Be the first to ReplyThis is a must visit restaurant if you're in Paris.
This Michelin star restaurant was exquisite in every way. The staff was fantastic, the restaurant was beautiful, and of course the food was top notch. You owe it to yourself to try this place out.

The great thing here is that it's one of the very few étoilés where you can have "true " French classics. There's a very strong tradition in France : The Sunday roasted chicken. Every French family will have a roasted chicken on Sunday. Ask around, it's very old school but very traditional. Some may do it monthly or less but the tradition is strong. Hence, it's extremely dangerous for a restaurant to have it on its menu. Every French father is a specialist and will tell you how it was done from generations in his family, and how it should be done! And yet, despite this enormous pressure, here you can have this monument of the French gastronomy! Well, you should have one. This is a great opportunity. It was superb (and I'm French, I do mine, my father did etc...). Also I comes with mushrooms (cèpes) that people would beg for!Simply for this it deserves its star. The crowd was business and upscale. You're eating at the Bristol, what would you expect ?My experience: I'm still dreaming of the cèpes with the chicken !

Tucked away in the famous Le Bristol Hotel sits this gem. Loved our lunch and was beautifully attended by staff who gave superb service. The food was amazing and I highly recommend eating here if you find yourselves in Paris.

We enjoyed a beautiful evening at " Le 114 Faubourg " located in the Paris. design district - a stones throw from the Élysée présidentielle mansion. We started by ordering a bottle of French wine from their extensive list. We chose to go with The Formule that begins with a fois gras soup and then includes pigeon steak and ends with a chocolate masterpiece I understand that the flour for the bread is ground in the hotel itself and the chocolate used in the desserts is made in house as well. The staff are extremely kind knowledgeable and friendly The staff was very kind and professional

Brilliant restaurant along Rue Saint Honore (Paris's fashion street central; easy and pleasant walk from Madeleine, Concorde, Place Vendome, etc.). Great food -- I had the best scallops of my life here. Great atmosphere. Definitely a luxury experience, but my server was great and very attentive. We three friends had a fabulous dining experience. I look forward to coming back.

Very nice ambiance for an informal Sunday dinner with my wife in this superb luxury hotel...Short but nice menu with several options of fish/seafood and meat - my wife had the cod and I enjoyed from one elaborate, full of flavor and well prepared steak tartare, preceded by "homage eggs", a subtle mixture of lobster mayo and eggs...Service was very good - all servers spoke perfect English.
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I came on Friday to dinner here.
We were a few minutes early, but were seated right away. Service was amazing from all of the staff. We had the artichoke soup and the egg appetizer. The egg one was very light and nice. We both loved the artichoke soup! They brought TINY pizza amuse-bouches. So cute and yummy. The dinner rolls were wonderful! We also ordered the Irish Steak medium rare with layered potatoes. So great! We were looking for a good wine, tasted one, but ended up going with the Coume del Mas. We had the ice cream sampler, flavors were fantastic, especially the passion fruit banana. If you've been to the 808 state, you'd understand about that flavor. I had the house's millefeuille. Fantastic. We were given sweets at the end, shortbread cookies and small chocolates. Really nice. I tried my best French with our server, and she encouraged me to use the menu. I feel like we were rewarded with some more sweets to take home. Wish we could come here again the next time we were in Paris!

Like the staters but main dishes are a bit salty. My favorite part is dessert - strawberry and poached figs is a good balance of sweet and sour.

I went to have lunch at Le 114 Faubourg several days ago based on their good review. I was very disappointed. I ordered the testing menu. the appetizer was good, but two main dishes, monkfish and chicken, were both too salty. I didn't even finish the chicken and peas, and the monkfish was either not fresh or not fully cooked, because my stomach was upset a couple of hours after I finished the meal. It was a terrible experience overall.

Delicious. Amazing service and amazing food. Wine was also on point with help from sommelier Narcis. The hotel itself is worth a visit. In the winter they have a beautiful forest path set up in the courtyard.Well worth a visit.

Truly exceptional service, delicious food, beautiful décor, and fabulous wine. Does it get any better than this? On the evening of my dinner it was pouring rain. I walked in with a soaking umbrella and damp jacket that the hosts stored for me with a smile. After being seated, I was quickly greeted by a friendly waitress who brought a menu written in English (a kind gesture). I reviewed the wine menu, asked her opinion, and was very pleased with the result. My meal also brought quite a bit of joy. Here's what I had the pleasure of eating:1. Complimentary amuse-bouche of Parmesan cakes with zucchini purée. Don't let the description fool you - - it was so good I could have eaten ten.2. Complimentary bread basket with both sweet and salted butters3. A second complimentary amuse-bouche of cod soup with squash purée and foam 4. Appetizer of roasted cabbage filled with crab and vegetables, surrounded by a creamy ginger foam5. Entrée of sea bass with potatoes 6. A ridiculously good cheese plate served with a cherry compote, figs, dried apricot, and a side salad7. Complimentary post-meal treats of chocolates and caramels (I was also sent home with a tin containing a second round of these!)Are you convinced that you need to dine here yet? If not, check out my photos and those of other Yelpers. If this isn't one of your must-try restaurants while in Paris, rethink that decision. :-)

Ok, I wanted to get a classic French meal from a well-known chef, but I only had jeans. This place was perfect. Located in the Hotel Bristol, it is overseen by the same chef that handles the Michelin 3star Epicure in the same hotel. I had the tasting menu for €114, and although it seemed a bit pricey, I can tell you that it was expensive, BUT WORTH IT. From the pink rock salt in the grinder to the option of salted or unsalted butter for the bread, attention to detail was the theme. I started out with a ceramic egg filled with king crab, lemon and green apples. Next was an Artichoke soup with black truffles. After that, Monkfish with carrots, peas, and a spring onion in a sauce of rosemary tomato and Basil. The star of the show was a parmesan encrusted veal Au jus with peas sautéed in butter with bacon. Dessert was some type of napoleon with salted caramel and ice cream. Definitely a top tier meal..... Even in Paris!
