Just ordered 2 meals to be picked up from here for Restaurant Week. Choices seemed pretty reasonable. Well, not so much because when I got there there was a substanial Gratuity, and I $15.00 pick up charge, neither of which was mentioned when the order was placed & it was not stated at the site either. I came very close to leaving the food there. The person who took my card says it is more trouble/effort to put a to go order together than for in the restaurant. Not!!! WIll not do this again from here. Have never before paid a to go charge.

I made reservations and thank goodness I called because apparently they didn't have me down and the GM decide to tell me that she was on vacation and doesn't know who took it but they could fit us in only if my party was all there exactly at 6. We get there, server (Sherry or Cheryl or whatever a older white lady)wasn't friendly at all. Out of the wine we ordered that was on the special menu/board. However, there was a lady, server there who we wish we had. Didn't catch her name but the she was the most friendly one in that restaurant. (She was a black woman who loved the fact that we gave her some cake from our dinner, I will give her a 5 star review). Some white lady in a red sleeveless shirt came over asked how our dinner was, didn't give me a chance to speak about the kid burger we ordered that was a hockey puck, said great and walked away. The pasta dish had no flavor what so ever. Had to ask for spices to spruce up the dish with flavor. Steaks were over cooked. I miss the old way the restaurant was!

Cinthia was so wonderful! Love the atmosphere of this place--comfy and home-ish. The relics and decoration make this place special

This place is a hidden gem! We didn't even realize they had a brunch on Sundays. We came here today and our server was Dionne. The brunch was excellent and Dionne did a great job! We will be back!

This was my husband and Is first time here and after reading some of the other reviews I'm surprised. When we first arrived we were the only ones there and they sat us by the window, the view was great. I started off with a Manhattan and it was fabulous. They give you complementary bread and we found ours to be tasteless, very hard & stale (but my husband ate it anyway). We had the crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and the dish is kind of perplexing. It comes out in an escargot baking dish so they are hotter than the surface of the sun when you try to take a bite. I didn't taste any mushroom or crab just a bunch of cheese on top of what might have been a mushroom slice. Not my fave.My husband and I shared a surf & turf and it was actually a lot better than it looked so we were very happy. We decided to drink our dessert(s) and were very fond of all. Our waitress was wonderful! My husband is a talker and she had no problem keeping up a conversation with us while also providing quick and excellent service. And do I even have to mention the decor? It's epic.

Let me just say that Dionne is the most amazing server I've ever met. She was an absolute delight.Anyway, this place was such a disappointment. We ordered the crab-stuffed mushrooms and while they were the best thing I ate, they were missing seasonings. Then, I ordered the French onion soup that arrived shortly after the mushrooms. Dionne remarked that the cheese should have been browned more and I agreed. The broth was missing depth and I wasn't a fan of the bread in it. Finally, I ordered the shrimp and scallop penne. The sauce was completely without flavor, the scallops were overcooked, and the shrimp tasted like feet. Yup, feet. Note: I mostly eat seafood..I declined when Dionne asked if I wanted a box and I was honest about why I didn't want one. She said she would get the owner, but she returned and said she'd give me half off of my martini. I rolled my eyes because what kind of manager doesn't come to talk to a customer who says their shrimp smells like feet?? Also, half off a martini - the highest marked up item on the menu?Dionne told me what to order next time and I told her we probably wouldn't be back because we weren't impressed and I was offended by the way the manager acted. By the time the check came, my entrée mysteriously disappeared, so that was nice. The drinks were great and we enjoyed several of them. Dionne absolutely made the best of a terrible experience.

I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I must say this was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. It took our server nineteen minutes to greet us. I wasn't too upset about that since my friend was running late. My friend arrives, the server takes her drink order, then thirty minutes go by and my friend still doesn't get her drink. I asked for a manager and she was very nice, she got my friend her drink within ten minutes and took our order. The food comes out and it was completely bland. By that point we are so hungry we just eat it. We get our desserts, a piece of carrot cake and chocolate cake. Both were very dry and not very good. The manager still charges us full price for our meals. At $35/ person, I am completely disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyLet's start with the positives: Service was great.
Loved our waitress! The location has always been very cool and nostalgic being from Gahanna and loving airplanes. Here we go: When I first sat down the table was slanted toward me and I didn't have much room between my legs and the table. The bread was old, store bought, and very dry and dense. I was excited to get the Caesar salad, but they were out of dressing, so I got the house salad. When it came out, it was a huge disappointment. Iceberg lettuce, cheap shredded cheese, store bought croutons. Very disappointing first course! I ordered the shrimp scampi for the second course and this solidified that the restaurant completely gave up. The sauce was a thick butter sauce that looked like something you would buy at a wholesaler. Then they randomly added some sloppily cut veggies and under seasoned mashed potatoes on the side. After that, I lost all hope and the dessert confirmed that. I ordered the carrot cake. It was extremely dry! I hit my spoon against it and it sounded like a rock! Again, cake was store bought and horrible quality. I truly hope they start to incorporate fresh ingredients, because my party and I will definitely not be back until they start to care.

We recently enjoyed dinner at the 94th Arero Squadron on the night before my dads Honor Flight for Veterans to Washington DC. It has such a unique and cool atmosphere that was perfect for this occasion. The service was great and the meals were delicious. We were staying at the Fairfield Inn beside the airport, and it's such an easy drive to the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyIt's been decades since I was last here.
When I worked at the airport it seems like we came every week, on Sunday for the buffet I think and just to hang out at the bar. There was a time when it was one of the places everyone talked about. It's still a neat place- built like a rambling French farmhouse, kinda, with all sorts of old photos and memorabilia. You can sit right by the edge of the airport, literally feet from an interior service road and not all that far from the runway. Great place to watch planes. The food used to be very good, the service was good, and it was fun to visit. Today we went for an airport employee reunion. Limited menu (burgers, brats, dips, etc.) Closed to the public (their hours are certainly restricted from what they used to be.) Baby K and I shared a brat and fries, and they were pretty good. Service was great. Prices are okay. It's still a fun place to check out. Not like anything else in town. It would be a good place for a wedding (if you're into planes and/or history.) Or another fair-sized event; we had maybe 50-100 people, and didn't come close to filling it up.
Be the first to ReplyEnded up leaving without having anything-they no longer
Ended up leaving without having anything-they no longer serve weekend brunch buffet because of the pandemic. I totally understand and respect the decision, though they should update the website and let people know. They offer a la cart brunch menu, for example, make your own omelet for $13 which comes with potatoes but no bread or anything else. The business hours changed as it's posted on the restaurant door but not on website (as of September 5,2021). I came here at 10:15am, thinking they open at 10am as stated on their site, waited for 45 minutes for the place to open to just find out they don't offer the brunch buffet anymore. Again, totally ok to not offer certain things but they should update the info so people who visit the restaurant would have info about the change.
Be the first to ReplySo disappointing.
I hadn't been here in years and good lord has this place gone down hill. The food taste like it was all taken out of a frozen package and microwaved. The server was ok but didn't talk much and had no clue about the menu when I asked her a few questions. I also cannot believe the prices on the meals and how much we paid, definitely no where near worth the price. The bread they give you at the beginning of the meal was so stale we couldn't eat it. The worst part was how filthy the place was. There wasn't a single spot you looked that didnt have at least one inch of dust on. We had gone once in the winter and the heat wasn't working so we ate with our jackets on and the food was just as bad. I had hoped this time things would be a little different and maybe better, but I was very wrong. I have no clue how this place is still open.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is mediocre at best.
The setting/decor is great. Someone had a great idea. However, we all eat out for the vibe, and the food has to be decent. This place could be so much better. I will be very surprised if this place lasts.
Be the first to ReplyThere is shabby chic and then there's just shabby.
Don't believe the pics they have on foursquare. There was an old plunger hanging up in the dining room along with the bedpan. The curtains hanging in the dining room were dusty, old and didn't even match. This place should be on Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmares. And could I get some heat in there. It's 24° out and it's only 45 in their. She had to move us to a different table because the windows and walls are so drafty and cold. Then the waitress brought out some dry bread in a tin plate, no serving plates for the bread. I'm all for creating a certain atmosphere but this place was just downright gross. Then when we finally did get our dinner. My husband got steak that was incredibly dry and should've come from Applebee's. I got the chicken scallopini. The chicken was mushy. The veggies weren't cooked and were bland. My son got a cheeseburger and it was dry and flavorless. About the only thing they got right were the cokes. Needless to say we walked out.
Be the first to ReplyIf I were participating in Restaurant Week, I would
If I were participating in Restaurant Week, I would certainly want to show my best! If this is the best that 94th can do... Look, I get it, the atmosphere of this place is on point, cool relics from days past, awesome old construction, come on folks, they have their own plane out front! How could you not like that! Well, that was about the only thing I liked. We had reservations, not sure why. The place was pretty dead, which is why I was disappointed in the service. We waited for longer than we should have, the drink order was incorrect, the meal order was incorrect, and forget about any refills on water. I ordered the beer cheese soup, smooth texture and a good flavor. I ordered a mixed drink, which was brought out incorrectly, I ordered the sauce on the side of our chicken dish, sauce covered the entire plate. The prime rib was bland and barely warm. The mashed potatoes were barely warm. The mixed vegetables were the best thing on the plate. If you look at the chocolate cake, you will notice that the icing was missing. This cake was visibly different than the others going to other tables. Theirs had icing on top, and the whipped cream on top. On ours, the icing was scraped off and dry tasteless cake was put on the plate. Must have been the leftovers in the the pan for this one. Overall, I had high hopes given the varying reviews, but it was a huge letdown. I would recommend stopping in for a drink, and looking at the cool relics and interior, but skip the food you could have a better meal at a fast food joint.
