So the location is amazing if you want to be near shows and Covent garden. It's not as swanky as things you will find in Mayfair but I prefer Covent gardens bc of the array of shopping and food choices. Theater is close by and this location is really hard to beat. The staff is absolutely top notch and 5 star and very helpful. Always friendly and super helpful. The rooms..well they are an old hotel and it's hard to do much with it. Rooms are clean and serviceable. My bed was actually very comfortable and housekeeping was prompt. I would recommend getting a room with lounge access as they have snacks and happy hour everyday and that's well very cozy Overall a great stay and we had some things go wrong in the room but they were prompt in fixing. We did like booking with Hilton bc they do allow you to book connecting rooms which if you are traveling with kids it's imperative

Can hardly even be effusive enough about our recent stay! What a delight from start to finish. Every team member is so kind and helpful, from the front desk to the concierge and porters to the breakfast and tea room. Lovely rooms, comfy beds, beautiful trappings, and some wonderful history. Delicious and bountiful daily breakfast, and the unique Beauty and the Beast tea was a whimsical, magical treat! Excellent service, atmosphere, and offerings in the executive lounge. Location can't be beat. Will ABSOLUTELY return!
Be the first to ReplyStayed here for two nights and located in a good location
Stayed here for two nights and located in a good location and near two Tube Stations which is extremely convenient. Room was relatively large for being in the UK. Our room was unfortunately right in front of the elevator so we could hear it opening and closing. But the room and bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was large but I have two things to say. They place the flush button above the toilet but the toilet seat cover covers it so when you flush you have to push the seat cover slightly to flush which is not efficient. The bathtub is this half glass that swings so things can get wet when showering.
Be the first to ReplyI spent eleven glorious nights here recently.
The hotel underwent a renovation around 2014. Arguably, it's time again but it's still quite comfortable and much nicer than last time. I began in an adorable apartment style queen room on the fourth floor. I liked that it had a foyer. I was moved as an upgrade to the second floor E rooms with a king. It did not have the foyer but the size for central London? Wowza! It's light on bathroom and room amenities here, but still wonderful. It's a fave of Hilton Diamond guests. The lounge is comfortable but crowded. So, consider that you don't want to expect to rely on the club everyday. The location cannot be beat. It was an easy walk to Convent Garden and Trafalgar Square. It's in the heart of the theatre district, so it's absolutely perfect for seeing shows. It's an easy walk to Bloomsbury too. But, the bus stop is right outside the door. It was so easy going as far as Highgate and Shoreditch, in the pouring rain! The Monkey Bar is soothing. It stops serving food at 11, closes at midnight. It's swanky without the fuss. The servers are so nice and they hustle! The door men were simply our favorite. While we need no help in London (lived there), they still offered ideas and always checked to make sure we had plans, an umbrella and a strategy for dinner. Worth every dollar spent. Perfect for the seasoned UK traveller or couple. Not for families, mainly business travelers and couples. Little for kids or teens here. See website for all the details.
Be the first to ReplyI should preface this by saying that I'm a Marriott
I should preface this by saying that I'm a Marriott loyalist. I had originally booked the W London, but I couldn't get over how expensive it was going to be and after searching for more affordable options at a similar star rating, the Waldorf came up. Staying at the Waldorf for 4 nights was over $1000 cheaper than any of the nearby Marriotts so I had to suck it up and put loyalty aside. Our stay was so excellent that could I dare be converted? Location: I loved that the hotel was located within walking distance of Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus (and all the rest of the major tourist hotspots), BUT it wasn't right smack dab in the center of it. Because of that, it wasn't loud and you weren't fighting to get through people to enter into the hotel. Just being a few streets away gave it a calm and less busy feeling even though it was so close to the action. Service: The service was excellent. From the wonderfully friendly and pleasant doormen who greeted us daily to the awesome housekeeping staff, everyone was great. The housekeeping team was especially phenomenal. Our room was cleaned so thoroughly and organized beautifully. I felt like they did an exceptional job with more attention to detail than I've experienced in other places. Room: I was worried the room would be tiny, but it was actually more spacious than expected, especially since we had chosen the lowest cost and size option. We were able to spread out all of our things across the room. I appreciated that the room had a variety of plugs (UK, EU and US plugs). This was helpful! What an absolute great stay! I would 100% stay here again. Pro tip: use the Holborn tube station going to and from the airport. The covent garden one may be closer but it's an absolute mess and it's much easier to navigate the Holborn one.

I stayed for business for 4 days in October 2023, and I would love to return on a future trip. My room was tiny--but a jewel box! Everything I like and love for travel was in place: Adjustable lighting for tasks and ambiance; a pretty little desk big enough for laptop work; comfortable bath; and a kettle + tea setup with china and biscuits. Extra bonus: a big and useful gym. And oh yes, when I arrived jet lagged and starving, the doorman directed me to a nearby coffee shop for the perfect big greasy breakfast.
Be the first to ReplyFirstly, the good.
.. I was given a room upon early arrival (King Executive) and staying 3 nights. The breakfast in the Executive lounge is lovely. The bad... 1. No in-house pressing/laundry service (unexpected for a purportedly 5-star property) 2. Room is musty smelling 3. Dirty stained towels 4. After stating clearly I did not want delivery of a package to my room until my son's arrival because I was planning to sleep after an overnight flight from New York, WITH THE DO NOT DISTURB LIGHT AND TAG ON THE DOOR, much to my surprise when I was awakened when an employee entered my bedroom with his key to deliver the package. 5. After complaining to management about the unauthorized entry, a gentleman knocked on the door twice (privacy light still was on with tag on the door) to deliver laundry. It was someone else's laundry - not mine. 5. Housekeeping did not replenish coffee/biscuits or water. We had to phone to get this. 6. There was a drip from the ceiling. Engineering came - saw the drip on the rug and the spot on the ceiling beam - and recommended a room change that never was realized. 7. Came back from Executive lounge where room key worked to enter but upon return our keys were deactivated. For 1,000 GBP per night I expect WAY BETTER!!!! Do not stay at the Waldorf London - it's no longer a gem in London.
Be the first to ReplyDo r let them put you on the 8th floor if you have luggage.
Elevator only goes to 7th floor and there is no one to be found to help with luggage upon check out. Called Receptionist; concierge and guest services. Each wrong over 20 times with no answer at 10:40 am on a Friday. Beautiful property poorly staffed.
Be the first to ReplyThis hotel is in a historic building.
It is really well kept, and my wife and I enjoyed our stay. The breakfast buffet was worth the money and everything about this stay was nice. It is centrally located and public transportation is right outside the front door.
Be the first to ReplyAfter hopping on the Big Red bus we decided to hop off to
After hopping on the Big Red bus we decided to hop off to have some lunch. My friend was excited to see we were near the Waldorf and so we decided to eat in the bar area. The service was horrendous our waiter was very unpleasant and seemed to hate his job. I ordered a bloody mary which took forever to get and if I had known it would be so horrible I would have never ordered it, it was like a glass of tomato juice. The place wasn't that busy but it did seem like he was the only waiter around I ordered the fish and chips and my friend ordered the Waldorf salad of course. When the fish and chips finally came out I will have to say it was the best fish and chips of my life so that made up for the horrible service. The fries were crispy and perfect like some of the best fries I've ever had and I love the way they prepared the fish because it wasn't just a deep fried blob it was more of a crispy perfectly seasoned perfectly cooked filet. We had drank all of our Waters during the wait and I was trying to get the waiters attention for some more water but he would not look our way at all like I was staring hard and he would never look. Finally he looked up and I did a little wave and he rolled his eyes and I made a gesture like he was appalled that I waved at him. He then proceeded to ignore us forever like at least another half an hour I almost went to the bathroom and filled my glass of water I was so thirsty but the way he looked at me I was afraid to stand up and go get some more water. In summary I'm still angry at that jerk but I'm still in love with the fish and chips and if he had been any kind of a decent waiter, he would have asked me about why I didn't drink my drink and take it off the bill, but he didn't. So hopefully you don't get the bald jerk that we had.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent hotel from many angles.
Would come back again & again. Location is in the heart of the Theater District in the West End. Momma Mia, Frozen and Tina were playing within 1/2 block. The Aldwych & Novello theaters are about 75 ft from hotel front door. Walk to British Museum, Trafalger Square in 10 to 15 minutes. Covent Gardens is a bit touristy but a 5 minute walk. Service of Concierge and Doorman was excellent. Get to know the Doorman as he knows more than concierge about directions, taxis & Busses. Get the breakfast included rate at Homage restaurant. Huge self-serve selection or order from the menu as all is included. Champagne included on weekends. Peek in the adjacent Salon Room - it was used as a filming set in The Titanic. You will recognize it from the movie. Good Godfrey's Bar was my favorite place in hotel. If you have a favorite table, as we did, you can reserve it earlier. Then people watch out the window to the bustle on the street while you relax with your drink. You have full access to huge Fitness First gym. Weights, steam bath and pool.Balthazar & The Delaunay are two fine dining restaurants a block away with New York steakhouse vibes. Also, Cote Brasserie is good for more modest meal.
Be the first to ReplyWe stayed here for one night in London because I couldn't
We stayed here for one night in London because I couldn't get an extra night at the other hotel we'd booked when we decided to expand our stay by one night. In any event, we came here straight from the airport and even though it was only 1:00 pm, we were able to check into our room, which was a blessing. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. The towel warmers in the bathroom were lovely. I liked the stand alone shower we had in the bathroom but it was pretty small and it had a rainfall shower head, which meant it was hard to open my eyes in the shower because there was no way to get out of the stream of the water and it was pouring directly on top of my head. But that's a personal quirk of mine that I prefer a showerhead that lets you keep your head out of the water when you choose. The elevators were efficient, which is a win in an older hotel like this. The front desk and bell staff were all super nice. The only things that weren't great were the executive lounge and the room on the second day. The lounge was really small so when we went for the happy hour, there was no room to sit so we just grabbed coffees and left. We got there early for breakfast and were able to find a table but by the time we left, it was nearly standing room only. On the morning we checked out, the room had a weird smell, like sewer gas. It was really strong in one part of the room. Not sure what that was about but we were checking out so it didn't really matter too much.Overall, I liked this hotel. The location was great, very close to Covent Garden and easy to get buses, trains or tube service to zip your way around London.
Be the first to ReplyI stayed at this hotel in January of 2023.
The hotel is very nice and accommodating. But the real highlight was the bar staff at the Good Godfrey in the lobby. Abby, Isabelle and Alexander went above and beyond. They make the best cocktails and have the best banter. Highly recommend going and saying hello.
Be the first to ReplyNothing really wrong with the hotel.
Comfortable temperature very friendly PorterBut I'll drop off your dry cleaning at the front desk they won't give it to housekeeping.

Lovely hotel, does get a little busy and noisy due to conventions, but nothing to fret about. Staff was friendly upon arrival and throughout our stay. The only "poor" experience would be when we were leaving and I asked the front desk gal (Indian) if she had a bag (garbage/anything) to be used as a puke bag for the car ride. She made no effort and was short and rude to me. If she turned her head, there were Halloween pumpkins plastic buckets with plastic bags in there... mind you, this request was for a 9 year that was right next to me. I didn't want to deal with her..... the doorman saw my annoyance.
Be the first to ReplyIf you have the desire to stay in one of the very best
If you have the desire to stay in one of the very best parts of London, and don't mind paying for this level of service, you cannot beat the Waldorf Hilton. Beautiful room, top-tier service, and literally 5 minutes from Covent Garden, a premier shopping/dining area.
Be the first to ReplyRude, unprofessional, racistI've stayed at Waldorf all
Rude, unprofessional, racistI've stayed at Waldorf all around the world and my stay at this Waldorf London was the worst hotel staying experience I've had in my life.Starting with check in---When I arrived, no one came to help with my luggage, i had to carry my 3 large suitcases up the steps myself.I arrived early and no room was available at the time, so I had to leave my luggage with the concierge. I was politely asking the concierge ( not sure his name was , but black male in his 30s) if he could leave my luggage inside of the storage room as my passport and wallets were in there. Instead of responding to my question, he said : "have a good day sir". So I had to repeat myself again asking him to put my luggage in the storage room. He responded with :" I said have a good day sir" still without answering my question. During my stay, part of their staff seem all have an attitude towards me, don't know if it's because I'm Asian or they're just generally rude. At my last day at this hotel, I requested 1pm late check out as a Hilton hold member benefit. I went down to the front desk 2 times to confirm because I didn't trust these staff, and I wouldn't be surprised if they throw my luggage out based on how they treated me during my stay. And the front desk said it's confirmed both times. When I went back to the hotel at 12:40pm, of course the key card stopped working, I had to go down to the desk again and told the lady at front desk at the time the situation and my stay here was a disaster. She did not respond with a word, reprogrammed the keycard, threw it back to the counter...At this point I was pretty sure that this hotel's staff aren't only just unprofessional, there's a big chance that they're just racist against Asians. I would never stay here again. Very insulted.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful hotel in a perfect London location, theatre
Wonderful hotel in a perfect London location, theatre district with easy walk to all points of interest. Very nice rooms, typically european size but comfortable. Staff is outstanding in every way, great bar and restaurant with a separate room for tea. Just what we wanted for our stay in london
Be the first to ReplyClassic hotel that perfectly captures the vintage charm of
Classic hotel that perfectly captures the vintage charm of Coventry. The property is perfectly located as a central hub in London for exploring, and the amenities are solid. The best element, which is true at all high-level hotels, is the staff.I arrived at the hotel 6-hours after landing because of a lost luggage issue. I arrived with no luggage, no toiletries, no energy, no patience, no nothing - only to be told that, although I had a reservation, the hotel was booked at the level that I secured a room. Without any hesitation Sadia (front desk) assured me I would be accommodated. She immediately made me feel I was in good hands, and enlisted the assist of Stephane (manager) to not only honor my reservation (that was made last minute by me, so I could have no one to blame if the situation went south), but to upgrade my room as an accommodation for the confusion.Their ability to honor my last minute reservation, and make me feel valued was amazing. I appreciated the room upgrade as a courtesy, but the real value was their grace and compassion regarding my situation. The made me truly feel like a guest, and went the extra step to coach me on where to find replacement clothes on the fly tomorrow to carry me until my luggage is returned.I am a pretty loyal patron, and I've found Hilton hotels always return my investment in them, but the humanity and warmth I experienced with Sadia and Stephane took my loyalty to another level.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful hotel in an excellent location.
Very close to Covent Garden and all the great music, theater, restaurants and shopping. Easy walk to everything. Irena, manager of the Executive Lounge, was incredible! Such a sweet lady! She remembered us from our first visit a month ago at the start of our trip. She even remembered that it was my 70th birthday on our return so she had something very special arranged when got to our room. Highly recommend this excellent hotel.
Be the first to ReplyUnpleasant experience.
Room was dirty and some parts poorly maintained (see pictures). A/C did not work nor did the mini fridge. Went for afternoon tea but there was a wedding party going on just next door with very loud music, combined with poor service it was not a good experience. After staying the first night we cancelled the second.
Be the first to ReplyQuite possibly the most disappointing hotel stay I have
Quite possibly the most disappointing hotel stay I have ever had. Aside from the location and the incredibly lovely doormen, there are very few redeeming qualities to this hotel. The rooms are small and the beds are uncomfortable. The pillows are paper thin. When we arrived to our room, the A/C wasn't working. We called and maintenance informed us the unit was hard set to heat. The room took 4 hours to cool down so we requested a fan THREE different times and no fan ever arrived. We ordered room service on our last night and ordered the vegan burger on the menu. They brought a chicken sandwich instead because "they don't have the vegan burger" but didn't call to ask what kind of replacement we would like. You will be specifically paying for a great location here but that alone doesn't make it worth it the price. We came here by recommendation and to say we have been completely disappointed is an understatement.Do yourself a favor and find a better place to stay.

Great stay, friendly service, and a delicious continental breakfast! Well apportioned room.
Be the first to ReplySo... the Waldorf Hilton. I had a once in a lifetime
So... the Waldorf Hilton. I had a once in a lifetime chance to stay here in November. I found an amazing price on Hilton's website (the flex Honor's price, cancelable until 3 days before arrival), and I had heard how great the location is. The location is fantastic if you want to go to theatres. There are direct bus lines from many parts of the city, and it is a short walk to tube and train stations. The room I had was nice with a walk in closet. The bed was comfortable. There was enough storage space for my closes for 9 days. There was a cute alcove with a window looking north towards the BT tower, and my other window was south towards the London eye. I was on the 7th floor. There are some steps from the elevator to the room, but that is fine for me. The gym that you have access to is really good! I used it one day until I unfortunately started running in boots and gave myself blisters (I'm no longer used to wearing boots every day). The issue I had on arrival that I specifically requested on the request form was for the radiant heated towel rack to be on, it wasn't, but they fixed it for the next day.Why 3 stars? House keeping. House keeping would come to my room early. About 9 am. I'd be getting ready to leave the room to go out, since that's when my friends would want to meet up. It would be after I had breakfast. I would tell them, I'll be out of the room in less than an hour, and I'd leave the convenient "Please clean room" light on. When I returned to the room 12-13 hours later, the room would not have been serviced. I'd have no tea/milk clean glasses or cups for the next morning. The towels were dirty, and on the floor. (I'm not trying to be wasteful, but English shower/tub combos with the moveable plastic arm instead of a shower curtain, I don't understand them -- they always seem to have a gap, so no matter how I tried, the water leaks onto the floor, so I mopped it up with my used towels).I spoke with the front desk almost every night asking for new towels, toiletries, things for tea, and new glasses. I think my room was serviced twice by the time I arrived back late at night. This was extremely frustrating for a fancy hotel. The breakfast was nice. The executive lounge also nice. I only took advantage of the evening hor dourves once.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent water pressure in the showers.
Well appointed lobby. Friendly and helpful staff. Both the pressure and volume in the shower is wonderful. Rooms on the small side, but that's what you get downtown. Clean and meets Hilton expectations.
