The steak recommended by waiter s great.
Even though the sea food there is not their best.
Be the first to ReplyThe steaks are great, great service provided.
The drinks are always excellent. They have some excellent whiskey options.

Love this place they've never disappointed you always have great service. The food is always amazing as well. You can't go wrong with it bill it is expensive but this off and the blow was giving you a cotton candy which makes it all worth it and put a smile on your face.

Came for a private event, so this review is not for the normal customers. The private event was held at a room with a long table. Service was available whenever we needed but not too intrusive, however the room is just too small for a group of 20 to mingle. Once you stand on one side of the table it's hard to move to the other side. We had a game that required a monitor and the monitor was too small for the old eyes at the other end of the table. Wine was excellent. I also tried their 2 house special cocktails. House of Dragon and Curious George, they are both delicious but Curious George was difficult for me to reconcile the description of banana and chocolate to an almost clear glass of beverage. I was expecting a thick chocolate syrupy texture based on the description. Food was not bad. The hamachi shot was ok, somehow the freshness didn't pop. The scallops were excellent and the 19oz prime rib was fat enough but a bit hard to cut. The chocolate mousses was average, can't go wrong anyways. Overall it was a good dinner, service was attentive in carrying through the menu. The wine collection was good. My mind was still fixated at the first time I came that they had the sampling menu that offered a comparison of angus beef and Wagyu beef and the wagyu cube just melted in the mouth like butter. That was the best memory that couldn't be topped with the rest few visits.

Too expensive and the food doesn't match the quality expected for such a place. They have very impressive meat displays that look great but the taste wasn't nothing special. I grew up in Argentina and I know my BBQ and meats and this place shouldn't be consider a top meat restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious, celebrated my birthday there.
Kind and attentive servers. A favorite spot. Even though it is pricey, worth it as a treat.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service from the moment you pass through the door.
Your waitstaff are courteous , knowledgeable and well trained. My favorite is the Prime Rib which is everything you expect from the selection with a depth of flavor that caresses your senses into bliss

We came here to celebrate our friend's 40th birthday on a Saturday night. This is a 3.75 star based on mixed reviews from our party of 10 more so on the food due to blandness, cold, too rare and not enough sauce. Service here otherwise was AMAZING! A big place but didn't feel the presence of other guests around us. They kept our table clean of crumbs, refolded our napkin when a guest left, water glasses were never empty, we were given complimentary cotton candy that was grape flavored and they brought out the birthday boy a dessert with a candle. We also had guava like gumdrops and blueberry mochi bites that were delicious! Pictured pros: * amuse bouche - spicy tuna tartare bite. This was tasty! * diver scallops with kabocha puree, bacon, apple puree , scallop just for $33 that were delicious! (my bf and i LOVE scallops!) * hamachi shots (6 ea): truffled ponzu, fresno chili, avocado and ginger $42 * popcorn crab: jumbo lump crab / sansho pepper / sriracha aïoli $44 * a5 wagyu taco: wagyu tartare / jalapeno aioli / chives $20 [BDAY BOY said this was his favorite] * Cucumber coolness with cucumber juice, lime and sprite for $6 this was refreshing and tasty! * uni fried rice: shishito pepper, bacon and uni $48 - enough for 4 adults, but we agreed this was somewhat salty. My bf and i took the leftovers home and mixed it in with some fresh white rice that was fire. After it was balanced out i would say 4 star since it had flavor and the uni was creamy! * asparagus: steamed asparagus, crab and bernaise $28 Pictured indifferent: * Prime filet mignon with fines herbs, pickled shallots and a demi glaze reduction - 8 oz for $71. This was good with the side of wild mushrooms that a friend of ours let me have that had garlic, shallot, thyme, white wine and butter for $18. My bf + i each had one and ours were a little bit more rare than we would like in the middle but we still ate it and at least we didn't get sick! Not pictured pros: * truffle french fries: white truffle oil and parmesan $18 5 star Not pictured cons: * [BDAY BOY] prime dry aged porterhouse: grilled red endive, black garlic sauce and basil oil - 28 oz. $118 Asked for a medium rare, got a blue rare steak. No flavor. And when a new one came out I was too full to eat it. Bone marrow was too sweet, and was cold by the time I got it, so it was congealed. Meal not worth the price. Won't be going again. * 2 of my friends got the prime split-bone ribeye: corn shishito relish, kimchi sauce and scallions - 19 oz. $91 [1 out of my 2 friends] Bland ribeye, bland watery mashed potatoes. [other friend] didn't think his was bland. * prime dry aged bone-in New York: green peppercorn sauce / pickled mustard seeds - 22 oz. $94 needed more sauce on steak, it was pretty cold and rare * roasted bone marrow: basil breadcrumbs, shiitake mushroom duxelle and unagi $25 * mero" sea bass: tiger prawn, fregola sarda, saffron bouillon, sun dried tomatoes $54 * yukon gold mashed potatoes with butter and more butter $18 Not pictured indifferent * jamon iberico cinco jotas: apple butternut mostarda, burrata cheese and balsamic pearls 1 oz $42 * sweet corn with shishito pepper, makrut lime and parmesan $18 * a5 wagyu slider: maple onion jam, candied bacon and apple mostarda $16 each * truffle mac 'n cheese with white truffle oil and white cheddar $18 * furikake caesar salad: 63 degree egg, furikake, parmesan and white anchovy $17 * prime new york strip: grilled asparagus / chili garlic beurre blanc / basil oil - 12 oz. $71 * tajima f1 Strip, Australia: f1 crossbreed between japanese and australian cattle - 10 oz. $175

This place is amazing for a "chain restaurant!" My SO made a dinner reservation for the day after Valentine's so there was no wait. We were given a complimentary bread basket with delicious buttery croissants and these giant, flat, crispy sesame...crackers...as well as some whipped butter with chives. We were given a small sampler of crab salad with a dollop of Sriracha on top. Seems like they give out samples of whatever the chef feels like that day. The popcorn crab appetizer that we ordered consists of incredibly soft crab seamlessly merged with the light fried shell. The spicy aioli dip on the side was perfect too. Before our steak arrived, we had the fascinating experience of our waiter cleaning the table with a little squeegee-like device since we got crumbs from the bread basket everywhere. The 28 oz porterhouse we ordered to share was juicy and had great marbling in every bite. We also used the sharp knife tip to scrape off meat from the bone. The taste of truffles in the truffle Mac and cheese side we ordered was pretty strong but not overpowering. Loved the crispy breadcrumb top too! We finished off the meal with some leftover chocolate truffles and raspberry gummies, likely leftovers from Valentine's day. There was also another free dessert of blue raspberry cotton candy. Definitely coming back some other time for more! Maybe sometime during lunch since they have specials
Be the first to ReplyBest fancy restaurant in the South Bay.
Real Kobe Wagyu and amazing deserts as well. Great for celebrating special occasions
Be the first to ReplyAmazing period point blank.
Starts from ambience, customer service, food, presentation..... everything l!!
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance is great.
Server was lackluster for a $200 bill. The food was solid and the steak was cooked pretty dang well.

Great food, exceedingly knowledgeable service, and little stuffy/pretentious to the point of feeling like you're dining in a museum: think of trying to eat pasta with red sauce while wearing white linen. Your meal will probably be about the price of a car payment, and it won't be the best steak you've ever had (just really really good).. so if you're ok going into it with those expectations you should leave happy. Oh and be sure to get a six pack of those hamachi shots. I can eat those all day every day.
Be the first to ReplyGreat choice for all the steak aficionados.
Service is fantastic and the Salmon tartar was so good! Prix Fixés options available for lunch. Make sure to make room for the dessert and complimentary cotton candy. It's a luxurious experience of atmosphere and cuisine that you'll really enjoy!
Be the first to ReplyYesterday attempted to make a to go order on their website.
Ordered $240 worth of food and then paid at the shopping cart, selected a time to pick up and hit submit. The transaction started to process and then came to a timer. It explained how great they are and this order is personally gone over. I watched the timer go down and down and then hit zero. Then a big UH-OH, we didn't confirm your order in time.Damn we're sorry about that but now we're keeping your money, your order didn't go through, you should get money back later but maybe as long as 10 days. Not our fault call your bank.I called a manager who was no help and there's nothing he can do. I was pissed. To go from picking up a nice lunch to being out $230 and hungry. Customer service was no help to fix this. Wasted time calling my bank. What a bunch of BS. Seems like this can be improved on, Felt like being robbed with the promise of a payback of money stolen.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food, amazing service, overall definitely recommend.
The service was outstanding.
Be the first to ReplyI enjoyed my dining experience at this restaurant, though I
I enjoyed my dining experience at this restaurant, though I must admit that my high-end meal did come at a steep price of over $500 for two wagyu cuts and a couple of appetizers. The restaurant is one of the few places in the United States that offers authentic Kobe beef, and they definitely didn't disappoint in terms of quality. While I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, I can't say the same for some of the other cuts on the menu. They may not be worth the high prices for those who are looking to save some money. My advice would be to splurge on the premium options or consider exploring other dining options if you're looking for more affordable options.
Be the first to ReplyMy overall experience was quite good here.
Our hostess was very thorough with explaining the different menu items. She was knowledgeable about the textures and quality of the meat. I had mine medium done as always. Well seasoned and perfect combination of fat and chew. I had truffle fries and mash potatoes for sides. You can't go wrong with fries, but the mash potato was delicious...it was very thick, almost chewy texture because of how much butter was in it. I think I gained a couple % of body fat after that lol. The complimentary bread came in a couple of forms(sesame croissants, thin crunch, and regular)
Be the first to ReplyIt had been quite a while since I'd been to an Alexander's
It had been quite a while since I'd been to an Alexander's Steakhouse, but suffice to say that I had a memorable Christmas Eve dinner. Making a reservation by phone was easy, and we did not have to wait too long after getting checked in. In short, the food was good (not mind-blowing), but the service was phenomenal. Yes, the steaks were tasty but the sides were really where it's at (even if the portions are pretty small). Based on the price, I'm not sure if I would come back, but I am glad that I went and would recommend it to others. Here's what I had:Spanish Octopus - Cooked perfectly. Fantastic with the sausage.Roasted Bone Marrow - Probably my favorite bite of the entire meal. They really elevated bone marrow. The fattiness of the bone marrow, the earthiness of the duxelle, and the sweet and saltiness of the unagi was something I wasn't expecting. Amazing.Prime Dry Aged Porterhouse - Four people in our party split 2 porterhouses, and it was more than enough. They were good, but lacked basic seasoning. I'm not sure if the restaurant expected us to rely on the small seasoning salt flight to actually season the meat. Have I had better porterhouses elsewhere? Yes, because they were seasoned.A5 Wagyu (Ohmi, Shiga) - Super rich, as advertised. It was a nice little treat for the table to have a bite or two.Brussels Sprouts - Who doesn't like bacon with their brussels sprouts? A solid side.Wild Mushrooms - They were tender and complemented the steaks well.Truffle Mac 'N Cheese - Very creamy and I definitely tasted the truffle. I just wish there was more of it.Truffled French Fries - Run of the mill truffle fries. I definitely got the truffle flavor.

Although I had never dined at Alexander's before, I was excited to try their takeout option. Placing my order online was easy, and my food was ready for pickup on time. In the comfort of my car, I savored the following dishes:Hamachi shots: The fish was fresh and the greens added a fresh element to the dish. I loved the ponzu sauce that added acidity to the mix. The DIY kit allowed for ample fish for sharing.Kobe A5: This was my first time trying Kobe beef, and it was a revelation! The meat was incredibly buttery and delicious. Even the smallest portion (3oz) was rich and satisfying. The potatoes served on the side were a perfect complement.Uni fried rice: Although I thought it was alright, my friends enjoyed it. The dish had several flavors going on, and it was a great side dish to have.Sautéed broccolini: The combination of garlic, chili, sundried tomatoes, and pecorino with the broccolini was interesting and flavorful.Yukon gold mashed potatoes: These were so buttery and delicious!I am eager to return to Alexander's and try more of their extensive menu!

Our first time---and it won't be the last! Amelia was our server and she was excellent. Steaks were highest quality/delicious, salads unique, and dessert extraordinary!! Kiwi cotton candy--wow!! But the chocolate banana dessert was amazing!!

Appetizers: spicy tuna tartare and A5 wagyu sliderEntree and sides: Filet mignon, NY strip, truffle fries, truffle mac and cheeseDesserts: cotton candy, complimentary dessertDrinks: cupertini, drunk muchkin, complimentary wineThe service was amazing. Our server was very attentive and got the best angles for our pictures. The food was so good. I thought it was overpriced but the portions surprised me, especially the truffle fries. We managed to take home a lot of leftovers. We had an amazing experience. I can't wait to return.

Went for our 4 year anniversary and the service was great! A very good flow for the meal. We had the hamachi shots, bone marrow, surf and turf and a steak. The hamachi shots had a super complex flavor and are definitely worth trying especially since you can order single shots. The bone marrow was also very flavorful due to the eel and each bite was very tasty and unique. The ambiance was decent. I'm not sure it was worth the price, but an overall good experience.
