This was our last nite in Venice , my husband made the perfect reservation . Walking into the restaurant we were greeted by the hotels staff that led us to the restaurant. We were greeted by the server , and led to our table . It was a nice intimate dim setting that had about 8 tables for seating ! The server offered an à la cart 8 corse meal . I had a pistachio crust fish that was made to perfection , we had some really cool tasty bites complemented by the chef ! My husband pared the wines perfectly with our dinner . I had my favorite dessert which is a cream brûlée. I recommend this place if your looking for a nice calm dinner nite out .
Be the first to ReplyThe perfect ending to our vacation in Venice.
The food was out of this world. Course after course of perfection. Albeit, we didn't do the courses since we didn't want to be limited; just a cornucopia of excellence. Service was impeccable; highly accommodating and polished. Ambiance was elegant and refined- reminiscent of Daniel. Out the door bill of 700+ euros but well worth it; but then again who is counting?
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food and service.
This is a dining experience, not just food. Our experience was for a special Valentine's meal created by the chef. It is my birthday and dining here was a surprise. The mall was 4.5 and was one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had.Every single course was visually stunning and tasted amazing. I can't even describe how good it was, you have to try it if you are in Venice. I know I'll be going again when I visit Venice again
Be the first to ReplyWhile on vacation, food is very important.
After reading several reviews for this restaurant, we made it a point to go to this restaurant. The venue is very nice and upscale which was inviting. However, the service was not up to par. They were short staffed, wine glasses has left of smudge, our food was presented to the table next to us(they were finishing their last drink and had already paid. Food was presented nicely however taste did not live up to the presentation. Instead of the tasting menu, we decided to do a la carte, four courses each. While ordering, assuming small portions, the waiter never mentioned that perhaps that would be too much food as full size items were served. Due to lack of staff, it took up almost 3.5 hours of our evening for mediocre food. We almost wanted to cancel the last two courses however thought it might improve. Go for the ambience, not for the food. I would like to hope they were having a bad evening.

We had a magical afternoon on Christmas Day! They seated our party of 14 in the wine cellar. We had the 5 course dinner with wine pairing. They were able to alter the dishes to accomodate our Gluten Free & Vegetarian members. The food, wine & service was absolutely amazing. Truly memorable! Thank you!
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant was inside a very nice hotel.
It's a smaller restaurant so make sure to you make a reservation. If you are staying at a hotel, definitely have your hotel make the reservation for you, as the self option via their website was not as trust worthy. Dinner was great! You do not get large portions here please see my tips below regarding this as I do not judge European restaurants on portion size. Their portions are different, I'm just telling you for basis on how hungry you may be! Often you will see first and second courses on Italian menus. This would be a place to do a couple courses to feed your soul. I had the ravioli with broccoli and anchovies. It was just the best! The broccoli sauce was magnificent. My pallet was thoroughly pleased! Cost of dinner here was a bit ore expensive. We also ordered a bottle of red wine which was perfect. Not bitter, not dry and just a touch of sweet. In all we spent around 100 euros and we only had one dinner selection a piece. It could become more costly depending on what you order. Also feel free to dress up a bit! It's classy. Few tips to keep in mind: 1. This was a nice little restaurant with smaller portion size. (I say that because portion sizes are often different in each country, so if you are coming from the states, do not expect large portion sizes as we often see in restaurants from the US. Judging it based on that would be unfair). 2. Something else to consider, in Italy, you cannot judge service on speed. You are not rushed in restaurants to order, eat and pay. Often they will not ask if you ready for your check until you ask. They also do not check on tables as frequently as seen in the US. Judging the restaurant on that aspect would also be unfair. Enjoy the experience!3. A service charge for each restaurant is automatically added.

I saw the menu on-line and appreciated the choices, so made a reservation. What I wasn't expecting was the best meal of my life. Although they don't (????) mention it they are MIchelin rated and absolutely deserve it.

One of the worst dining experiences we had while we were in Venice. It's not that someone else won't love this restaurant, but our server was truly mediocre and the food we ordered was merely good. My spouse thought the decor was stiff, and while it the interior was certainly high-quality, it lacked visual warmth.
Be the first to ReplyI came here for my husband's birthday.
Service was pretty bad for a luxurious place like this. Food was okay, there really was nothing special. I did expect more since there were good reviews, but other smaller restaurants in Venice was much better food and service wise. I don't recommend this place for a special occasion.
Be the first to ReplyWe stayed at the hotel from 27-29 April.
We had complimentary welcome drinks (on day 2 instead of day 1) in the bar at 6.30pm. We allowed these from 6 to 7pm. The bar was empty, but it was a lovely place to sit and relax. Our view was of the canal and gondolas passing by. The barman was friendly. We were served prosecco and some bar snacks. On certain days, I think Monday's, Thursday's and another day they have entertainment in the form of a pianist. Luckily it was Thursday so at 7pm we had the company of a talented Italian pianist. He played some classic songs I knew and some other Italian songs. By this time there were a few more guests seated in the bar. It was not considered peak time for a lot of visitors in Venice. The batman said in a few more weeks time, the hotel would be busier. When we walked past the bar after dinner, we heard the pianist singing whilst he played, but we were too tired to sit and enjoy. On our last day, we waited in the hotel lobby for a while before leaving. We had been out the whole day walking and ran out of water. We went to the bar and asked for tap water, which he was happy to serve with ice, which was 'just the ticket' and we also helped ourselves to the bar snacks which consisted of olives, peanuts and corn kettle.
Be the first to ReplyMy mom and I had dinner here to celebrate my birthday.
Food was of excellent quality and service was mostly good. The selection of house made breads was delicious. We ordered the following: appetizer of "Pumpkin pie with mountain cheese fondue and fried sage", pasta courses of "Lemon-scented linguine with prawns and zucchini flowers" and "Homemade ravioli stuffed with duck and ricotta cheese, chestnut sauce and black truffle", main course of "Pistachio-crusted turbot fillet with cauliflower cream and sauteed baby spinach", and a tiramisu for dessert. All of the dishes were fantastic with the exception of the tiramisu, which came served in a martini class and was mostly whipped cream. Even so, this place would rate 5 stars if not for the service aspect. Our waiter copped an attitude and acted snooty when we indicated we would be sharing our appetizer and main course. He reluctantly brought a plate so that we could do so. I'm just saying we are 2 women, we can only eat so much, and we wanted to sample as mush as we could from the menu. Prices were high but in accordance with the quality and presentation of the meal. Definitely worth a stop on your trip to Venice!

My partner had booked a table in this restaurant for my 70th birthday treat, and what a treat it turned out to be. I had read up on websites about this restaurant and decided it needed a suit and tie because it was CLASS. Having just about got into my suit after Italian dining of the previous nights, that was an enormous task, we wandered through the streets of Venice to arrive at the hotel in which the restaurant resided. Deciding to have a drink before dinner we entered the bar to be greeted by the barman. Ordering a martini and a caiprinha it arrived a few minutes later with small nibbles of smoked salmon and cream cheese. Perfect. The bar bill needs to be paid as the bar is not part of the restaurant. but with the hotel. No problem.Entering the restaurant we were shown to a table by the windows overlooking the canal with gondolas passing by frequently. The menu is easy to read with a selection which is 'small' but adequate. This is necessary because of the quality of the food. No way could you reach the high quality with a larger menu. The food was exquisite, but I do wonder how Italians can get through four courses, we only managed two. The wine list is extensive and the prices vary from reasonable to expensive. It oozed, as I have said, Class. Service was professional but unintrusive. It seemed as if those guys were in your head and read what you needed. Loved the place. Finally, thank you all for making my 70th Birthday something really special.
