Love coming here for date night - we had a short wait for our table & were approached multiple times by the hosts to keep us updated, even poured us a glass of wine while we waited. And as we sat, they gave us a small app on the house. Great service, great food, great spot!

Anjelica's in Sea Bright is a truly elite Italian dining destination, renowned for its impeccable cuisine and upscale ambiance. Nestled in the heart of Sea Bright, this fantastic spot exudes elegance and charm, offering an unforgettable culinary experience for discerning diners.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is excellent.
The service was good and the price of the food is out of control. VERY EXPENSIVE. It was very loud and the restaurant has too many tables therefore it was uncomfortable and very hard to move out of your chair without touching or bumping into another table. It is a place to go to once I would not go there again because it is not worth the money they charge for Veal parmigiana $70.00 a plate!

Absolutely phenomenal! I had the pleasure to experience this restaurant twice in one month! Both dinner timeframes and both were great, the lamb chop appetizer was delicious and well prepared, I had a lobster pasta and my date enjoyed a fish offering on the 2nd visit, As mentioned both visits were great! We sat outside our first visit and inside the second. My personal preference is outside! The ambiance and warmth from the lamps made for a more intimate atmosphere compared to the close tables inside. Can't wait to visit again!
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance in this place is incredible.
The restaurant is gorgeous and packed with local people. The service by Billy was excellent and accommodating. His recommendations were spot on. I have been to outstanding restaurants in our beautiful country. This one is my top 5. The food is so fresh and thoroughly flavorful and balanced. Well done and dine.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing service and great food, definitely worth the drive.
The music was great and the waiters were so attentive. Bathrooms really clean and smelled so good.

It took divine intervention from local gentry Lou Raffetto, but Tina and I finally got to Anjelica's in Sea Bright.. Lives up to the hype with ethereal food and impeccable service.
Be the first to ReplyOK, I'm not getting it.
.. Not getting all of these spectacular reviews and why it's virtually impossible to get a reservation at this place? Honestly I was expecting the best dining experience ever. The place is cramped, the menu is sparse and the food is good, but certainly not the best I've ever had in the area. I paid $60 for a dish of pasta with vodka sauce with a few pieces of hard lobster meat in it. My veal chop was burnt and my wife's Salmon special was literally a 3" square if overcooked fish. Nothing special here especially considering the price tag. Sorry that's my opinion.
Be the first to ReplySince my last review I've returned three times.
I really consider this the best Italian restaurant in New Jersey. I was able to enjoy veal parm, the spicy vodka, lamb, meatballs, octopus and several other dishes. Everything stood out. I find the meatballs here to be perfection. Nobody comes close. The service is phenomenal every time! We have had date nights and family meals and the food here makes each time special. I can't say how wonderful it is to have such beautiful food so close by. 100/10 always recommended.

Finally secured a reservation well over 30 days in advance, which has been impossible to say the least. Required $25 per person deposit to secure the reservation. Byob so we brought our wine to the door, only to see a hand written note that it was randomly closed for today. No notice, no alerts from open table, no emails. Several other couples also stood outside in disbelief, dressed up with their wine bags, all pissed off that they now have to find an alternative last minute. This also substantially changed our plans for the night, and was also unable to cancel the open table reservation due to the Apple Pay requirement, making us unable to choose another restaurant. Poor form.

Went at 4pm on a Saturday because that's the only time I could get a reservation. Originally had a table for 4 but other couple couldn't make it. The tables for 2 were cramped and either by the front door, up against a wall near the bathroom or by the kitchen door. To start my husband had the soup special of roasted fennel and potato; it was light and delicious. I had the baked oyster special which was tasty but oysters were tiny and not worth $24 for 6. We then shared a very disappointing chopped salad. It tasted good but was chopped so fine it was the consistency of a relish; definitely not worth $22! We split the limencello pasta with toasted breadcrumbs. It was bright and creamy and perfectly al dente but pricey at $34. Dinner was the halibut special; delicious and chicken saltimboca; good but not amazing. For dessert we had tiramisu; pretty good but not nearly as good as my grandmas, and pistachio olive oil cake; delicious! Cappuccino could've been hotter. I'll try again but in the warmer months so I could sit outside. Overall there are some menu items that are worth the price and others (salad) that definitely are not. The restaurant is byob which saves a little, but our meal for 2 with a 20% tip was $280! Next time I'll have to try the pork chop with broccoli rabe because it looked amazing! Also, this is not the place to bring babies and toddlers! Some people did and it was kind of annoying to hear a baby screaming in addition to the sound of her iPad.

I have been here for dinner once and while I thought the food was very good and service was attentive, we felt rushed. We felt as though they had back to back to back reservations and we were holding them up from seating another party. However this is not why I am giving 1 star. The 1 star is due to their lack of common decency regarding an inquiry for a private event. I filled out their online form inquiring about a private event for about 50 people. After a week's time I had still not received a response. My fiancé then filled out the form, again requesting information about hosting a private party for about 50 people. After 4 days, we again did not receive a response. So I decided to call and inquire. The man I spoke with told me that they don't do "private" events for 50 people. When I asked for clarification he said that the event would have to be held while the restaurant was open to other guests. Confused, I asked again if there was no possible way to host a private event at their restaurant. To which he replied that unless I wanted to cover the costs of the business they would lose by hosting my private party, then no, and in his words "it would be very expensive." So it is now very clear to me that our online requests were intentionally ignored because they had no interest in hosting a 50 person event. The fact that no one could even respond to inform us that they could not accommodate a private party of that size is incredibly rude. And the response I received on the phone about "covering the cost of the business they would lose," was enough to make me never return. Horrible customer service.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed.
Not worth the wait. The last time I was here they were extremely accommodating. I try to eat a whole foods plant based diet for health reasons. Last time, even though they didn't have it on the menu, they made for me a gorgeous thin breaded eggplant with marinara sauce and pasta. It was amazing and I was sooooo looking forward to having it again. But alas they said they didn't have it anymore and don't even have a marinara sauce at all if I wanted to simply have pasta with marinara. They offered a pasta with veggies and olive oil. But thid did not sound too exciting to me so I passed on it. I will say though that the potatoe soup appetizer which was vegan was very good. Service was also good. But it's tough when you look forward to something that you loved so much and they no longer have it. I will occasionally have shrimp even though it's not good for me when I'm out and their are few options. So I ordered the shrimp with sauce. But unfortunately I wasn't a big fan of it. My husband who is not vegan loved the meatball appetizers but said his veal was tougher and chewier than previously. We were here to celebrate my birthday but didn't ask for the staff to sing. But it seemed like everyone else tonight that had a birthday did. We counted 6 times that the staff all sang loudly happy birthday to others in the small restaurant. It was like being at a smaller Chili's. Bring your ear plugs if the loud singing bothers you.

I had one of the fish specials which was very fresh. The staff is also very attentive without being too in your face. Looking forward to going back again.

Food and service was very good. Small place recommend reservations
Be the first to ReplyAll I can say is it was worth the wait.
I had to wake up early 60 days out to get a reservation for 6:30 on a Friday night in March. We walked in, were greeted promptly and the host even hung up my coat for me. Our server, his name is escaping me, was outstanding. All the specials were memorized and he was hustling as everyone was being seated at the same time. The bread they served was great and had a great crispiness to it. We started with the Cacio e Pepe for an appetizer. They split it into 2 bowls and I thought it was really good. I got the double cut pork chop which I had heard great things about and it did not disappoint. If you want it you need to order it right away as it literally takes almost an hour to prepare. It is MASSIVE and comes with broccoli rabe. My wife got the chicken scallopini which came with garlic mashed potatoes. The chicken was pounded so thin and it was delicious. We finished with the Ricotta Cheesecake. I admittedly have never liked cheesecake... never. I ordered it for my wife but found myself eating more than half. She likened it to a cross between cheesecake and flan and I got more of an angel food texture out of it. It was legitimately my favorite part of the meal. It's pricey but BYOB so it saves a few bucks but you're there to splurge a bit. The restaurant was filled with regulars and you can tell it's a bit of an "exclusive" place but it did not have the pretentious vibes that you might expect. Sure there are some wealthy people in there but we were not treated any differently than the regulars. We felt right at home. We hope to come back with some friends in the future. It would probably be nice to sit outside in the summertime. My one gripe - our table location. It was a 2 seater right by the kitchen and staff did not stop coming by at all. Our waiter could not even stand next to us to take our order as there wasn't enough room for other staff to get by. It was very busy so I get it, but I would request a table towards the other side next time. It didn't detract much from our overall experience though.

If there is a textbook definition of a perfect BYOB Italian restaurant, Anjelica's embodies that. The food is amazing. We had the fennel salad (with apple and arugula) to start, then shared the orecchiette with spicy vodka sauce and the cannelloni special (stuffed with ricotta, chard, and fried shallots; in a bechamel sauce with a light pomodoro sauce on top). The cannelloni was the star of the show - it came out piping hot, but we couldn't stop taking bites long enough to let it cool off anyway; it was that good. The salad was so refreshing and a creative spin on what has become a trend to offer arugula salads everywhere. The orecchiette was good, but in direct comparison to the cannelloni, it was definitely in second place for the entrees. But the food overall was so good, that we ordered another entree (a meyer lemon sauce pasta with toasted bread crumbs) to take home. Don't judge! Our reservation was at 2pm, and we were bound to get hungry again that night! The service was impeccable. They were attentive, kept the table tidy for us at all times (sharing plates on a 2-top requires some strategy), and were cheerful at all times. It's hard to say that any restaurant is perfect, but Anjelica's is probably as close as it gets.
