The Top!
Lovely setting, the rooms are simple but very pleasant with their terraces and above all exceptional staff! Whether at the reception, the restaurant or at the beach, everyone bends over backwards to satisfy you and is also incredibly kind. Congratulations to the whole team !

Me and my husband stay in the Ance Marcel Beach Resort another 10 nights and it was amazing! Well managed property, attentive and professional staff ( special thanks to Stephane and Nadia !), clean rooms( everyday cleaning ), outstanding restaurants, delicious breakfast, free private gated parking ,great service at the beach- what else can you dream of during the vacation? It’s our 3rd stay there during last 13 months and we’re not been disappointed . Every little details has been taken care by management , Stephane always available and on top of every question. Thank you! Highly recommend it!

We had the most wonderful holiday at Anse Marcel Beach Resort and can not wait to go back. First of all, the resort is situated on a gorgeous beach with very comfortable chairs and umbrellas for guests and delicious tropical drinks brought right to you. (Get the ginger blast with fresh ginger and passion fruit)! The staff are all friendly, and Stephan and Clemence are so welcoming and helpful with everything--it was like the having the best hosts! We returned every day to a sparkling clean room as well and we adored our patio with ocean view. It was handy to have a fridge and nearby (5 min on foot) small market for snacks and drinks. Breakfast buffet at the resort was lovely and the resort's restaurant overlooking the beach as well, is delicious and one of our best meals--and there are lots of great restaurants on ST Martin, especially in nearby Grand Cas. Overall, we loved the way we felt pampered yet the ambiance was not fussy or crowded--casual elegance in paradise is how I would describe it. We can not wait to come back!
Be the first to ReplyQuiet, restful, beautiful beach - A lovely spot!
I have been to many spots in the Caribbean in search of a quiet pretty beach, with reliably good swimming, comfy beach chairs, and a hotel that is understated, small, and affords beautiful ocean views, and it feels like we found it at the Domaine Anse Marcel — at least enough that we have booked a return visit for next year. Visitors should note that rooms very greatly in size and furnishings; that some of the units around the property are privately owned, and that work is still underway repairing the damage from Hurricane Irma, several years back — it will take some time for the larger trees to grow back. But really, that made little difference. The sandy beach, nestled in a protected cove with only one other low-rise hotel, is peaceful and beautiful. The beach chairs and umbrellas are easily accessed and you don’t have to be up at 7 in the morning to get them - they are reserved for hotel guests. The elegant seaside lunch restaurant set up above the beach with its cool breezes, serves some of the best food around - reserve early. Breakfast, at a less formal outdoor venue, was perhaps one of our only disappointments, though with a full kitchen in our suite, we were happy to eat lighter meals in the morning and often at lunch. Dinner is not available at the hotel (hopefully this will change), but our nightly adventures in our rental car to the nearby town of Grand Case served up some great meals. This is NOT a party hotel. Music is not blasting and activities are not planned. The kind, mostly French staff, simply sets things up o be comfortable, helps when needed, and then just fades into the background, while you bask in the sun and loll in the sea.

My favorite beach on the island. Calm, quiet and classy. Turtles if you look closely. Great service. Snacks and lunch are perfect. Great for couples. Highly recommend. Adult beach with fantastic views. Has a beautiful boutique with models .
Be the first to ReplyA relaxing option in a beautiful setting
This is a very nice hotel that, although not cheap, is reasonably priced compared to its all-inclusive neighbour, Secrets. We especially appreciated the beachfront restaurant with its upscale French-inspired lunch menu and great service. There also several dining options in the evening a short walk away at the marina. The sea is very calm and safe, another plus.

A curious place where the accommodations do not match the service and quality of the excellent restaurant. The grounds and attention to detail regarding the accommodations seem to have deteriorated over the years. They no longer rake up the seaweed on the beach, for example, and the rooms aren’t very well equipped. Doors don’t quite shut properly, appliances need to be updated, everything a bit rundown. A rundown courtyard outside of the rooms. Several rooms boarded up or short-term rentals that aren’t well maintained and are a bit of an eyesore. This place could be five star, but they don’t seem to want to invest in the accommodations. or have decided they aren’t a priority. It’s a shame because the location is amazing and the restaurant, only open for lunch, is top-notch.

Fabulous day at Anse Marcel's beach! Great lunch, wonderful service. Loved their lobster ravioli! Beach was lovely, water calm. They supplied noodles so we floated all afternoon! Beach boys were very attentive. First time we had been here in 20 years and will definitely go again! Great menu too!

Be the first to ReplyThe Best of the French Side
First time back to St Martin since Irma. Was fortunate Le Domaine has rebuilt and we were able to stay in the same apartment as 2016 and 2017. Staff is fantastic, taking care of every need. Beach Club restaurant is as great as ever. Beach and service people were wonderful as always. There is simply no other place to be on St Martin if you want clean water, sandy beach, comfortable chairs, great food/drinks and service. And the fact that food is available for breakfast through dinner is a new plus. (....Although we dine every evening in Grand Case.)
Be the first to ReplyTerrific in every way
We spent a long time researching what part of St Martin was going to suit us for a 3 day pre cruise stay. The research was complicated by the uncertain continuing impacts remained of COVID financial impact and the 2017 hurricane which had decimated so much of the island. We finally settled on this resort and were soon in an email dialogue with Stephane and team who could not have been more helpful, reassuring and keen to help in any way. Upon arrival Stephane met us as our minivan (he had arranged) pulled in and personallysorted us out, showed us to our group's 3 rooms, then took us to the bar and introduced us to the staff. We felt immediately at home, very happy with the quality of the rooms and very happy with the feel of the area. This is a small and relatively inaccessible bay with just a handful of properties, a small marina and a small recently completed shopping complex. Everything is within walking distance and everything is very high quality. The beach itself is fantastic - safe swimming, golden sand, loungers and shades (free to guests) and extremely hospitable and caring staff who check on your needs regularly and bring drinks, snacks etc. The source of said drinks and snacks is a terrific beachside restaurant that serves a great continental breakfast and then a very seriousFrench lunch menu. Next door is another restaurant that was due to open within days of our departure and which would be serviing dinner in the evening. Finally, and what made us so very pleased with our stay, was the quality, cheerfulness, willingness of all the staff we interacted with. They were truly amazing - does the recruiment / training is doing a great job. If you're looking for a sophisticated, tranquil, beautiful spot for your stay on St Martin - look no further.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service with quality French food for lunch on the beach
Fanny seated us promptly despite no reservation. From row corner from beach. Bottle of champagne and their tuna carpaccio spread on toast bites was a great start. We ordered the grilled lobster and linguine that we split for lunch. Excellent choice linguine was home made with tomatoes, olives, and pimentos. Asked and got a couple of fresh bread slices to sop up the extra sauce. Finished out champagne while looking out the quaint, off the beaten path in Anse Marcel. They are only open for lunch these days but do not miss out. Keep your eyes open for the little signs directing back to the restaurant parking in back of beachside resort

I have found paradise! A unique place that we will be sad to leave. The service from Jimmy and the boys and girls on the beach was second to none. Nothing to much trouble, everything done to make you as comfy as possible The restaurant food, ambience and staff were first class. Very friendly and always smiling! The food! Oh my God the food!!! Everything fresh, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Thank you, thank you ,thank you! You were all awesome.

The staff were all warm, smiling and professional in everyway. Cudo's to the General Manager who has assembled and directed a lovely staff that attended to our every need. The room was perfect in it's simplicity combined with cleanliness and thoughtful attention to everything a vacationing individual might need during their stay, as exemplified by their kitchenette which had everything one might need to create a meal. The beach and the sea were WONDERFUL! Serene, clean, and the sea was a dream to swim and lounge in, feeling safe and protected. Can't wait to return next year and hope that my favored friends will join us.
Be the first to ReplyResort and front desk people are great but
We just returned from a stay at this resort. Overall, the place is great and the people working there. The problem is with the restaurant. They have a monopoly as they are the only place you can eat. The food and the people working are very nice. But, the prices are very high for my taste. It seems like they are only after your money, as they can charge whatever they want. Until they have a competition, i will not return here. Sadly they don't really care for return customers it seems as there are plenty of suckers willing to pay.
Be the first to ReplyPleasant and quiet, but reserve beach chairs in advance of your stay
Actually more like 4.5 stars. Super friendly reception and restaurant. Beach is somewhat small but beautiful. Food choices are limited but high quality and tasty. The drinks we had were sweet but when we asked for less sugar for our next round, then the drinks were perfect. Property is still being renovated after last hurricane, but on the upside, our room was brand new and very nice for the price. The bed was VERY firm - like an ironing board. The location is a little isolated- you have to go over a steep (slightly scary) mountain road to get there, but for us that was a good thing - the area was very quiet. Even Secrets next door was quiet and low key. The one slight annoyance was having to make reservations for everything - beach chair, lunch, dinner, etc. We were told that we couldn’t have a front row beach chair because others had reserved a week in advance, but there were empty chairs in front of us. I also wonder what the resort will do once the rooms are all renovated and they are booked to capacity- the beach area is limited since it’s in a cove so I think some guests may be out of luck for beach chairs. I like my vacations to be a little less planned. The hotel recommended taking a taxi to have dinner at a restaurant called The Cottage and it was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Over all, our stay was a pleasant experience and I would consider coming back.
Be the first to Replyfavorite beach but....
I live in St. Maarten and this is our favorite beach. We spent New Year's day here and the restaurant was jammed so we ordered beach food. Maybe this was our mistake because it was not good: a limp, soggy "quesadilla/pizza" and a shrimp fruit bowl with 5 smallish mealy shrimp. And expensive! I'll chalk it up to the holiday and the beach and will give it another chance since we love the beach, but it may have to be a beach & cocktails destination.
Be the first to ReplyWorld-class restaurant/beach club, accommodations need work
We were so blown away by the restaurant and beach club aspect of the resort that we decided to extend our stay in Sint Maarten/St. Martin and book a week here.
The restaurants and beach club are amazing, but the accommodations aren't five star. I preface this by understanding the hurricane almost wiped this place out and then COVID hit, but there is still a fair bit of visible damage from the hurricane and several rooms are still boarded up. Our ground-level room needed a paint job and tile repairs, including our front terrace -- the tile really needed to be cleaned, the walls repainted.
The room was nice and bright and colourful, but it also needed a paint job and some tile repairs. And for a French resort, we were surprised there was no coffee maker — only a kettle and instant coffee.
The grounds and courtyard outside the rooms really need some landscaping and some deep cleaning/repainting due to the water damage still visible from the hurricane.
In short, the rooms were overpriced for the quality of the accommodations and the grounds. This place could be utterly spectacular if some investments were made in repairing/repainting and sprucing up the existing rooms and the grounds, which seems to be ongoing. While we were there it seemed as if either a gym or spa was being constructed (right now, the resort lacks either). If the attention to detail that's been applied to the restaurants and beach club extended to the rooms and the giant courtyard -- maybe even a second pool in that space would be a good idea -- we would definitely return some day. This place is just a few repairs away from being a world-class hotel.
Fabulous lunch and lounging
Drove to Anse Marcel to spend a day on the beach and enjoy some lunch, and so glad we did! Beautiful spot in the bay, felt more natural and private than some of the bigger beaches. Maybe because it's tougher to get there. Very glad we had lunch in the restaurant - food of the highest quality and imagination! Not cheap but worth every penny. Best to book for lunch if you are not staying at the resort, especially on weekends.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic beach... Wonderful restaurant
This is one of my favorite beaches on St. Maarten --- one of the best sandy stretches on the island. Exceptional views and calm waters. The restaurant is a must --- great service, good prices, delish food.
