Rehearsal dinner
We had my son's rehearsal dinner at Aroma two weeks ago. Alex was very easy to work with as we planned the menu. Our large party filled the upstairs private room which worked really well for us. The waitresses were attentive and so pleasant. But the best part was the amazing food. It was truly outstanding from the apps to the desserts. I wish we lived closer so we could have dinner there regularly.

22 of us for family style dinner- plenty of food with good wine a great service. Thank you Alex and Selma (and co) for the memorable dinner!
Be the first to ReplyDon't bother.
Staff with attitude, not a positive one. Food mediocre, Had the veal special, mostly breading. Way overpriced. Had a fine reputation years ago, before present management arrived to dismantle it.

My adult daughter and I enjoyed a great dinner at aroma osteria last Saturday. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and served in a professional yet friendly manner
Be the first to ReplyFabulous Birthday Party
We celebrated an important birthday ( I will not disclose the number- lol) here on a Wednesday night. We were very pleased with everything. We were 14 adults & 2 kids so we ordered (pre arranged) from the Family Style Menu. We upgraded one of the anti pasto choices- ordered 3 instead of 2. Then we had 2 pasta dishes, salad, bread and 2 Main Courses with roasted potatoes and string beans. The’Dolci’ Dessert was delicious. We were full and satisfied. The Manager Alex- took very good care if us. We were in the private Naples Room. I rate this place 5 stars. The Chef does a great job. This is the perfect place for a special party. I felt like I was in Italy in a Tuscan Villa. Bravo!!
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I haven’t been
My wife and I haven’t been to an indoors restaurant for months and decided to take a flyer at Aroma. We made a reservation for 4 PM last Sunday afternoon to avoid any crowds and found ourselves far away from anyone else at a very nice corner table. All the staff were masked and very careful and we feel pretty comfortable. We’ve driven up from New Jersey five or six times in the last few years to go to this restaurant which we think is just outstanding in the quality of their food. My wife is Italian and we’ve been to Italy 7 or 8 times, so we know good Italian food when we get it.

Our five family members enjoyed an excellent dinner on their lovely terrace today. Appetizers, pasta dishes and desserts were enjoyed by all. Wines by the glass were fine.
A chilly day, but we were offered a heater and stayed comfortable. Service was appropriate and well timed.
Gigantic Disappointment
Four of us went there for dinner expecting the excellent meal we got before the pandemic. The menu was extremely limited and the food was just okay until dessert. All 4 of us ordered the Profiteroles (cream puffs filled with ice cream instead of a pastry cream) and the cream puffs themselves were all stale. We had just gotten them and started to eat them when the maitre d came over and asked how everything was. We said the dinner was good (being very generous in that response) but all of our cream puffs were stale. He then walked away without commenting. We all were stunned and didn’t expect a lack of response. It would’ve been nice if he had a conversation with us or at the very least apologized. IF YOU ARE GOING TO ASK ABOUT THE FOOD, THEN YOU NEED TO REPLY WHEN THERES A PROBLEM. We found the food over priced and we were definitely underwhelmed.

Last night we decided to treat ourselves to dinner here as part of our ‘staycation’. We had dined here once years ago when visiting family and remembered it fondly. We buy Gift Certificates for the family as they enjoy Aroma so much. We now live in the area and came for dinner. We are so glad we did!! All Covid 19 Protocols are in place- masks, tables apart from each other- social distancing while waiting to be seated. We opted to eat inside. We had our own corner table in a gorgeous room with high ceilings. We had been to Italy last year and this place was like being back in la Bella Italia. The manager Alex is quite pleasant and professional. Our server Manual who has worked there for many years was fantastic. He took care of our every need. He is an asset to Aroma. Now the food- wow!! As the title says, so delicious. Fresh ingredients with tastes that are superb!! The PEI mussels were great as were the Pasta dishes we ordered. Nice Pinot Grigio Italian wine with dinner and Gelato for dessert. I will end my review by saying if you want to treat yourself to an excellent dining experience, this is your place. A real jewel in the Mid Hudson Valley. Bravo
Be the first to ReplyTerrible dinner!
Pre-covid we frequently went to Aroma, fast forward to a night out and we were very disappointed!! The service and high quality food which once made us want to go to Aroma over the local Italian restaurants or chain restaurants is gone. Caesar salad was bland and peas in the rice balls were still frozen, seafood pasta was almost like a jarred sauce with (2) small bagged shrimp and not much taste. Husband had chicken parm and asked to have ala vodka sauce on his pasta; this was not to be accommodated. Save your money and get Italian to-go. Unfortunately I can’t see Aroma staying in business much longer if they’re not going to give you the exceptional experience they once did.
Be the first to ReplyWhen You Can't Go To Italy
If you want to eat at the finest Italian restaurant in these parts, Aroma Osteria is the place to go. When I am eating on the terrace I forget about RT. 9 and see myself back in Italy.
This is fine dining so the price is not inexpensive, but the food, service and ambiance are well worth it
Tornerò ( I'll be back :) )
After not being there for awhile
I opted to go to dinner at Aroma after not being there for quite awhile. The menu had only gotten better and the service was excellent. The host has always been attentive and this evening was no different. My dinner partner was impressed. I thoroughly enjoyed the food - it was even better than past dinners had been. I will definitely go back very soon and recommend to my friends who enjoy excellent food and fine service.
Be the first to ReplySome Items Priced as if a 5 Star Restaurant, It's Not.
Had a glass of wine and a cocktail at the bar while waiting for friends, $32 including tip. They sat us next to a room that had a party going on, we had to ask to move so we could hear each other, which they did. Food was great, no complaints. Bottle of wine $49, wine at bar was better. Coffee, which I couldn't drink since I don't like strong coffee, told waiter, but still got charged for it, $3 a cup. So I guess the message here, is food and atmosphere is good, they sure rack it up on the beverages though. Nothing special though, I doubt we will go back ourselves.
Be the first to ReplyVery good place a little on the expensive side.
Good food, nice ambiance, and the quality was good just a little pricey for the quality. Still recommend this restaurant.
