😍 5/5 - I did not have ressies so I went when it opened and seating

I did not have ressies so I went when it opened and seating was not a problem. I was, however, seated in the outdoor patio area, which was not a problem for me but perhaps it may be a problem for the reader. So, if you want to be sat inside, definitely make ressies. The outdoor patio is heated and was comfortable to me who easily gets cold. The meal was started off with complimentary warm sourdough bread. I me my carbs, so I was a happy girl. Couldn't overdo it though because next came the oysters. If you like oysters, get yourself some. For my meal I had the wagyu filet with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. The steak was to have been cooked medium but it came out well done. Other patrons have had the same issue based on reviews. No biggie, I had it sent back and a new one was cooked for me just how I like it - you have to see the red/pink juices coming out or else you're getting a well done steak. Second steak passed the test. So I had to wait a bit longer to stuff my face but it wasn't a big deal. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cook properly. As for the sides, the mashed potatoes were on point and not too garlicky. Perfection. The mushrooms were fine, but nothing to merit more than a passing mention. If you like soufflés, this is a must try. It's quite a big soufflé in my opinion but a definite way to end your meal. Due to the steak mishap, my dessert was comped. So, if you want a decent steak in Pasadena's version of an upscale restaurant because you were too lazy to drive yourself to Cut on the Westside, this place is worth checking out to get your Pooh (reference to Winnie The Pooh) on. Pro-tip: The restaurant has valet parking but locals know you can easily find parking in the residential side streets.
