My wife had a great filet and I had a great prime rib. The French onion soup was also very good. Our server Carla did an exceptional job waiting on us.

Our server Matt was excellent! As always, I enjoyed the prime rib - fabulous. My husband loved the pork chop. Even the baked potato was delicious!
Top Steakhouse In Clearwater
Bascom's is an upscale, white-tablecloth steakhouse on the Clearwater side of Tampa Bay. You pay top dollar, but you get your money's worth in food, drink and service. The steaks are top-notch (cooked as ordered, something sadly rare in this area), but also the complements: salads, bread, desserts. The wine list is extensive, with a quite wide range of prices. We found an excellent carigñan for $60. Our server was experienced, knowlegeable and pleasant. We've tried many steak restaurants in Pinellas County. Bascom's is the best so far.

Our party of 3 ordered Lobster Bisque, Prime Rib Au Jus, and the Salmon. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend! But come with your fat wallet!
Once a year we c.ome to Tampa and always go to Bascom's
Wonderful dinner. Our server Yvonne was fantastic. Husband had the ribeye, I had the grouper oscar. Both incredible. Service impeccable.
Great food at a local spot
The area of town was a little sketchy but seems to be coming back around so I was a little worried, but this place is worth the trip. The cocktails were innovative and the food was spectacular. The service was very good with hospitality and recommendations. Although it’s a steakhouse we ordered fish to eat a little lighter. We had the sea bass and an off menu item of Blackened Oscar Grouper. Both were great and finished the meal with key lime pie. We will definitely be back.
Nice, upscale steakhouse
Most definitely, “elegant”. Very nice, upscale steakhouse. Our steaks were seasoned and cooked well. I had the filet, my friend, the prime rib. Having to pay extra for all sides didn’t sit well with me. $49 & $36 for a piece of meat on a plate with nothing by onion straws? It seems like a small dollop of mashed potatoes, rice, or a few pieces of broccoli would be an easy add. The bread was appreciated but it would be better if warm. There are a lot of wine options. I opted for a nice cab; he got a beer. The baked lobster and cheese appetizer was tasty but had very little lobster to be honest. 6 very small pieces in an escargot vessel smothered in cheese. We were seated right away even without reservations. It was quite early. Our waitress was very professional and nice.

Amazing place
EVERYTHING! The atmosphere, the SERVICE. The food . I have so many allergies that they took care of everything! We live in Southwest Florida and can’t wait to come back.
Started bad, got better
Honestly, it didn’t start off very well. Drinks were fine, Oysters were very good. However, when it came to the fillet mignon is where it turned. My wife ordered hers well done. It came out at best medium mostly medium rare. She was going to eat it but I know she wasn’t going to be happy, so when the server came by, I mentioned it and he took it back, however, while waiting for the server, she started eating the mushrooms that were on top of it and the potatoes that came with it. He took it all back. Including the silverware. When the steak came back 10 minutes later, there were no potatoes, no mushrooms and we had none on the table. Oh and no knife. I gave her mine. A few minutes later potatoes came but no mushrooms. So she started eating. We mentioned the mushrooms didn’t come back and there were none on the table. At that point I was fed up and asked for the manager. He came back 10 minutes or so later with mushrooms however, my wife had already completed her steak. So we spoke of the experience, and he was terrific about it. He admitted the server should have done better, and he took care of our dessert. I’m never looking for a free meal. Just make it right. if it wasn’t for the manager, it would’ve got a two star. When the food was right, it was great.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
