Visited this restaurant fir a special occasion. Ordered lobster linguini, Australian strip ribeye, truffle chips and mushrooms. NB. Garlic was not mentioned anywhere on the menu for the items mentioned. As soon as the food arrived we could smell strong garlic. Everything had a huge amount of garlic taste. We mentioned this to the waiter and they changed our chips to 'plain chips. These eventually arrived after we had finished our meal, yet still tasted of garlic. We waited 40 minutes for a waiter to visit our table with our dirty plates sitting there, at this point they asked if we would like another drink, I asked if they were going to clear the table and ask if our meal was OK? To which they asked and I told them and showed them the huge peices of garlic amongst the food to which they said yes we use garlic, I explained that a touch of garlic was OK but this 50 x too much. 25% of my steak was inedible gristle. After my complaint, they brought me the bill of everything ordered +20% sc. I said that we had obviously not been happy with the food and asked that they removed the service charge, they said no, then eventually said they would take off the chips and 10%. The bill was still way too much due the incompetence of the chef, so I'll put it down to experience and write my review. Pic is 25% of the (gristle) steak.
