Bocca di Lupo, Soho, London
This cool but very popular restaurant in Soho near Piccadilly Circus is a dream if you love a variety of small and utterly delicious plates. I ate with a friend at the bar overlooking where the chefs prepare their wonderful treats. Everything that we ate was perfect and it was obvious that only the best ingredients were being used. The service from our waiter Edward was superb and he seemed pleased that we were having such a great time. We even begged a recipe from Rado one of the chefs for the capponata we were enjoying and he so very kindly and willingly handed it over. Every single we ate was a delight. We will be back!
Be the first to ReplyAuthentic, unpretentious and delicious
We sampled several small plates, each one of which was outstanding. Rave reviews for the capinata, the carpaccio and the ricotta ice cream with fraises des bois. Service from Edward was attentive, friendly but not intrusive. We can’t wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot for two at the counter....... delicious.
What a great restaurant. My wife and I ate at the bar and got to watch all the cooking. Very interesting. The app, pasta, chicken and lamb sausage was delightful. And the wine and atmosphere put a bow on the box.

Another great evening at Bocca di Lupo. Great menu, friendly and efficient staff. Fantastic atmosphere, if you enjoy a noisy and busy restaurant, we do. It was very sweet that they remembered it was my birthday. Highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding experience
We booked for a late dinner on Thursday and we were amazed for the overall experience. Very cozy and Friendly ambience , the waiting staff was very attentive and charming . We had a selection of everything on the menu , we thought we order too much but at the end we couldn’t stop eating lol . Top notch for Amberjack carpaccio , Spaghetti Spider crab and Lamb with egg yolk and Pecorino . Wine selection amazing too and thanks to the sommelier which it suggested a perfect match for what we order . Well thanks Bocca di lupo and see you soon !!!

The Bocca di Lupo was recommended to me by a well known restaurant critic - and how right he was. A small and very busy place in the heart of Soho - I expected to be disappointed but ended up being very pleased with the whole experience. You can choose between a table in the small dining room or otherwise eating at the bar watching the cooking - I did the right thing and chose the former. Service was excellent - professional but casual and friendly. There is a 22 £ lunch menu served until 1800 or a la carte - all the dishes I saw looked great . I took the fixed lunch and enjoyed it very much - starter + risotto, ice cream and coffee - great value. Good choice of wines too. Overall a great place and will go back - recommended.
Be the first to ReplyAuthentic Italian Dining in the Heart of Piccadilly
An absolute gem in the heart of London! Dining at Bocca di Lupo in Piccadilly felt like a taste of home. The atmosphere was cozy yet lively, and the service was top-notch. If you're craving authentic Italian cuisine and a welcoming ambiance while in Piccadilly, this is the place to be!

The food here was excellent. Everything we chose was well cooked and very tasty. There are lunch and pre theatre set menus but we opted for the a la carte. There were too many good things to mention them all but we particularly liked the olives stuffed with minced pork and veal and the courgette flower stuffed with mozzarella and anchovy. We opted to go for a variety of small plates rather than large main courses. The service was good at every level and the extensive wine list wasn't as scary as some I have encountered in London lately! The only reason I havent rated this a 5 is because I would have preferred the tables to be set further apart.
Be the first to ReplyAn amazing Italian food experience
It is like eating across Italy, in Italy - a delightful food experience. Every dish we had was a delight. tasted so full of fresh flavour.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Italian food
The atmosphere, service and food were all fantastic , and very good value . The menu changes according to what ingredients are seasonal, the menu is unusual but explained in a relaxed and accessible way to us by a friendly waiter , and there are loads of staff so the service is excellent. All the dishes we had were excellent , we particularly enjoyed a deep fried seafood dish with blood orange and 2 delicious pasta dishes.

Visited on Sunday. The place was buzzing with happy eaters. Service was fantastic. The food it probably the best Italian I have had in ages. A great way to experience the food is to share plates as we did. Will we go back definitely 10/10.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful Food and Value!
What a cracking place! 1 I could not have been more warmly welcomed. 2 I could not have been better looked after. 3 The food was delicious - especially the apple mostardo. 4 It was wonderful value - £22 for three courses and coffee. 5 I had fun. Thank you!
Be the first to ReplySet menu is a winner
Twelve of us had the downstairs private dining room, enjoying a four course set menu with a great vibe at a very reasonable £62 ph. The food was excellent, the wine was superbly recommended and the service by Sergio was second to none. All in all, a great culinary experience and highly recommend you try this restaurant.

Amazing!! I visited with my mum for a birthday lunch and it was such a lovely time. The food was delicious, all beautifully presented and tasted incredible. The service was also amazing and we sat on the seats next to the kitchen which was lovely to be able to watch the kitchen staff create your food! Would highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyFriendly service, decent food and a nasty surprise at the end.
My family ate at Bocca Di Luppo during the week. It was packed so reserve to get a table. The staff was friendly and engaging. The restaurant is relatively small so expect some noise. The food was good but not great e.g, the spaghetti with brown crab was very fishy, way too much so. I wanted steak but the smallest cut was 750 grams - which seems a little inflexible. Food and service wise this is a solid 4 star but the bill at the end contained a nasty surprise- a 15% service surcharge! This surcharge nonsense has crept into the London scene which is a shame but we don’t see 15% a lot - mostly 10 or 12%. Just for that reason alone, we won’t be back.

What a truly fabulous restaurant. Totally Italian, not pretending to be. Waiter, Marzio, Sommelier, Kieran and front of house Lucy were superb. Friendly & professional. Service was excellent and the food just so very good. Cannot wait to return
Be the first to ReplyAmazing as always
Bocca Di Lupo is always amazing. The counter seats are great fun and the service is always excellent. Risotto is incredible- thanks 🤩

We met Jacob at a wedding and were keen to try his restaurant. We were not disappointed. The food was really excellent. The service was also very good - shout out in particular to Kieran, our sommelier, for his knowledge and sense of humour - and we were made to feel we were valued guests. I especially recommend the tagliata, which was superb, and the rabbit and broad bean salad - the dressing was delicious - but everything we ate - the ragu, the risotto, the braised lamb - even the sage leaves with anchovy and the bread and oil - was perfect. We will definitely be back. It has earned its Michelin star and more. Thank you, Jacob and team, it was fab.
Be the first to ReplyA real hit and miss evening
First sign of trouble was when we asked to move table as the tables either side of us were so close both we and the other people couldn’t move. Then when we ordered 2 of our main courses weren’t available which we were told after the waitress had gone to place the orders. Why didn’t the server know this beforehand? Our meals ranged from poor to very good but you don’t expect that range in the restaurant of this ‘quality’. Not a cheap night out at £300 for 4 either especially with only 3 having starters. We had an average bottle of wine. We last went 10 years ago and it was better. I doubt we’ll be back again.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful atmosphere, expensive small portions but Renata was fantastic
Six of us visited Bocca di Lupo on 3 March to celebrate a birthday. It is a nice bright venue even if the tables are a tad too close. The food? Just okay. Nothing was standout except for the price which was compounded by the fact that the portions are small. For example myself and a friend ordered a large portion of spaghetti and clams each costing £28.00. The portion was far from large and to this day I am convinced it was the starter size but then others in our party ordered large pasta and their size looked small too. Honestly, it barely touched the sides. Those little nuggets of starters start to add up too at £2.50 & £3.50 each. A quaffable bottle of red was £33. We each had desserts; cannolo shell stuffed with ice cold pistachio ice cream? Not the cannolo I'm used to having. The bill was a traumatic £66 per head. I left hungry and went home and devoured a bowl of branflakes. I've eaten way better Italian food in London and paid a lot less. This place is in Central London so its never going to be cheap and I guess will suit the insta crowd because that said, the atmosphere is nice. I wouldn't go again, not at those prices but I certainly wouldn't dissuade anyone from giving it a try. The service was lovely and Renata was a joy and someone who clearly likes her job.
Be the first to ReplyStill a great restaurant so many years later
My first visit to this restaurant was many years ago and it was great. Finally got round to returning and although we were seated at the counter it was a fabulous evening. The food was excellent and so many choices I wanted to try. Good wine list, but just had a simple carafe of wine. Service was really good. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly without being overbearing. I can now see why this place is always booked out. If you get a chance to go, take it. I won't be leaving in 10 years before I go again.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely lacking...
We had a quick dinner here before the theatre. Our wine, served in a carafe, was corked. The bottle was not opened in our presence so I am not sure why it was not checked prior to its arrival at our table. It took a further 10mins for a replacement to arrive by which time we'd waited the best part of 20mins for a drink. At £10 I would argue the small portion, Puntarelle salad was on the pricey side. When it arrived it was absolutely smothered in dressing. This was noted by the waitress at the serving station but the grumpy and disinterested headchef indicated she should serve it anyway. We returned the salad. Apart from this the meal, the service and the food was pleasant but is that enough? At £220 for a 'quick bite to eat' I'd say it should sparkle.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, poor service
Having thoroughly enjoyed my previous visit, I came to celebrate my husband and mine birthdays. From the start service was random, slow and intrusive. Took forever to get asked for our order, there was no interaction outside of taking orders and asking once how things were going. It really felt we were just bums on seats. Food was good, pasta maybe a bit too al dente for my liking, but fritti were light and ingredients top notch. Portions not massive, allow at least 3 dishes per person Paying by QR code meant you cannot dispute the service charge: on this occasiona, it was definitely not worth 15% Also no soap in toilets.. Would go back again as the menu changes regularly and is interesting but would expect much much better service
Be the first to ReplyGreat Italian in Piccadilly
Went here after Moulin Rouge in Piccadilly. Excellent Italian. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Got the special dinner. Superb food.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing Service
I came as part of a party of 6 people for dinner last week. We all enjoyed the food but felt very disappointed that despite arriving 15 minutes early, we were told that they would need the table back after two hours, which feels like a very short amount of time for a table of 6. We had barely finished our main courses when we were told they would want the table back soon, and were not offered a pudding menu or coffee etc. The waitress then proceeded to stand over us as we hurriedly finished our wine and we felt pressured to leave. Really disappointing service and would not go back,
