Consistently delicious.
Service is always excellent. Only caveat is I wish it is was to get a reservation but the exclusivity adds to the allure.

This restaurant has been on my radar to try for a while and I finally snagged a reservation on Resy to try it. Not bad, it lived up to the hype. All dishes had wonderful flavors and textures. Some were better than others. I wasn't a fan of the eggplant appetizer we ordered or the veal shank, but the ribs and pork cheek were good. Portions are meant to be tapas style. I would recommend three to four dishes for two people. We ordered four heavier dishes and it was too much. The restaurant is teeny tiny with about 4-5 tables and small bar, so that is the reason there's a month long wait for a reservation. A bit of a tight and claustrophobic dining experience. Fantastic service and quick water refills. Restaurant is a bit hidden in a strip mall. Look for the exclamation point on the sign (not the name of the restaurant), it's next to a laundromat. This is a good place to try at least once.

This place is a vibe, starting with the food and everything else in between. Will definitely visit if visiting Miami again. Thanks Boia De for a great experien
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant is UNREAL, I had to get another reservation.
It's a Michelin star restaurant and it's worth the hype. Getting a reservation is tough but it's not impossible. Reservations open at 12pm every day so set an alarm and you'll most likely get one. The dishes are all unique and have so much flavor. The beef tartare and tagliolini nero were my favorites. It's pretty small inside and very intimate. The tiramisu is one of the best i've had, I dream about it to this day. I highly recommend!! 1000/10
Be the first to ReplyFinally, I managed to snag a reservation a month out online.
My husband and I arrived here at time of opening on a Friday. Parking was free and readily available in the plaza. We were promptly seated and greeted nicely by our waitress. Decor was cozy and quirky. We ordered 6 dishes, and that left us no room for dessert. My husband had a lovely glass of Saint Gervais wine, and I had a Shirley Temple. The Shirley Temple was too sweet for me. Otherwise, the food was delicious and unique. The flavor combinations for each dish reminded me of food I've had from other places, but with a twist. From my top favorite (I liked them all and would order again) and place it reminded me of: -Baked clams - New Orleans -Beef tartare - Mexico -Tagliolini Nero - Italy but like cold noodles from Korea or Japan dipped in cream/cheese sauce -Lamb ribs fra diavola - American bbq -Pappardelle alla lepre - France/Tuscany -Lucis chopped salad - American (good palate cleanser and refreshing!) So, long story short, I'd definitely come here again, and I'd save room for dessert too. It is on the pricier side, but if you're looking for unique food, I think it's worth it. I am also interested in their sister restaurant in the same plaza, Walrus Rodeo. Tips: they say that 5 dishes is about the number of dishes needed to have a fairly full meal for 2 people. If you are hungry, definitely order more as they send out the food spaced out so you can enjoy your meal in a more relaxed fashion. You will need to order all the dishes at once, too. Also, you can come without a reservation, as they usually leave seats available for walk-ins, but you may need to wait. Half the bar seats are for walk-ins. Per the waitress, there is not much difference coming on the weekend vs. the weekday as they are usually busy all the time.

This is a cool spot in Miami and a great restaurant in general but I'm just confused on how this place earned a Michelin star? May be it's relative to Miami peers but compared to a NYC Michelin starred restaurant, this did not meet the mark by a mile (food and service). I would say this restaurant is very typical in what we find in a good restaurant in a major city. But I'll leave it at that - just pointing it out to manage expectations for a Michelin starred place. I thought the dessert were the highlight of the meal - simple dessert done well. Favorite was the crispy tiramisu. Kanpachi crudo - nothing crudo about this. Fish felt like it was cooked/smoked?? Baked clams - thought this was tasty Roasted cauliflower - this was just ok. Nothing special Chicken liver / foie gras - probably my favorite savory dish Taglioni Nero - this was such an odd dish. Flavor profile of a Kani salad. Squid ink pasta in mayo with some chunks of fresh crab meat. Ricotta gnocchi - sausage a bit salty. Truffles could've been shaved thinner. Gnocchi itself was fluffy and yummy Lamb ribs fra divola - this was a good dish. Lamb was juicy and tender Would I come back? Probably not but I don't regret checking out this place

writing this review after almost a year since i've eaten here but the meal still lingers in my mind. perhaps my favorite meal of 2023. make a reservation in advance! and i'm talking about weeks. i was very lucky to have been roaming around close by and snagged a table as a walk-in. what a gem this place is, such amazing food, and thank you to the server (megan) for your hospitality !! oh the baked clams and the pappardelle were divine. the morel mushrooms were so good, i am a mushroom fan now. the carrot cake with ginger ice cream and tiramisu, i think about them often. thank you to the boia de team, i'll always rave about you to anyone who will listen
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food, service and ambience.
Our waiter Freddie was great, explained all the dishes and checked in with us throughout the night. Every dish was better than the last. Can't recommend it enough and can't wait to come back!

My tastebuds are still tickled when I think of my scrumptious meal at Boia De! Dinner for 2 at the counter was lovely - got to see some of the action live while sitting on some comfy high top chairs. The drinks are vermouth/wine forward and fun spins on classics - I had a gin-less Non-groni which was a lovely spin on a negroni. In fact, I had 2 of these ;) Plate wise, we ordered the baked clams, the beef tartare, the Taglioni nero, the ricotta gnocchi ala nordica, and the lamb ribs fra diavola. Oh em gee flavors were off the charts good. My faves were the beef tartare, the lamb ribs and the gnocchi. The tartare was bright and savory and the chip texture was out of this world! they are chicharrón inspired and made of beef tendon! How innovative, right? The lamb ribs had a great kick to them, which was perfectly complemented by the yogurt sauce. One small note is that the knives were not serrated so though the ribs were tender, the meat was hard to cut if on a plate and you did not want to get messy with your hands :) But the gnocchi. The star of my show. Ricotta based pillows of goodness that were bathed in a rich but not heavy sauce with sausage and TRUFFLE ME CRAZY but the amount of truffle shavings on this dish is outstanding. Also probs my why the dish is almost $50. But worth the splurge in my opinion! The servers were attentive and did a nice job trading off. Casual but informative, they shared their reccs and I appreciated the substitutions and omissions for my partner who does not enjoy onion texture or flavor. Seating is limited, so and you're reso quick when you see one - Boia De is 5 stars all around! I do recommend bringing a jacket as the temp inside runs cool.

If your looking for great dinner, drinks and hospitality, stop by Boia De - you'll want to get there early if you hope to get a table without a reservation, they are packed from the minute they open! We sat at the bar, everyone around us seemed like they were having a wonderful time and it added to the incredible ambiance! Food was outstanding!

Walter and the Boia De team really delivered such a stellar experience! Definitely one of my top 5 favorite meals since I moved to Florida in 2015.Not only was the food phenomenal, the service was top notch - outstanding. The servers and kitchen staff went out of their way to make us feel like royalty.First of all, this unassuming, little restaurant had the best ambiance with very casual, chill vibe and great taste in music. The Rolling Stones were on in the background and it just fit so well with the causal, yet trendy atmosphere.Everything we tried was outstanding! My favorites were: The pappardelle which was homemade and so texturally perfect. The beef tartar with fried capers was out of this world and last but not least, the potato skins with caviar really were excellent. I really can't come up with the right words to describe the perfection of it all. All I know is that I will definitely dream about the food we had for a long time to come.
Be the first to ReplyThis is the best restaurant in Miami.
From food, which is incredibly thought out and creative and delicious to friendly service - this is the best.

We were really excited to go to this restaurant, some our friends suggested it as wonderful but we were really disappointed. We tried ordering the whole menu and we couldn't.We order a total of 15 plates and 2 desserts. We were expecting so much more from the food but it was just "ok" from the 15 plates we order we really liked 3 (Ika crudo, beef tarare and saffron tagliatelle pomodoro)of them the rest not so much, desserts (carrot cake and chocolate budino)Maybe it wasn't a good day for the kitchen.I suggest you go an have your own experience, give it try. Maybe we missed on the plates we didn't order, who knows. I

Loved this place, only 4 stars because making reservations suck, especially when I've heard that concierge always seem to grab up all the reservations, but food was delicious and eclectic
Be the first to ReplySuperb experience from beginning to end.
We started off with the polenta, then had the potato skins and the fried artichokes. Then we did the cold crab pasta and the gnocchi with sausage and truffles. The chocolate budino was to die for. Everything was fantastic. Will be back for sure.
Be the first to ReplyWe came in on a Friday night with an advanced reservation.
The restaurant seats maybe 30 people and has a very intimate vibe. The wine and cocktail list is superb, and they even make their own grenadine for non-alcoholic drinks. Our favorite dish was the salad, as it was a creative/upscale representation of what I've had as "Italian" salads at traditional trattorias. The other dishes like the potatoes and pasta were okay but the execution on them was a little lacking; the potatoes were chewy instead of crispy, and the pastas were either very al dente or too soft. Overall though I would still recommend trying this restaurant.

My significant other and I made reservations 4 weeks in advance to dine at Boia De- this was our celebratory dinner for Valentine's day. We were seated inside super quick. You will have to give your entire food order (except dessert) at once so make sure you make your decision once you give the order to your waiter. Our waiter recommended that for 2 people, we should order 4-6 plates. So we ordered 6 plates and we're pretty satisfied at the end. We started with the Ika Krudo and the Baked Clams. The Ika Krudo was amazing and had a great beet sauce. The Baked Clams were okay- probably could skip this dish. Then we had the chopped salad- the lettuce quality was amazing! One of our favorite dishes was the Octopus Confit- it was SO tender, not chewy at all! And it was packed with tons of flavor. At last- we ordered some pasta dishes- SAFFRON TAGLIATELLE POMODORO and PAPPARDELLE ALLA LEPRE- you really can't go wrong with either of these dishes but i really preferred the PAPPARDELLE because the pasta was a little thicker. Either way both pasta dishes were served al dente. Finally, we ended our meal with dessert: ginger ice cream and the crispy Tiramisu. Overall, amazing culinary experience. This place is a Miami gem!!

Service: Miguel, Monique, Tamar, & the whole staff were fantastic.Give them all a raise.Food/Wine: We especially loved the Nebbiolo, the simple pasta with Pomodoro, the lamb ribs, the tiramisu dessert, and the tiny bitter after dinner shots. We had no reservation so we showed up at 4 PM on a Saturday and spoke to the professional and very warm manager Miguel before they opened. We noticed the people who came at 5:30 without reservations were seated at the bar-- but we got a table. I am sure on a busy night people will be turned away . There was not one extra seat in the house. Plan ahead!
Be the first to ReplyI can't believe the meal and service I just had.
I flew from out of state for a wedding in Miami. Often, Michelin star meals are ostentatious and feel like you're staring at the blazing sun. Dining at Boia De was like watching a sunset while consuming food made with love. I recommend this place to my friends, strangers, and enemies. Everyone should try this once in their life. I recommend showing up when they open if you do not have a reservation. It's worth the wait.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is absolutely spectacular.
After researching Miami cuisine looking for good Michelin restaurants we ended up here and it was so good we went back before the trip was over. The black truffle agnolotti was amazing and the tartar was so unique and my favorite I've ever had. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in town.

This restaurant sits in a very nondescript corner of a small shopping center. I thought I was in the wrong place at first. Friends had said to come here if I wanted to have a solo dinner, and it did not disappoint, in fact it exceeded my expectations. It's a small restaurant with only a few tables but the bar is big enough to sit several couples (or singles) comfortably. I ordered a very tasty glass of red wine, the steak tartare, half of a chopped salad (they only offer the half portion if you're dining alone) and the king crab tagliolini. I hadn't eaten more than an avocado all day so this was the perfect amount for a very hungry woman. The portions aren't huge either so a starter, greens and an entree was perfect. Best steak tartare I've had in my recent memory. They fry beef tendons in order to make the "chips" that go with it. It was perfection. The chopped salad was delicious but I'm partial to a solid chopped salad, which this was. The pasta was served cold, light but also creamy and was worth the very full feeling I felt when I walked out of there. For me, a cold pasta in summer is welcomed and I was so happy with my choice. I'll have to go back to try the potato skins with caviar. *al Bacio*
Be the first to ReplyWent on a Wednesday night for a birthday dinner.
We've gone to multiple Michelin starred restaurants in both Miami and NYC and this has been our favorite thus far. Every dish was excellent, creative and well priced. Our favorite dishes were the gnocchi and the beef tartare. Drinks and service were also excellent.
Be the first to ReplyIt's been about a year and a Michelin Star since my first
It's been about a year and a Michelin Star since my first visit to Boia De and a reservation is harder to get than ever for this little hole in the wall with world class food. It remains one of the best unassuming restaurants in Miami. Every item on the menu is outstanding. The Beef Tartare is better than Surf Club, Bourbon Steak, Lido. The Buffalo Ricotta Gnocchi Pomodoro is as good as anything you'll find at Marea or Acquarello. The Lamb Ribs are scrumptious. Fried Potato skins with stracciatella, Regiis Ova Caviar and egg are a high end comfort food indulgence. The Spot Prawn Crudo with watermelon aquachile and Fresno granita sings. Saffron Tagliatelle alla Vongole will please spaghetti and clam lovers. All the pastas are house made right before the restaurant opens. Some sell out as they don't have space to keep anything for the next day. If you miss clams oreganata that you find in Italian restaurants all over the New York area and few in Miami, try the baked clams here made with nduja. The wine list remains eclectic with a focus on old world, small producers and biodynamic with prices that are about 100-125% above retail. Your biggest challenge will be getting a reservation. You can try for a walk in but not easy. Premium Amex Cards will give you waiting list notice on Resy. I understand the reservation system opens up at noon each day for the next 30 days out. Highlights:* A hole in the wall with outstanding food* Wish it were a little cooler and the music a little lower but the food is worth it to endure a little inconvenience* DO NOT expect to walk in and get a table, you need to reserve weeks in advance on Resy with a small $10 short notice cancellation guarantee, you might snag a seat at the counter without a reservation, but no guarantee* Italian Fusion Tapas/Sharing Style* Indoor and Outdoor SeatingKudos to Chef partners Luciana from Italy and Alex for bringing a great new addition to Little Haiti, but actually just a couple of minutes away from the Design District. Of the 14 dishes we sampled there was not one disappointment and a lot of wows. Our friends drive from Boca Raton every week to come here. I was a little hesitant to write this review because if it causes more people to come here I may never be able to get a reservation! But these guys deserve a great review, hardworking, small business owners, putting their heart and soul into creating some of the best food in Miami. Boia De is located in a stip shipping center next to a laundromat. Don't let the location or ambience dissuade you from coming as you will enjoy great food. I'm not a fan of polenta, but the crispy polenta is better than anything I I've ever had. The littleneck baked clams are tasty with a touch of nduja, spicy Calabrian pork, bread crumbs, butter, garlic and lemon. But what may blow you away are the lamb ribs, killer! The Amberjack Crudo was sensational with yuzu salsa verde as was the excellent beef tartare with tomato and garlic-shallot crumble served with crispy grilled bread. Those are some of the things I would go back for, as well as the potato skins with caviar which I didn't get to try but heard rave reviews about. The Tagliolini al Nero, black squid ink pasta with king crab and lemon truffle sauce had a delicious nutty flavor, and it was fun to try half of the other things on the menu, the bone marrow, foie gras torchon, corn agnolotti, Fava salad and some outstanding desserts. The Affogato, Carrot Cake and Chocolate Budino were great and the tiramisu was better than any tiramisu... crispy! There is a moderate size eclectic wine list with a focus on Old World, otherwise $35 corkage with some limitations and they will waive a corkage fee for each bottle you purchase from them. There is a reservation limit of four people. Thanks to Luciana and Alex for your commitment to create a new little gem.
Be the first to ReplyGood food in a hidden location.
Their menu is pretty unique but I am not really sure it's worth a Michelin Star. Prices are not too high - although I didn't like they charged me for bread - and could improve on the overall service. I had to dine with water dripping over me from the AC, which wasn't entirely pleasant. Anyways, overall I enjoyed it, will be back (hopefully sit in another spot) and would recommend it.
