Brasserie Gavroche Singapore Reviews from The Last Year
Very good French food in a cosy shop house
Had a business lunch - full house and very busy but service was swift and courteous. The escargots and bone marrow were great. Unfortunately they ran out of lamb chops so I selected the lobster and scallops - it was very good though should have lighten on the salt. Duck confit was crispy and done well. No complaints but not extraordinary to deserve the 5 stars
Another amazing French meal in Singapore
We now have a third restaurant to add to the list here in Singapore. It is so nice to finally have a few places that not only serve amazing food but also have amazing service and can handle basics like serving all the courses simultaneously! The restaurant itself is in a lovely little street and looks as quaint and French as if you’ve been transported there. On entering the feeling continues, like most restaurants in older buildings it’s long and narrow but space is used well and the decor is typical of a modern French bistro. The waiters were all excellent, both friendly and attentive. The menu was wide enough to provide ample choice but not too wide to become overwhelming or too big to handle properly in the kitchen. The typical French mainstays are there lime fois gras, onion soup, snails, confit duck etc. we enjoyed Starters - foie gras and snails. Sublime. Mains - Brest chicken with morel sauce and confit duck. Both superb. It is am to be hyper critical I would’ve preferred a little more colour and umami impact on the morel sauce. I can’t fault the chicken though. Delicious. Desserts - crepe Suzette and cheese. Both superb. The cheese board was huge, not the usual skimping here. All was washed down with some port. Superb night out and superb food.
Great as always. Always consistent
Great lunch as always. Place was busy but service was attentive and professional Good quality of dishes and generous servings of Wines by glass
Good Food but........
We were booked in that place by a friend of the owner/boss. He had clearly stated it was our Wedding Anniversary (not looking for free-bees) just acknowledgment. We arrived & there was only 2 tables occupied, walked by the "comptoir" where boss was standing & didn't greet us, customers walking in. There was no interaction with staff during the whole meal, not a kind word, just plain service. As we walked out, the boss said "Goodbye" and I must say it is consistent with most of the outlets here in Singapore, "Never say hello, but don't forget to say Goodbye". Food was excellent and that was a comfort.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
