Elegance in the middle of Redwood City
When friends suggested this place, we checked out the menu online, but nothing can prepare you for the warm welcome and superior service at Broadway Masala! The avocado and raisin bhel was mindblowing, and since our friends were vegan, we had mainly vegetarian foods, but I would love to go back and try more of the menu. It's creative, it's beautiful, and it lingers in your mind.
Be the first to ReplyDecent Food, Nice Setting, Location, and Good Service
One thing I wanted to point out is that when eating Biriyani in India, it was normally served to us. This was the only Indian restaurant that I have been to in the US that served it to us, meaning the brought the dish out, and scooped it onto our plates. The food was good, they serve booze here also and the setting looked decent if you care about that stuff. If you enjoy live music, the area outside this place has live music on Fridays during the summer.

Excellent delicious experience. Polite staff, fantastic flavors in a great setting. So good, can’t wait to return! Even the rice was worth taking home!
Be the first to ReplyWe love this restaurant
Staff is very friendly and welcoming; I felt like they really appreciate our business. Superb service.
We both loved the orange beetroot salad. It was large enough for two of us to share. We had the citrus dressing on the side. They use very fresh ingredients; the mixed greens, orange slices and cucumber tasted very crisp and fresh.
We both loved the fig & walnut Kofta entree. Very tasty; a little on the spicy side but delicious. Loved the basmati rice and naan served with the entree. Loved the sauce.
After 6PM, street parking is free and we had no difficulty finding a parking space on a Tuesday evening.
Excellent and gracious
My wife and I tried this restaurant for the first time this evening and we loved everything about it. The moment we stepped inside we were greeted warmly--and we received friendly and gracious service throughout the meal. Right away, we noticed the nice ambiance and the pleasant background music. The food was outstanding. Between the two of us, we tried the Samosas (some of the best we've ever had), the Paneer Shimla Mirch (paneer with onion and bell peppers with a hint of ginger--just terrific) and the Butter Chicken (perfect). We also enjoyed the Plain Naan (perfect) and the Garlic Naan (as nice as we have ever had; garlic not overly heavy). We ordered plain Basmati rice, that was warm and fluffy and tender (not dried out). It seems that everything that comes to the table is prepared with care by chefs who really take pride in their work. This is a very special restaurant--our new favorite Indian restaurant on the Peninsula.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful birthday takeout dinner
While some of our favorite restaurants seem to have declined in quallity (or ingredients and preparation), this place has maintained its excellence. The favorites were butter Chicken and the lamb shank, but the red lentil dal was a huge hit, as was the naan with cilantro and garlic. Cauliflower and artichoke appetizers were a lesser contribution. Order was perfectly executed. Writing this has made me hungry so I will be back!

Love their fig and walnut kofta. We tried most items on their vegetarian menu - all very good. Highly recommended.

Hope this pandemic dies down soon and I get a chance to eat at Broadway masala again. One of the last places I ate out in2 weeks.
We went for dinner. Service was excellent. Avocado Bhel was really good! I loved their food. Order anything on their menu. Veggies and carnivores both left happy.

This a downtown restaurant with large windows giving vista of roads on two sides. Wasn't very crowded on a working day afternoon. Mixed cosmopolitan crowd. Authentic Indian food of good quality. Friendly service.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious and not “touristy” Indian food!
Broadway Masala doesn’t have a buffet, so all dishes are cooked to order. Gunpowder Shrimp is delicious, and all lamb and chicken dishes are excellent. Service is spot on and there is a full bar. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyYummy lunch specials
We visited Broadway Masala to celebrate a co-workers birthday. There were 7 of us and each of us ordered a different dish from the lunch special. I have to say that I was plesantly surprised by the dishes I tasted. The saag paneer and the Paneer KajuMakhana, butter chicken, vindaloo chicken and rogan ghost were all enjoyed by us. Each of my co-workers gave high ratings to their dishes. They offer salad, rice, hot naans and papad with each lunch special.
The service was decent and the ambiance is nice. I would definitely visit this place again.
