FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL! Very pricey especially on Valentine's Day, but couldn't have asked for a better date night.
Be the first to ReplyI have heard SO Many Good things about this restaurant.
It's owned by Biggie Smalls ex Manager, it's Highly visited by celebs, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is amazing. All of that may be true however, I didn't know it had an Asian feel/vibe when it comes to the food. I do not eat ANY Asian cuisine. So I ordered beef short ribs, as always, I was kinda hungry as I didn't eat prior that day, not too mess up my appetite . One of the young ladies with me, read the reviews prior to our arrival and shared with us, that 95% of the reviews were regarding how UN Seasoned the food was. They were SO CORRECT!! We first ordered lobster dumplings , at my friends request . I wasn't quite sure how it was going to be as again , I don't eat Asian cuisine . When it came I tried one , not for me, and I knew this but, I tried !! Next we ordered 2 plates of the beef short ribs , and my other friend ordered some kind of fish they had on the menu. And we ordered the crab fried rice and garlic sautéed broccoli . I was the ONLY one who ate!! The beef short ribs was just as BLAND as bland could be however I had not eaten ALL day and our reservation was at 7 pm. The crab fried rice , the crab was fried in a breading and THEN mixed into the rice , I hated it, none of us ate it because of that . My other friend who ordered the beef short ribs, Never Even Ate the Shit !! She just sat there and played with her food like a disappointed kid! My friend who ordered the fish, sent it back almost immediately after tasting it she said it tasted like nothing !! However the ambiance and drinks were good! I will not be back
Be the first to ReplyThe ambience was nice and the waiter was very friendly.
However, I expected more from all of the hype. The food was under seasoned and just tasted like regular basic food. It was overpriced for what I got and I could've gotten better at a chain restaurant. If you want to go for Instagram photos then this is your spot, but if you actually want to enjoy amazing food that will transform you, this place isn't it.
Be the first to ReplyAwful! I will not be coming back.
For the prices they charge their customer service is mediocre. Employees were busy chatting with each other and don't pay attention to guests. It was my first time and there was no introduction no menu break down no specials. It was difficult to get bartender attention. My first order took awhile and they forgot soy sauce, I ordered not what I expected and had to pay for it. One pac man dumpling wasn't fresh. Rude customer service. No proper step of service they might as well just get rid of white clothes. It made me feel like they do not want guests. Don't waste your money here. Food was bad.

I recently had a late night meal at Brooklyn Chop House, and I have to say, It was great experience. Despite the fact that we arrived close to closing time, the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and made sure that we felt right at home. But let's talk about the food. I ordered the 24 oz. bone-in dry aged ribeye, and it was absolutely fantastic. Cooked medium-rare, the steak was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. And the fact that the bartender gave me a side on the house just made the meal even better - it's that kind of extra touch that really sets Brooklyn Chop House apart from other restaurants. While not the best steak I've had in NYC its still worth a visit. Speaking of the bartender, I also have to give a shoutout to the Spicy Watermelon Cooler cocktail, which was one of the best drinks I've had in a long time. Made with fresh watermelon juice and a hint of spice, it was refreshing, balanced, and absolutely on point.

So I went here because it was highly recommended by a few ppl and I will Not be going back. Honestly the best part of my experience here was the waiter. I believe his name was Alex, oh geez I hope that's his name, he was the only 5star part of this experience. He was very attentive and cordial. The ambiance was cute, but ambiance doesn't matter to me if the food isn't all that. So the food....The food is not worth the price. I've been many places for food. From hole in the walls to fine dining restaurants that have dress codes.Going to Brooklyn Chophouse was just to say "I went" , like been there done that won't go back. I ordered the 9spice shrimp. The batter was so thick I took the batter off just to enjoy the shrimp. My boyfriend ordered the lamb chops.. big thumbs down. For 70$ they could at least season it. Put some parsley or rosemary on it, you know razzle dazzle it, salt n pepper perhaps. We ordered the duck tacos.. smh I felt I could've appreciated the duck tacos more if it were in a traditional corn or flour taco tortilla instead of something that tasted like a sun chip. I got the wedge salad which I did enjoy. I mean thank goodness they didn't mess up a salad. We did get dumplings, another SMH. The dough the dumplings were in was so thick and doughy like, my boyfriend and I liked it better to just eat the contents of the dumpling and discard the exterior. For sides we got mashed potatoes and chicken fried rice. The chicken fried rice was average however the mashed potatoes were surprisingly good. The drinks .... My boyfriend ordered a henny colada and it visibly had ice in it. It looked like soda mixed with milk. The waiter however was very understanding that we was sending that back. He swapped it out for the lychee froze which was ok. We only ordered one drink each, we was just over it. AND THEN the to go boxes are so darn cheap. For the price of the food they could at least have decent to go containers. The to go boxes resembled the Big Mac boxes.
Be the first to ReplyBrooklyn Chop House is always a great vibe.
I prefer this one over time square. But last night our service was 0.5. Our server Emilio I think his name was because he never told us was high as a kite. When I tell you that man forgot us and order..... the first time with the apps it was ok and funny but for our entrees that was really not much because it was two of us had us waiting for over an hour then told us he forgot we wasn't checked on frequently (none of his tables we was sitting in front with four other tables) then waited another 30min for our check food was great but our service not so much but the other staff that was there (young girls) surly did make it so much better

Came here on a whim after brunch with my friends for my bday (2/19) and I was BLOWN AWAY. I've heard of this place over and over but I don't care to follow the trends, HOWEVER it ABSOLUTELY lives up to the hype. I want to start with the ambiance, very elegant and pretty. I wish I could remember this man's name but his service was top tier, very pleasant and attentive... Now the FOOD worth every single penny someone ordered the lamb and we past that baby around like a reefer joint (lol) it did not take away from the spicy shrimp but paired very well with the mashed potatoes... I never thought cheeseburgers and dumplings made sense but only if Chop house is doing them, blown away with how good they were... All in all it was an 11 out of 10 experience, and to top it all off we could not make up our minds on desserts but that wonderful server surprised us with an array of cheesecakes... Juniors and Cheesecake Factory better watch out lol... I'll be back! *Schwarzenegger voice*
Be the first to ReplyNice ambiance.
Excellent service. Great location. I had the lychee frozé which was just right. The pork dumplings and scallion steak noodles were nice appetizers. For the main entree we had the porterhouse steak with garlic mash and shrimp fried rice which was a nice combination. Great portions. Enough for take home along with some bao buns for later.
