This was not my first visit to the Bull & Bear restaurant and hopefully it won't be my last. This restaurant is located inside of Walt Disney World onsite at the Waldorf Astoria so you can expect nothing but the best. This establishment is luxurious from the moment you arrive until the time you depart. Before you can arrive to the restaurant or luxury hotel you arrive through the gates of Walt Disney World. Our reservations were for 9 pm and we arrived to a fireworks display occurring at the main park, but we could still enjoy them as we arrived for dinner. The grounds are immaculately kept and we enjoyed the scenery as we arrived to the hotel. Tasteful and grande decor is what you will experience as you take the walk to the restaurant. We were seated near the window which overlooks the Olympic swimming pool and miniature golf area. After being seated, we were greeted by one of the three servers who waited on us for our dining event. We were here to celebrate my birthday. Each one of the young men were extremely courteous, knowledgeable on food preparation, including why the one bread was served warm and the other was served at room temperature. Quite impressive! Make sure you try both of the bread offerings. This isn't the place to start worrying about calories. This amuse-bouche of the evening was sea bass ceviche served on a serving spoon garnished with a sliver of red onion and chive. I am usually not a big fan of ceviche, but I am so glad I didn't let that from stop me from enjoying my small treat from the chef. Phenomenal and fresh! Our drink selection of the evening was the the old fashion chai (that might not be the exact name, but it was a cold drink that was the perfect mixture of rum and bourbon). For starters, we ordered the wedge salad and the award wining lobster bisque. The bisque arrives with only a medallion of lobster in the bottom and the server pours the bisque over the medallion; not only was the flavor extraordinary, the presentation of this bisque sets it apart from others at similar establishments. For our entrees, we both ordered steaks. I ordered the ribeye which I had butterflied and cooked medium. My dining companion ordered the NY Sirloin cooked medium rare. These steaks are a quality cut and seasoned with only salt and pepper, and they are seared at high temperature and rested to sear in the juices. They are able to maintain the warm temperature by serving on a hot plate. Both steaks were garnished with a half of roasted garlic bulb. We shared sautéed garlic spinach. All dishes were expertly prepared and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to splurge. This restaurant does come at a premium cost, but it was worthy every dollar spent. I was too full to order a dessert, but they still sent us home with a complimentary chocolate bar for dessert. This was not a traditional chocolate bar, but more like a chocolate mousse served in the shape of a bar. Note: while I didn't have this dish on this visit, the dover sole is outstanding and the best I have had at any restaurant. The serve a fish so fresh you can eat the fried bones. I know it sounds a tad weird, but still one of my favorite dishes.
