Delicious Dinner
The Maccheroni pasta I had was delicious. My husband had the Ravioli and it was also delicious. The people very attentive. Don’t miss this place in your next time in Florence.

Amazing fantastic place. It was raining and chilly and then the sun started to come out. I wanted to find a place to sit drink wine and soak up the sun. Walked by this place and Sebastian got us a table outside. Understanding that we wanted an awning in case it began to rain again. When it did look like it was going to rain he moved us to where there were heaters. We enjoyed it so much we went again the next day. Perfect spot to enjoy the sites. People watch and enjoy wine. Loved it!!!

Very nice cafe, with a unique view but especially the attention. Christopher treated us with exceptional kindness and patience, we will return!
Be the first to ReplyBreakfast in Firenze
We have breakfast here every time we’re in Florence because it opens at 7am and excellent breakfast whether buffet or a La carte. Right beside entrance to Ponte Vecchio. Seating outside has great view of the Arno river and Ponte Vecchio.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic food and ambience
We had come for appetizers and drinks and wanted to come back for dinner. Such a nice break from traditional Italian food. Italian cuisine with a twist. Delicious. Our server Lucia was wonderful. They also have the best kids menu we have seen in all of Italy with great options for even picky eaters. We will be back.
Be the first to ReplyYou need to organize yourself better
Aperitif...unfortunately we didn't succeed this time because we waited as requested by the staff but instead of giving the table to us it was given to another couple without a reservation and for an aperitif. Organize yourself better, this is not good. Naturally I reported it that we were leaving and the lady apologized, but it's a lapse in style for a place of this stature
Be the first to ReplyOK but …
We returned to Caffè de L'Oro after a few years and unfortunately the experience was not as positive as previously. The location is undoubtedly unique, eating "in your mouth" at the Ponte Vecchio, one step away from the Arno, has no equal. International-fusion menu good but with some negative aspects, for example: the balance of flavors in the octopus would need to be reviewed, the hamburger meat cold inside and "industrial" fries. Wine list not particularly rich and a little overpriced. But what is most surprising is the service in many respects: 1- it is right to have a roster of international waiters but they should at least all speak fluent Italian and therefore understand it. 2- no one to tell you about the dishes when you arrive at the table. 3- waiting times a little too long for example the bottle of red was brought to us when we had almost finished the second one or out of 4 glasses ordered initially one of the 4 was wrong and we had to wait 10 minutes before receiving the requested one . Overall, overall a positive experience but we probably won't go back.

We stopped in late and ordered several appetizers and one main. Inventive, beautiful and excellent flavor profiles. The artichoke appetizer is wonderful as were all our selections…and very good value! Great people watching with the huge windows to the street. Highly recommended for an alternate food offering and great service.

I am Florentine but very often I like to be a tourist in my city, I highly recommend spending time in this delightful place where, being able to stay outside to enjoy a bit of sun, you can try the dishes of the creative cuisine of the talented chef served by the guys at the staff who are kind and professional, Sebastian in particular, very kind and very competent, will be able to advise you on the best choices of the day.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful view and that’s it…
View of the Ponte Vecchio apart from the crowds crossing it. And you have time to admire it because the service is so inefficient!! The waitress does not know how to take an order, serve food, bring the menu, bring drinks, the bill, the credit card by regrouping her actions a little. One table, one action. Then I confirm the high price for a glass of wine which does not contain the “regulatory” volume of 12 cl. And a classic cocktail not as tasty as the one from a small bar the day before...
Be the first to ReplyA touch pricey
We were visiting from San Francisco for our honeymoon. We came for dinner and ordered the octopus appetizer, pasta, miso salmon main, and tirimasu dessert. Apart from the dessert we agreed that all dishes were tasty but nothing really wow'd us for a 1 Michelin star place. The tirimasu however did stand out as one of the best we've had on our trip.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is a complete rip off! 36€ for 2 Aperol Spritz at the cafe!!! Do I need to say more? Avoid!
