My husband and I enjoyed a lovely date night here. The food was amazing: we enjoyed appetizers (and regretted not staying for dinner since the apps were so delicious). I had the squash soup, he had the lamb and octopus. So amazing! The service and ambiance were incredible, too. Hands down our favorite restaurant during our stay - we will be back!

Couples dinner. They concluded their Rosemary Beach vacation with us at Caliza Restaurant. I was very pleased with the Service - attentive, polite and friendly. We shared four starters: Whipped Feta, Tomato Salad (with Burrata), Octopus and Tuna tartare. My favorite was the whipped feta and octopus. My main plate was the Seared Scallops - a tad too much salt but I was satisfied. Overall a very good dining experience and highly recommend.

We always have one adult night while at the beach and this year we ate at Caliza. The atmosphere is incredible and this is the nicest setting I have ever had dinner at. The meal was also very good and everyone enjoyed dinner. Id would give the atmosphere 5 stars and the meal 4 stars. It is fairly pricey but you pay for what you get with Caliza.

If you are staying in the Alys Beach area, you HAVE TO EAT HERE. You absolutely cannot beat the ambiance, the food, and the service! We ordered the Sweet Corn Agnolotti and added shrimp to the dish. It was one of the best meals I have ever had, hands down. Thanks for a great experience- we will be dining with you again!

The staff were so accommodating and make an amazing cocktail. Iโd recommend the bees knees and burrata toast to any one!

We visited this restaurant with friends based on great reports from other people. Unfortunately it was raining and so we were shown straight to our table as the open air bar was closed. We were asked if we would like a drink and told that someone would attend to us. The server then appeared to regale us with the fine detail of everything on the menu, emphasising the fact that everything on the menu was fresh. When we enquired how they managed to serve fresh Spanish octopus in Florida the server said that he would ask the chef and he came back to say, rather embarrassingly, that it was frozen. When the sommelier came to take our wine order they still hadn't taken our cocktail order but the order was then placed. We then asked the sommelier about the Aligote on the wine list at which he started to launch into a glowing description of the merits of the wine. When we stopped him and said that we really wanted to know why they were charging $76 per bottle for a wine that was only 8 euros in France, he firstly said that it was the grower, then when we pointed out that the major growers in Burgundy didn't grow this grape, he said it was the vintage. We then pointed out that the vintage was not particularly relevant as Aligote is an every day country Burgundy wine often used for mixing with creme de cassis to make Kir. He then decided it was the cost of importation that made it so expensive, despite the fact that there was a bottle of Chablis on the wine list, obviously from the same area, that was priced at $49. Then the cocktails finally arrived immediately followed by the starters giving us no time to enjoy the drinks before we started eating. The ladies were unhappy that at least one of the items listed as being in their chosen salad was missing, but we said nothing. The next course arrived and both of our wives took one mouthful of their shrimp dish and found that the shrimps were completely raw inside the coating that covered them. These were sent back and the waiter came back to inform us that they were indeed raw and that the chef agreed that he hadn't cooked them enough. The offer to cook them again was declined and the ladies decided just to have the crab soup. When the soup arrived it was a tasteless creamy paste, which was also not eaten. By this time we had had enough with our friends declaring this the worst meal that they had ever experienced. We paid the bill, which seemed ridiculous for what we had had and immediately went to another restaurant with which we were familiar for a decent meal.

Weโve been looking for a new โdate restaurantโ and tried Caliza out in July for a belated anniversary celebration. We were not disappointed in the slightest. Everything was awesome from the hostess to the exit, service was very attentive, food was fantastic and we felt like it was a good value as well. Itโs totally outdoors around a pool - no view of the gulf but who cares when the service and food is so excellent. We will definitely be going back.

Every part of the meal was disgusting The nasty white paste they call soup. I love heirloom Tomatoes with a burrata this was sickening with a soup Like dressing . The octopus was ineatable . My husband thought he was eating a Koi from a fish tank. Worse the waitress knew and did not care . The bread was bad. No one ate their expensive dinner Do not go !
