Ambiance was nice, we sat outside and weather was perfect
Ambiance was nice, we sat outside and weather was perfect for it. I have to say, very disappointed in the food. This place has 1 Michelin star and nothing about it showed they deserved it. Nothing about the food stood out, the cauliflower was saved by the sauce it was in, without the sauce it seemed to have just been a piece boiled cauliflower with a very raw egg, I would not call it poached, which just made the whole thing gooey and undesirable. The pan con tomate was probably the only authentic Spanish dish we had. We got the pan con tomate with cinco jotas and the manchego. The ingredients tasted authentic, but the bread could have been a bit toasted rather than just cold with cold ingredients on top. No effort whatsoever. We had the rice dish as our entree, which is supposed to be a paella. The rice was cooked good but there was no flavor or the traditional Spanish seasoning I was looking for, I don't remember now but I think the menu said saffron and I got not one hint of saffron on the dish. They did manage to put an orange sauce all over the rice which resembled and tasted more like a sriracha spicy mayo, which should never go on top of a paella. Would have ordered more dishes to try if it had been worth it. Very disappointed. Definitely not Michelin star worthy.

Stunning interior, and wonderful welcoming service! All of the tapas were delicious, with particular favorites being the savory croquettes, delicious wrapped dates, buttery polenta, and crispy fried eggplant. Of all the desserts, the olive oil cake was my favorite, refreshing with bright citrus flavors. The chocolate lava cake was also dense and decadent. The cocktails we tried were great too, with my favorite being the modern mojito with luscious passionfruit ginger foam. Perfect for an elegant night out!

Everything about Capa is five stars, but just about everything falls just short - it's a solid B+/A- masquerading as an A+ because of its consistency and highly technical execution. The flavors experienced here are subtle and sublime. My seven year old expressed his feeling by saying it was amazing but lacking in spices - it tasted like it only had just the perfect amount of salt and pepper. I expect an eye-popping flavor experience at a Guide Michelin starred restaurant, and I experienced it here...just very classically and well...sublimely. I had the Iberico pluma (pork skirt steak) and it was fantastic. It had a very porky smell at first, almost like acorns, and ate like a fine steak. The waitress described it as thin, but it was about 3/4 of an inch thick, which is how I like my steaks. Perfectly seasoned and charred, with an amazing sauce. The classic sauces here are spot on. The wine list is fantastic, and anyone complaining about it is an idiot. They got a Wine Enthusiast award - stick with the Spanish wines. That said, just like the menu, the wines are excellent but subtle. The problem with Capa is that there is a lack of creativity. I'm not a huge fan of gimmicky gold foil or foams, but there was a severe lack of innovation. No modernist spin, no molecular gastronomy, nothing that screamed out "Iron Chef", so to speak. I wish there was a tasting menu. Would I visit again? I'm not sure. There are better options at Disney - Jaleo by Andros has an amazing Spanish selection at a slightly less expensive price point, with better ambiance in my opinion.

The service was good. This place is LOUD and you have to sit at the right place. We had to be moved a lot of drunk people. The wine list by the glass is terrible and by the bottle is bad. The restaurant doesn't have a good selection and is over priced, the tapas are good and dessert. Steak is good but hit or miss. I was told more than three times to order the more expensive filet by the waiter. I didn't want that much and my steak was over done. The others at the table their steaks were ok. Sauces good. WAY to much salt in everything. Dessert was very good. If I go again I'll stick to the other items on the tapas menu several were good
Be the first to ReplyLocated on the 17th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel.
Valet parking available. The view is unbelievable. We were seated outside just in time to enjoy the MK fireworks. The view was fantastic and best of all, no crowds! Service was excellent, food was superb! My absolute favorite was the Cerdo, I ended up ordering another portion! So so good! My husband loved the drinks. Will certainly return on our next trip to Orlando.

A truly incredible meal in a beautiful setting, with excellent service. We went earlier in the evening and were tucked back into a booth; it did get busy with families coming back from the parks as the evening went on, but they were mostly on the other side of the restaurant, thankfully. The environment does seem at odds with children. We went for a birthday, and they really pulled out all the stops, with complementary side sauces and desserts, and a few other special touches. We split the porterhouse, and it was cooked perfectly to medium-rare, melt-in-your-mouth consistency -- and for two people, it was still a generous serving. The sauces were what really made it sing. The sides were good, but they didn't stand out to me as much as the steak did. Desserts were also excellent, but nothing groundbreaking. All said, we will be back!

The steaks and service were good, the patatas bravas were flavorless. The ambience reminded me of a high end food court or theme part restaurant. Dress code is nonexistent and kids seem to be encouraged. I would not go back a second time, maybe they can trick tourists that this is 5 star but this 3.5 stars.

Came here for my bachelorette dinner and it was amazing! We made a reservation in advance and found out it's located at the four seasons hotels. Be prepared for valet service and the full experience here! The quality service, classy ambiance, and food display was phenomenal. The staff are so welcoming and I even got a congrats written on my dessert (the details matter!). Would Highly recommend for a fancy night out for any occasion, hands down!

Service food and ambience were all 5 star! Absolutely loved my experience all around as I have been twice and I can't get enough of it! Food: I've gone to this restaurant 2 times and each time I approached it differently. The first time I enjoyed this restaurant with a traditional entree and second time I had mostly apps. Both times were amazing. To highlight a few things I would say for appetizers I loved the octopus, corn elote, croquetas and the pan con tomate. Entree I went with a fat steak and loved every inch of it! Service: incredible and I loved towards the end of my meal we timed it perfectly to have a night cap watching the fireworks from the balcony. Ambience: The vibe was chill while also elegant. I was having a glass of wine at the bar and Pat Sajak sat at the bar. This sums it up I think.

We were over for our Tron ride preview in the middle of the week so we snagged a reservation for this Michelin star restaurant. We have been trying to get over here for a while for the happy hour but could never make it. It is on the roof of the Four Seasons hotel which is a really high end hotel. We weren't staying here, just here for dinner. We reserved bar seating which also includes a really nice lounge and outside seats. The booth we had was awesome! Once seated Alicia our server dropped by to take our drink order and review the menu with us. She was great and offered really good suggestions. Since it was happy hour we started there with Gambas. Pretty good. Croquetas. Ok. A little lacking in flavor though. Shishito peppers and chorizo. Separately ok but together as a bite it's delicious. We paid regular price for the Pan con tomato as it was not on the happy hour menu. So good. Fresh and delicious. For our main we had the filet. Cooked perfectly and so tender. You could literally cut it with a fort. We got their house steak sauce which was ok but the verde sauce was delicious! The side was Corn polenta. This was amazing! Wine and cocktails are good but pricey. The food was reasonable until you get into their better cuts of meat which are above $100. I have no doubt they would be incredible though. Overall a really great place with great service and the ambiance is so nice. We will be back.

Not my first time here but I figured I needed to make a review because everyone should know of this gem! It's a Spaniard Michelin Star fine dinning restaurant so it's super nice but also different style from the usual fancy steakhouse.AND there's a rooftop area so if you make a dinner reservation for around 6:45-7, you can watch the fireworks that start at 8:15 right from the balcony! And the waiter will remind you of this too!Our waiter named Warren is excellent! Tell him the "Orange" girl sent ya!Anyways, Porterhouse was cooked to PERFECTION.Literally want more as I'm typing this.Ambiance is sophisticated and romantic, the service is impeccable. Great prices for the food value and portions.Special date night worthy!

I was excited to finally try this place after hearing they had received a Michelin star. I was not I overly impressed with the decor but the views were nice. Our server was friendly but definitely seemed rushed. Ordered drinks which were fine. Next time I will have wine for sure. We started with the bread and croquettes. The croquettes were by far the best part of the meal. Everything about them was perfect. Our entree was the filet. It was beautifully done. Had the vegetable salad and the regular salad as sides. Both were good. Also got the potato purée which was nice but not very flavorful. Our check took 30 minutes to get to our table after we were done eating and that was pretty frustrating. There was a large party that was seated next to us that arrived after we did and they got their checks way before we did. Overall it was a good meal but not my favorite. I would eat here again if someone else wanted to go but I would not be the one suggesting it.
Be the first to ReplyIf you are a local, don't bother.
I have tried many times to book a reservation, only to be told that they can only book persons staying at the hotel for Capa on weekends, or any holiday weeks

We really enjoyed their tapas and steak. Atmosphere and view is amazing! If you're looking for a place to celebrate Capa is definitely a place to go.

Awesome Spanish steakhouse restaurant on the 17th floor of the Four Seasons resort at Walt Disney World. Dine and take breaks to go onto the balcony with grandstand views of the early evening fireworks at both the Magic Kingdom and later at the EPCOT Center.Cocktails are epic (in Spanish fashion is a must), the menu is great featuring authentic iberico pork imported from Spain, alongside a wide range of steaks, paella, and a range of light flavorful tapas plates.Service is very en point and this restaurant would not feel amiss in a major metropolis like New York or San Francisco.
Be the first to ReplyDo I think this place is a Michelin star restaurant? Nope.
I've been to Michelin star restaurants and had way better service and meals. I came in with some friend and we had a few small plates to share. The croquets, I could have enjoyed the whole plate. The Gambas which was the shrimp dish was just ok. The yolk and garlic chips was the best part of that dish. I had the short rib. It has a forgettable glaze over the rib but it was really tender. The table orders sides to share which included the corn, mushrooms, potatoes and fried eggplant. Out of the 4 sides the mushrooms were the most memorable. I'm glad I went to experience it but I can find a better meal on Disney property.

I made reservations about a month and a half in advance and was able to secure a spot easily. Capa is a chíc, modern, upscale eatery located on the 17th floor of the Four Seasons hotel. In close proximity to the Disney theme parks, you can see the nightly fireworks at the parks from the restaurant's balcony, a bonus to your dining experience. Capa offers a mix of Spanish tapas and American steakhouse options and simply put, it's delicious. We ordered the gamba and croquetas to start and the langosta and 16oz short rib for our main, along with mashed potatoes and the corn polenta for our sides. Everything was tasty and cooked to perfection. The potatoes were probably some of the creamiest and smoothest I've had. The most unique dish for me was the gamba (shrimp on a concoction of egg yolk, chili and celery root chips), definitely worth a try if you're looking for something different. I also ordered one of their mocktails which was essentially a raspberry lemonade, pretty standard and for lack of a better word, basic. I'd probably go with a real cocktail next time. Our waiter was friendly and made some good recommendations. My only con; I'm someone who doesn't mind spending on a good meal but Capa is a bit overpriced in my opinion. Though the food is good, I've dined at many places which offered similar or better menu offerings for a fairer price, but understandably, you're paying for the location too. Overall, I had a great experience and I would recommend, especially for a date night.
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I have been trying to get reservations at
My husband and I have been trying to get reservations at Capa since the middle of last year. Each time we would call for a birthday celebration, or holiday, or anniversary, we were told that we couldn't patronize the restaurant unless we were also staying at the hotel. Finally a few weeks ago we were able to get a reservation for dinner. In hindsight, I wish we hadn't.When we arrived at the restaurant the hostess brought our party to a small, square table for four directly across from the open kitchen. It was against a wall and honestly looked completely out of place. That entire side of the restaurant lacks the beauty and ambience that the lounge area has and it completely changes your experience. We asked if we could sit at another table around the corner that at least had a window view, but we were told that it had been reserved by another party. I took a mental note that apparently somehow you could reserve a specific table in the dining room, who knew?We ordered drinks and a couple of small plates: croquetas, pan con tomate with jamon and manchego, and pulpo. The drinks, the "In Spanish Fashion", "Buena Vista", and wine, were all good. My husband was specifically excited for the croquetas and pulpo, but ended up disappointed. The croquetas had no ham flavor and the texture was off-putting. The pulpo was chewy and rubbery, and the pan con tomate was ok, but the tomato topping was too sweet. For our entrees, I ordered the 8 oz filet and he ordered the short rib. We ordered the patatas bravas and mushrooms to accompany our entrees. My steak was cooked medium as I ordered and tasted good, but I was surprised at the cut of it. I am used to getting a thick cut of meat when I order filet at a nice restaurant, but this one was thinner and not as tender of a texture as I am used to. My husband got his short rib and to say that it was ALL fat would be an understatement. He kept cutting and cutting and each cut only yielded more greasy-looking fat. It was appalling to see the cut of meat that this "Michelin Star" restaurant was serving, for $68 no less. Is this not something that the cook (there can't be a chef back there) would notice when they are preparing the meat? Why would they send out what is essentially a chunk of fat to a patron? When the waiter came by my husband showed him the pile of fat on his plate and he took the plate away and said he would bring another. At that point my husband had lost his appetite and really did not want another plate, but they brought it anyway. It is interesting to note that the second short rib had a lot more meat and hardly any fat.The sides that we ordered, much like the apps, were disappointing. Patatas Bravas are my favorite potato ever, but these were NOT patatas bravas. They had a tomato sauce on them, but no spice whatsoever which is comical as "patatas bravas" literally translates to "spicy potatoes." The portion size was also hilarious as it wasn't enough for ME to eat, much less to share with anyone. The mushrooms tasted like boiled mushrooms, nothing special, no flavor. We ended the meal with two desserts: Pastel de Almendras y Aceite de Oliva and Valor Chocolate which were each very good, but again super tiny portions. The "icing on the cake" of this terrible dinner was the fact that we specifically made our reservations on a Saturday night so we could hear the Spanish guitarist during our meal, which I mentioned to the person that took our reservation. That person did not tell me that we had to be seated in the lounge in order to hear the music. We could not hear the music all the way on the other side of the restaurant, by the wall, in front of the literal flames of the kitchen making it at least 10 degrees hotter. All we could hear was the kitchen, and the "elevator music" over the speakers. So much for ambiance. Oh and the table that we asked the hostess for by the window? That stayed empty our entire dinner and was still empty when we left. I am convinced that Disney paid a pretty penny for that Michelin star, because there is NO way that Capa earned it. My advice is to go to Bull and Bear or KRES if you are craving a steak or Santiago's Bodega if you are craving tapas. Capa will just leave you disappointed and hundreds of dollars poorer.
Be the first to ReplyCapa's website portrays it as a "Michelin-starred
Capa's website portrays it as a "Michelin-starred 17th-floor rooftop steakhouse and bar" with an "open kitchen and wood-burning grill" that "boasts the best of Spanish-influenced cuisine in a romantic setting like no other", with a patio that allows diners to "enjoy views of the nightly fireworks". I do not usually include the restaurant's own description in a review but since they did such a good job in summarizing what this place is all about, here it is. We all know that Michelin came to town last year and bestowed four of our amazing Orlandian restaurants with stars. Capa was one of them. In their resume, Capa also has an Orlando Sentinel's Critic's Choice award for Best Patio and was a runner-up for Reader's Choice of Best Splurge. Orlando Weekly featured it at the top of its "25 of the most beautiful restaurants in all of Orlando" article. Who am I not to give this place cinco estrellas? Ambiance: whoever designed that vibrant-red piece of decoration that is attached to the ceiling, which refers to a Spanish bullfighter's cape, therefore "Capa", has excellent taste and vision. This added to the dark walls, the lightning, and the Jamon de Bellota carving station placed right in the middle of the dining area creates their architectural statement: "Welcome to our exclusive and refined, yet bold, Spanish-style steakhouse." Service: since we didn't have a reservation (big oops) we had to try our luck and hang around the bar area to see if we could be seated in the lounge area. I can tell you that the bartender wasn't pleased with the fact that we initially wanted to order 4+ plates at the countertop on a busy Friday night. Since "manifesting it to the universe" sometimes works, I decided to manifest a table and around 15 minutes later we were told we could seat at one of the high-top tables near the entrance to the balcony. I loved the location: as it was cold outside, seating near a glass door meant getting a peak of the 17th-floor balcony view without freezing. I definitely recommend arriving at the restaurant before sunset (gorgeous sunset) and staying until at least 8:15ish (when the Disney fireworks start) for double the entertainment. Food (disclaimer: we dined tapas-style so there are no descriptions of their entrees): Gambas (Shrimp, Egg Yolk, Chili, Celery Root Chips): a nest of celery root chips covering shrimp and chili-seasoned egg yolk puree. I wasn't a fan of the yolk-shrimp flavor combination but the shrimp was perfectly cooked. Not many people truly like celery (I do!) so don't get apprehensive to try it as the chips don't really taste like celery - they are light and crispy and have a slightly bitter taste, which paired well with the egg yolk puree. Pulpo (Octopus, Black Bean Hummus, Cilantro): the pulpo was well-seasoned but as it wasn't charcoal grilled - my personal preference for better texture and more intense flavor when it comes to octopus - the main star of this dish was underwhelming. Plus, I was not a big fan of the black bean hummus and seafood flavor pairing; the black bean hummus on its own with some pan rustico (see below) was a good combo though. Berenjenas con miel (Fried Eggplant, Honey, Queso Fresco): one would think that fried eggplant with honey and cheese is nothing exquisite, but this was a highly memorable eggplant dish. My friend and I both agreed that the eggplant's texture and the cheese's creaminess and seasoning were simply on point (I'm a sucker for eggplant and queso fresco, so maybe take it with a grain of salt). Aceitunas (Traditional Basque Marinated Olives): staple tapas side in Spain, so we ordered it for a more authentic experience. If you have had tapas in Spain before, you'll know what I'm talking about. Pan rustico (House-made Olive Bread, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Saffron Butter): I'm a sucker for fresh bread with high-quality olive oil so let's just leave it like that. And what a generous serving of bread. I'm planning on ordering their pan con tomate & jamon iberico dish next time for an even more authentic experience. Cheese Board (Chef's Selection of Artisan Cheeses): their selection of cheese - heart emojis for queso manchego - was balanced, but it would have been good if it came with a few more pieces of crostatas and slices of sourdough bread. If you don't plan to order dessert after the meal but enjoy a sweet bite after a meal this is a good option as it comes with dulce de leche and ginger jam. It also came with another staple tapas dish: almendras. Muy bueno.
