This place specializes in Spanish gin and tonics! My first time trying Spanish gin and tonics and they are so different from American ones. Very refreshing and subtly sweet from the tonic water, but they taste so good! My fave was the Cielo Azul! Ambiance: classy, elegant vibes and super cute! Service: bar tender was nice and knowledgeable. Definitely very solid drinks

Great food, service, and ambiance!! Cheesecake is phenomenal! A must try! I preferred the cow's milk cheese topper myself!
Be the first to ReplyThis is a little bit of a hard to find spot as you have to
This is a little bit of a hard to find spot as you have to enter through the plaza between buildings, and you won't see it from the street. There is a sign at the edge of 33rd street where the restaurant is but it's still a little tricky to find.Other than the personality of the hostess greeting us, the whole experience was excellent. We had a great server who was very enthusiastic about the food, though when asked specific questions about how things were prepared he didn't know a lot. According to him the kitchen would not reveal all its secrets, which is fine. The ambience and setting is warm, subtly lighted, elegant and beautiful. The restaurants was far from full so we had great attention and timing was perfect for all our dishes. The only dish that slightly underwhelmed were the oxtail brioche sliders. Patatas bravas, bluecrab salad, jamon iberico, calamari with squid ink aioli, artichoke hearts with jamon-all top notch, great presentation. I especially enjoyed the roasted pineapple with passion fruit maybe yogurt sauce? or creme anglaise. How they got the pineapple to take on that meaty texture I just don't know. The only let down was at the end of the night. I guess with Uber, Lyft, and all the other taxi services out there it has become verboten to even inquire about where best to get a cab or how to get a cab or even dare ask for help with a cab! Because the response I got from the hostess was as if I had asked her to go jump off the top of the building or something, just totally weird and unfriendly, so the closing vibe was not the best. But anyway, we will let that slide. It's worth it.
Be the first to Reply$95 pp tasting menu was a complete ripoff.
We got one ceviche, one mini slider, one salad, a shared paella and two desserts. Having fine dined around the city, this is def not worth $95 pp. the waiter was nice but the 5 course took 3.5 hours - don't know what's up with the kitchen.
Be the first to ReplyOverall, pretty good food!- Oxtail Brioche: Decent.
The brioche was surprisingly thin and crispy. Slider size. - Calamar Frito: Noticeably better than your average calamari. Very tender and not heavily breaded.- Crispy Broccolini: Just average. The flavors failed to shine through. I expected more as I'd had better ones.- Iberian Pork Feather Loin: Absolutely amazing! Juicy and tender, and extremely flavorful. I'd come back just for this.Beautiful restaurant! Service was professional but very rushed and rather curt.
Be the first to ReplyWe had dined here before and had a very different and more
We had dined here before and had a very different and more positive experience. We went here last night to celebrate my birthday and the service was terrible. When we first sat, they took about 20 minutes to get us our menus, then another 10 to get us a drink menu. Half of our appetizers came extremely late, right when the main course came. At this point, they should have asked if we even wanted them anymore like most restaurants. But they still rushed them over for us to eat with the entree. We then ordered dessert with three coffees and one tea. Dessert came with one coffee and one tea and it took another 20 minutes for us to get the other two coffees. We were expecting to have our coffee drinks paired with the dessert and had to wait for the drinks. Food was fine but the service was horrible for what is purportedly a high end restaurant. I had a terrible experience for my birthday. They had a table of 10 that was likely distracting them but that's no excuse. You would think they might comp the cheesecake for the bad service but even that they charged $16 for.
Be the first to ReplyService was terrible and made no sense.
For some reason food started arriving before we placed a drink order! it took the waiter 30 mins to take our drink orders while food was arriving really fast!By the time we got our first round of drinks we were on the 5th dish! I've never experienced a dinner where they deal with drink orders halfway through the meal. Especially somewhere that is trying to pose as a higher end venue charging pretty high prices. Anyways the black rice paella and ceviche were good but avoid this place because service was embarrassing.Food: 5/10Value: 1/10Service: 0/10 (yikes)Vibe: 9/10 (pretty space)
Be the first to ReplyGood tapas.
Nice ambience and a great place fo meet up with friends. What we liked was the restaurant was spacious and we did not feel we were on top of one another. The seafood paella was good but we have had better.
Be the first to ReplyWent for valentines day and it was sooo good.
The menu didn't exactly match what was on their menu so that was a bit disappointing. It wasnt a special Valentine's day menu either. None the less we had a fabulous meal and i cant wait to come back. Pretty reasonable in price considering the quality. Paella is a must and the tomato tartar is a must!

I visited Casa Dani a while back when I was in town for vacation and going to see Moulin Rouge. I brought my New York family with me. There were 6 of us. Everything about our experience was amazing. The food and drinks were delicious. We got different dishes and shared everything. Our server was one of the best I've ever had and I'm in the restaurant industry. The decor and ambiance is beautiful. If I lived in NY i would be there all the time. I wish there was one out here in California.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and service.
Elegant and pleasant. Delicious wine. The steak was very good. In the new Manhattan west area.
Be the first to ReplyWe waited 40 minutes for our main dish.
Bad service. Food is pretty decent but isn't worth the terrible service, too long waits, or the high prices. Would not recommend for people that want to get their food and not fall asleep at the table.

Pricey but quite good if you know what to order! Not a huge fan of the drinks here and for a restaurant this pricey, I would've hoped for better amuse bouche than olives, but otherwise it was pretty good. I would recommend the squid with ink sauce tapas (chipirones), the patatas bravas, the white fish entree (pargo a la plancha - amazingly delicious but crazy tiny portion), and the seafood paella (marisco - juicy and bursting with flavor, and the shrimp was super fresh). The oxtail brioche (which came highly recommended), tuna porterhouse carpaccio (also came highly recommended), and croquettes were okay but nothing special.
Be the first to ReplyThis location was fantastic.
Excellent customer service. Excellent cuisine. The music is fantastic.Anyone who enjoys Spanish cuisine should try it. It's a great place to go for a weekend dinner. The food was also fresh, flavorful and delicious.

My fiancé and I saw this place on Open Table and love tapas so decided to give it a try. So glad we did and we've already talked about going back! First, we loved the cocktails, especially the 5600 Miles, Piparra and the Canena Sour (which our waiter recommended)! The food was also fresh, flavorful and delicious. The oxtail and chorizo brioches, croquetas, fluke, and txuleta paella really stood out. Not to mention the space was gorgeous. Definitely recommend!

The resturant has a modern design and the kitchen is very clean. It is located off a food hall which seems odd. The anchovies tapas were amazing. The beef carpaccio and Tuna belly w avocado were delicious. The hit potatoes in a tomato mayo sauce were very good. Surprisingly, I did not love the paella rice with vegetables the delivery was amazing in a large pan but the rice seemed different than even in Spain. The rice felt like kernels and more crunch. It wasn't bad but not satisfying. The pork puma was very well prepared and delicious. The deserts were amazing the flan, French toast and rice pudding very delicious not a big fan of cheese cake. Total cost with wine for four people over $500 dollars. The place is not cheap but the food is very well prepared by a Michelin Star chef.

This place is one of the best Spanish restaurants in the city. We ordered the buñuelos de mi madre, croquetas de atún, and arroz con pollo. They were all really good, however the croquetas de atún and arroz con pollo could've been better. The croquetas' presentation was similiar to that of a nigiri, intriguing me to order them and see if they tasted as they looked. Don't get me wrong, all the flavors were amazing, now what I'm not sure is if they work well together. The arroz con pollo was also a plate I wouldn't order again, as the rice didn't have as much flavor as I would expect from that of a paella, but you could still notice the quality and chicken's excellent flavor. All in all, I'm giving 4 stars because of the quality, the vibe and the potential this restaurant has. Still want to go back.
Be the first to ReplyThe restaurant is beautiful and that's where it ends.
The diners are props in this scene of a restaurant. They should have used the design budget on developing the dishes. The menu reads well, however, doesn't match what is being served. We started with the oxtail brioche, tomate tartare, chorizo brioche, and then the paella (arroz con castilla) . All were pretty underwhelming. The paella was full of fat and gristle and all of us were chewing and staring at each other as we each politely pulled out gristle one by one and laid them on the side of our plates. It made us pause to think of the pork fat swimming in the rice mash. As far as the rice the preparation was "crack our teeth" consistency in a cooked brown sauce....quite not sure what the taste was. Again, had to pull out a few kernels that felt like small pebbles. We recognized a few thin sliced mushrooms so we then assumed the sauce was a mushroom base. Throughout the chaotic service there were occasional dishes crashing to the floor by nervous and unsure servers. We had these moments of laughter each time when this happened since one of our fellow diners was Greek and he said it reminded him of being at a recent Family Celebration. The service was herky- jerky. We decided to order desert to have something sweet to clean our palate. A rice pudding and "something" chocolate...both meh. We all agreed we spent just a little too much time there, paid the enormous check and went to Bar Pendry next door to recover. Our advise is to have Chef Dani come back, assess damage control, focus on food & service quality, retrain and relaunch. Their fate will be fading into closing and nobody will remember what was ever in that empty space. I know this review was brutal, however, in these challenging times we don't mind spending $$$ for quality. I was with close friends at Le Bernardin the night before which is a 6-star achievement, quality, pride, consistency. My two-night dining experience represented the sublime to the ridiculous in 48hours.

Gorgeous new restaurant in Hudson Yards! The interior design is perfect and everything inside is brand new and clean. We went on Valentine's Day and did the tasting menu and got to try several different items. The oxtail brioche was one of my favorite dishes. The tuna belly was also a favorite for not only the taste but also the presentation. Cute spot for a date night or girls night out - will definitely be coming back here!

Good service. Fantastic food. Awesome music. I would recommend to anyone who loves Spanish food. Such a fun atmosphere for a weekend dinner.
Be the first to ReplyI've been to a lot of great restaurants all over.
This place rates at the very tippy-top of the list. It's almost magical when every part of the experience hits right. As we walked to our table, the open kitchen caught our attention. Several paella's were being prepared. The aroma was invigorating. The Mediterranean décor was eye-catching.We were sat at our table and immediately were greeted by the GM Zach. Very friendly and funny. Our server Eddie was great. Every detail was taken into consideration. The cutlery, the atmosphere, the lighting, the menu. Every single component was thought about and was high end. It's hard to tell if the food was really and truly the best I've ever had because all the details before hand were exquisite. Everything was out-of-this-world. The Charcuterie board came out first and we knew then that we were in for something special. For appetizers we had Oxtail Brioche and Chorizo Brioche- equally amazing. The tortilla, a potato omelet, so simple but incredible flavor. Patatas Bravas were crispy and fluffy in the same bite. Our mains were the Branzino and hanger steak. I convinced my daughter (who notoriously dislikes seafood) that if she were going to try fish at any time in her life, this was the time. To her surprise, she actually enjoyed it and continued to eat it! This is how amazing this fish was. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. There isn't enough superlative adjectives to describe how good this was. From what I'm told, the steak was phenomenal. I didn't get a chance to eat it as my wife and daughter inhaled them!Don't get me started on the deserts. We ordered the cheesecake and rice pudding. It was unfortunate that they ran out of the cheesecake and the brought over a complimentary flan, which I was pleasantly surprised with. I've never had deserts of this caliber before. They were absolutely, drop-dead, DELICIOUS! There were so many reasons to come back to Casa Dani, most of all, the amazing deserts.I do have one regret though. I did not get a chance to try their paellas. This is fortunate for me because that means I have to come back! I look forward to coming back soon.
Be the first to ReplyBooked the restaurant for Valentine's Day.
The service was embarrassing. First they never told us that we would only be able to order from the $180 prefix when I made the reservation. Double checked on Opentable and there was nothing mentioning that. We were surprised by that so we took ten minutes to decide what we wanted to order from the fixed selection. They didn't even have paella as an option. The waiter hounded us six times within ten minutes when we were obviously still looking. Another waiter walked right into me by the bathroom without looking at me or apologizing. Just felt really disrespected during my experience here. I see why other reviews also said the workers are impatient, doesn't seem like an isolated incident. Pity because I saw this place on tiktok and was looking forward to the experience
Be the first to ReplyThis must be one of the most beautiful restaurants we have
This must be one of the most beautiful restaurants we have been to in a very long time. We got a beautiful round table which was a little larger than expected as we were just 5 guests but it was the most beautiful table in the house. We were immediately taken back by the happy and beautiful people surrounding us. We ordered about 6 appetizers to share and the fish and the black paella. Everything was outstanding. The service was impeccable. Our waitress kept coming to ask us if we were happy. We actually uncorked 2 bottles of wine that night which the restaurant allows, but really they have a beautiful selection of wines and cocktails there. The flan dessert was the best I've ever had. New York City desperately needed a Spanish restaurant of this caliber. I will go back many times and our guests were wowed. Congrats to Dani Garcia for this masterpiece.
Be the first to ReplyLong story short, abhorrent service.
Waited 40 minutes for our "entrée"/last dish after an unevenly spaced hour of tapas. Not one person checked in on us during those 40 mins, despite there being so. many. staff. and I finally flagged down a guy in a suit. Took us all of 20 minutes to eat the entree once we got it, have our table cleared, order and receive our dessert. We thought, great, they took the hint and are trying to hurry things along. There were literally 4 pieces of pineapple left on our dessert plate when - I swear to god - the same guy in the suit comes and asks us TO MOVE AND FINISH OUR DESSERT AT ANOTHER TABLE SO THEY COULD PUSH OUR TABLE TOGETHER WITH THE ONE NEXT TO OURS TO SEAT A FOUR-TOP. Turns out they were rushing to get us out of there and not because they felt bad for the 2 hours we'd already been there. The guy saw our reaction (we asked him to just get us the check because we were ready to GTFO) and comped our dessert, but the whole experience left such a bad taste in our mouths. Who cares if the food was good if the service was so, so ugly. There's zero chance Casa Dani will get a Michelin star with this service.
