I had Past experience, Sad to see it is closed, best carb and staek in town I'm not sure what caused the closure likely due to authentic material and lack of profit
Classy atmosphere, delicious food
I went as part of an organized dinner from a California winery club that I belong to. It was a set menu with wine pairings. I definitely was a great experience. Definitely an elevated steakhouse experience. Not just prime beef and sides, really w
I was in DC for a night and wanted a really good steak.
Charlie Palmer did not disappoint! There was street parking available, which was great. The restaurant is long with a wall of windows on one side. The tables felt more like seating areas than just a place to eat. The bar area was slightly elevate
Shame on me for NOT ever reviewing.
Charlie Palmer is near the Hill where I work and believe it or not, my co-workers and I used to frequent here often before the pandemic. Fast forward to this past Wednesday, my Big Spoon and I went early to enjoy Happy Hour before dinner. Our bar

I'm a fan! I've had this place bookmarked for what seems like forever, and all it took was a friend choosing here for a birthday celebration recently. I loved the ambiance. Very upscale! Amazing staff - everyone from the hostess, bartender
Excellent service and food.
Filet cooked to perfection. Upscale look but a bit stuffy. Very empty during our visit. Maybe best for a quiet dinner meeting.

We have a monthly luncheon at Charlie Palmer.
As usual, they put on an outstanding event for our group. We had a fixed menu and everything was served to order and delicious. The private dining room to the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend when you're up by the Capital.

This was a last minute decision to have a good steak and wow, did we score! We arrived during happy hour and had steak skewers along with lobster corn dog. Both were delicious!!! Drinks were an old fashioned for me and Bombay gin and tonic for him. O

Association Dinner
Restaurant was clean and we were seated on time. We had a large party and they had multiple team members serving our table. Food was what you would expect from the price point. Particular shout out to Isaac, Danny and Anna who did a great job of taki

I went to this rest with another business associate Its a steak house so I ordered a NYS strip for $78...plus a side veg for $12. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium. The steak was thick, however is was tough to cut with a knife...it was not co

Try the Ahi tuna and filet mignon
Another great meal here. No wait for a table for 3 at 7pm on a weekday. The ahi tuna and filet mignon are both excellent. Food comes out timely and the service is friendly. Drinks from the bar are also well made.
Birthday treat.
Possibly my favorite steakhouse experience of all time. I have been to Charlie Palmers three times. Every time we visit DC we make it a point to have dinner there. It's always an amazing evening.
Outstanding service and food.
Outstanding atmosphere, service and food. We were greated as if we were family and treated like royalty. Our server made several suggestions and each were fabulous. We ranged in age from 80 to 20 and everyone was equally impressed. The food is 5 star
Great Drinks/Lively Bar...
The Bar staff led by Larmar Lusk is stellar! Great drinks and a lively bar during the week when Congress is in Session! A real "DC politico" Spot.
Great environment and amazing food
We wanted our kids to experience a “fancy upscale restaurant” to start teaching them etiquette and manners. The staff at Charlie Palmer was able to be super professional and graceful at the same time. Deion was our server and I highly recommend h
Super disappointing.
I got the lunch special, which for me was a Caesar salad, a steakhouse burger, and a cookie for $28, expensive but not ridiculous if the food is good, but unfortunately it wasn't even close. The salad was two weird chunks of lettuce and a side thing
Phenomenal food.
Even better service. Everyone we encountered was fantastic. I was in from out of town with colleagues and they coordinated an opportunity to see the view of DC which was awesome for this first timer :-) We had a great lunch and hunch at the bar afte

They make us feel like home, welcoming, warming, able to enjoy our dinner peacefully. Our waitress Reda was wonderful and very tentative to ensure we were receiving good service. Food & drinks was excellent. We were ready to leave and they mentio
Avoid on Valentines if you want a steak
We booked as a family of 4 for dinner here. It coincidentally happed to be Valentine’s Day. Not that we thought that should have been an issue. However for Valentine’s Day (clearly motivated by profit) they removed the standard a la carte menu.
I came here for Valentine's Day and was left disappointed.
They offered a 4-course menu for $105/person. The flavor was great, but service and portion sizes left much to be imagined. My first course was oysters, which came out faster than I had expected and tasted great. My next course, scallops, took over 2
We ate here twice in one week because it was so good.
First time, mid week and less crowded. Every part of the meal was amazing, appetizers, cocktails, entrees and desserts. Second time was NYE and busier and some items were a little less than perfect but still good. Highly recommend.
