Packed on a Wednesday evening.
Pad see ew noodles way overcooked. I asked for some Thai Basil to freshen up the dish. $3 added to the bill for that. So, with 15% tip, total $25 Kind of pricey and not amazing.

Delicious food, great service, cool funky vibe for date night. Can get crowded (that means it's great!) so prepare yourself
Be the first to ReplyThis is actually my favorite Thai restaurant.
Anything I order from them is delicious. My favorite is the Pad See Yew or Chinese Broccoli with crispy pork. This time aground I had the combination fried rice and it was pretty tasty and filling, which is what I wanted. The wait staff is pretty quick. It's a small, cute place with a great vibe, but that means the wait time is prolonged. Well worth the wait though.

Their food is similar and closest compare to what I had in Thailand. The location is kinda small so there are limited seatings.
Be the first to ReplyLove the ambiance of this place! So cute.
We ordered a Khao Soi, pineapple fried rice and egg rolls. The Khao Soi and fried rice were great though the egg rolls were a bit lacking in filling and a bit boring. I'd still pop by if I was in the area again!

I wish I would've taken more pictures but everything about this place was perfect. From the food, to the service. Parking was kind of inconvenient but we figured it out. The curry was super flavorful & the crab wontons were really good. We went on a Tuesday night so it was not too packed but it is a fairly small place. You are super close to everyone. We order a few plates and we almost did not fit on the table. I would not recommend going with a lot of people, this is more like a 2 ppl thing or even a date with yourself! Must try

The food here is incredible and the prices for what it is are AMAZING!!! All the employees are always so kind :) Lives up to its hype and I 1000% recommend going if you're trying to decide
Be the first to ReplyThe food was standard.
Service was poor. Food was a bit overpriced but that seems to be the trend for new/upcoming restaurants. You really just pay for ambiance here.
Be the first to ReplyPARKING: The parking is a bit of a problem for me.
It's street parking as the restaurant is located right on a corner. I found parking about two blocks down which wasn't too bad but it started raining super hard. That was on me. SEATING: Super small seating, very tight. You will hear your neighbor's on the left and right and they will hear you. Although tight, it is very cozy. Upon arriving at 4:30PM, we were sat down in about 5 minutes. After us, it began to get crowded and there was a long wait as I saw people starting to wait outside. SERVICE: For a smaller place, they are not the most attentive but that's okay for myself. We didn't need much and when they came to bus dishes, that's when we asked for things such as more napkins, dessert, and the check. They did come around twice for waters, which was nice. FOOD: The food was fantastic! Chiang Rai Platter ($18.95) - shrimp blanket (2), egg roll (3), crab cheese wonton (3), and crispy gyoza (3) - This was really yummy! They were all crispy and hot. The sauces served with it were very good as well. My favorite was the egg roll and shrimp blanket! Khao Soi Noodle Soup w/ sai uao ($20.95) - this was described in the site as "a Northern-Thai curry noodle consisting of egg noodles and crispy egg noodles in a rich, creamy, slightly spicy curry - I've never had anything like this but it was so rich and stunning. Very flavorful and good mouth feel. I got the spicy and it had just the right amount of kick that I enjoyed. The sausage I added was sweet and savory which complemented the salty and spicy broth. The noodles were just perfect with the right amount of chew. It did unfortunately get saltier as the noodles dwindled which I did not like. Dry Khao Soi w/ chicken ($16.95) - noodles stir fried dried in the curry - I only had a couple bites of this version because I enjoyed the soup version more. It had the flavor but it didn't have that extra oomph for me. Didn't care much for it. Mango Sticky Rice ($12.95) - a staple and a classic Was so rich and so sweet from the mangos and the rice was sticky and delicious. OVERALL: Definitely will come back on a non peak day so I can feel more at ease. I did feel rushed but only because I could see people waiting and I felt a bit bad as the weather was not good. But loved the vibes, the service, and most of the food. I definitely wish the tables were more spaced.

We recently dined here and were thoroughly impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, showcasing high-quality ingredients and authentic flavors that reminded me of Thailand. Our server was friendly and efficient, ensuring our meals arrived promptly despite the busy evening rush. Although there was a 40-minute wait due to the restaurant's popularity, the quick turnover of tables kept things moving smoothly. While the ambiance was average and might not catch your eye from the street, the culinary experience more than made up for it. We indulged in a variety of dishes including roti and curry, fried chicken, shrimp red curry with noodles, shrimp yum soup, fried oysters, shrimp spring rolls, and plum wine--all of which were delightful. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

I can't comment on the food but let me tell you about the service... Today at 3:55PM, found out they aren't opened yet until 4PM. No big deal we go wait in the car until about 4:05. Yelp says they are open. We go back to the door and see the "Open" light is on but tried to open the door, it's locked. Confused I called, and asked if they were open. They lady says yes we are open then I proceeded to tell her I am at the door but it's locked. She rudely replies "we just open now okay!" I'm like okay whatever. Waited another minute for her to come to the door... she sees us on the sidewalk, with a annoyed look on her face, and proceeds to unlock the door. With us standing two feet from the door. After she unlocks the door, very sassily she just turns and walks away. I thought she would at least open the door for us and welcome us in as any human would do. Guess I was wrong. Knowing there are plenty of options and other restaurants that would appreciate our business we left to go eat at at another Asian establishment. To the rude lady with the blonde hair; the food industry is cut throat and you can easily go out of business. Be nicer to people who wanted to eat at your establishment. You're an embarrassment.

Been here twice this month already and it has become one of my favorite Thai spots. Everything tastes delicious especially their mango sticky rice! Love this place!
Be the first to ReplyWe went for an early dinner during the weekday.
Ever been wanting to try this place for a while. There wasn't a wait. Service was fast. Food was good. I like how they have a variety of food that some Thai restaurants don't have on the menu. The ambience is nice. We will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyLove love love this place.
It took me a while to find my reg Thai spot in LBC but this is the one. The have lunch specials from 12-3pm. The pad Thai is so bomb, the spring/summer rolls and peanut sauce is delicious. The papaya salad is so fresh. 10/10 must try!

We had a steamed branzino in chili-lime sauce that was absolutely delicious. Also had a couple of wonderful vegetable dishes including a spicy green bean with tofu, and a spicy eggplant with shrimp entree. Casual atmosphere, great food. We will be back.

I ADORE this place! The food was delicious and the ambiance is so fun. The decor is bright, fun, but not overwhelming. Only downside is there is only street parking but not a big deal.Had lunch here with my sister and husband on a Sunday and we all loved our dishes. We got the boat noodles, the midnight chicken with roti and curry, the seafood salad, and Khaosoi. All very flavorful and the right spice level. We also got the sweet roti for dessert, highly recommend. There was only one server at that time but he was very swift and attentive to our table. Overall great place and can't wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplyThai restaurant offering an impressive variety of authentic
Thai restaurant offering an impressive variety of authentic dishes, with Northern Thai specialties that you will not find just anywhere. My husband and I have spent a lot of time in northern Thailand (and actually been to Chiang Rai), so we were excited to order regional dishes like Khao Soi and Crab Curry. Delivery was lightning fast via Grubhub. The papaya salad (Vegetarian Som Tum Thai), had very little flavor, and a disturbing industrial bathroom cleaner aftertaste. I hate wasting food, and will power through nearly anything, but this was inedible. The same went for my husband's Khao Soi. The noodles were okay, but the broth tasted like stale rice crackers. No complexity, no richness, just bland mildly curried water. Yuck. My Crab Curry contained an entire crab, which was pretty cool, and he tasted good. The curry though, was gritty and so overly seasoned that it overwhelmed the delicate flavors of the crab. Maybe it was an off day, but this meal was inexcusably bad.
Be the first to ReplyReally cute street style Thai food restaurant.
We've gotten food here twice and both times were amazing. We have loved everything we've eaten here and the ambiance is so cozy. They even had dairy free Thai iced tea, which is a big plus for me. This will be our go to Thai restaurant in the area from now on.
Be the first to ReplyGood food + Good service.
Chiang rai is the Authentic Thai northern style food. One of My fav dishes is dry khao soi add Thai sausage, it's flavorful and not too spicy. Another one we ordered raw oysters, I normally not a fan of oyster but here they do serve the fresh ones with special sauce which is not fishy at all. Love it (:

Be the first to ReplyGreat ambience.
Food was delish. I just came back from Thailand three days ago and visited Chiang Rai. Visited my chiropractor today and told him about my trip to Thailand. I told him I enjoyed Chiang Rai. And he referred me to this restaurant down the street from his office. It was kismet because was I was craving Khao-soi! It was all so Aaayyy-Roy! I'll be back very soon and bringing my friends with me!
