A very pleasant Saturday
We hadn't been to this place for a while, having moved from Milan and with our family getting bigger. Now that our daughter has grown up we wanted to take advantage of the regional proposals for Saturday lunch and go back this time all together. Well what can I say, the quality and presentation of the food remained as delicious as we remembered, the service was courteous and attentive (a special thanks to Mrs Francesca) in short, an alchemy that also won over our daughter. We have already returned twice in the space of a month. I hope to see you as soon as possible!
Bistrot = tavern
We had dinner at Chic'n Quick choosing the tasting menu proposal, adding a supplement to have the wine paired with each course chosen by the sommelier. Nothing to say about the dishes, beautiful and delicious, a true taste experience that will always be remembered. But the service was mind-blowing, and in a place where 4 people spend €400 it is UNACCEPTABLE. We choose the menu with the """wines selected by the sommelier""" to have a complete experience, to have someone who can recommend a wine that allows you to enjoy a dish even more. A rosé is offered with the starter, for the first and second courses the choice is left up to us, since of the wines offered it makes no difference which one to drink. But in what sense? If I had wanted to take some glasses independently I would have done so directly from the wine list with a wider margin of choice. And then we are made an unpleasant and decidedly embarrassing comment for those who have to pay for dinner: we are told that we should have avoided paying the supplement for the wine chosen by the sommelier but gotten a bottle that we could have saved! Thanks for letting us know, we weren't quite there!!! Good wine in the end, absolutely, 3 people chose a red, a diner the white. But I repeat, we chose it, also because the sommelier wasn't even seen. The dishes were as good as they were poorly served. Having left the dish at the table, one could say "adios" to the waiter, who didn't even bother to explain the composition of the dish again. For every course we had to pick up the phone to find the online tasting menu and remember all the sauces and combinations designed by the chef. Water constantly having to be asked for even though there were less than 15 tables... how is it possible that not even once was it served to us again independently once it was finished? And I don't even want to discuss the fact that there were staff who didn't speak Italian because I personally feel sorry for the person in difficulty but it should at least be pointed out. But is it possible to have such unpleasant service in a starred chef's bistro? I repeat, if we had been for lunch at the restaurant on the main road, fixed menu 20 euros, no one would ever have complained. Bistrot does not mean tavern. You ruined an experience as well as a special occasion that deserved to be celebrated.
Service? Meh!!!
Contradictory experience at Sadler's Modern Trattoria; nothing to say about the tasting menu, well-presented dishes, well-balanced, made with excellent raw materials. The service, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. Very cold and inattentive welcome (coats placed behind the chair, as well as decreasing the comfort of the seat, are unpleasant to the eye); presentation of the dishes absent (at the table next to mine it was done by a lady who, unfortunately, did not follow mine), pairing of wines not always acceptable and above all poured into the glass without any, even minimal, presentation. From a restaurant, however, costing 100 euros per person, it is reasonable to expect more.
Absolutely worth trying
Welcoming, simple and elegant environment, Mrs. Francesca is very attentive to every need, the dishes, expertly prepared, offer a first visual experience for the combination of colors and the plating, but the taste experience is the real must, an explosion of flavors that blend while remaining recognizable and authentic, we definitely recommend it

Intriguing, seductive, excellent quality food; kind and welcoming service, portions that make you end the evening with that sense of satiety and satisfaction which, together with a not excessive final bill, make the evening special and... to be repeated soon! 😉
Embarrassing
Simply embarrassing! At "Sadler" one expects elaborate dishes, a minimum! Here is an appetizer for everything which is eloquent in itself.

The restaurant is located on the canals and is the bistro of the famous Sadler restaurant which moved to the centre. The place is quite welcoming even if the table setting is quite sparse and in my opinion needs improvement to make the atmosphere warmer in relation to the menu and the dishes served. The menu offers revisited land and sea dishes of excellent quality both for the products offered and for the preparation and presentation of the dish. Everything was excellent from the starters to the desserts. Definitely an experience worth trying but I recommend improving the layout of the room. Friendly staff. Prices in line with the quality of the products offered.
Top evening
Despite a location that needs a little tweaking, the cuisine is of the highest level and there is no dish that does not reveal the hand of a great chef in terms of its plating and goodness. All excellent and at a fair price. A place to recommend and to return to. Very positive experience.
Always very good
This restaurant, the Moderna bistrot restaurant by chef Claudio Sadler, in my opinion is on the list of unmissable places in Milan. Delicious dishes thanks to top quality raw materials and excellence in the kitchen. Andrea, the chef, is young and very good; Francesca and Gigi in the dining room make you feel at home, the proposals on the menu are interesting and do not disappoint expectations either on the dog or fish dishes. Unmissable are the oysters with mojito granita, the Milanese risotto both creamy and sautéed, the raw fish, the potato gnocchi with seafood carbonara and katsuobushi, the pan-fried fish or the duck breast. Spoiled for choice with which to pair one of the wines from the beautiful list. Price in line with the Milan market and absolutely adequate considering the portions and quality. Simply good. Seeing is believing
We would have expected a little more
The place gave us the impression of "I would like but I can't", but overall the atmosphere is very pleasant. Friendly staff, very polite and not at all intrusive. Serving ok, the cutlet was very good and the fish was good (although unfortunately not fresh). A good solution for when you don't know what to do at dinner.

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
