Cold place, my table without a tablecloth, erratic service, we piled up at the entrance due to lack of fluidity. The food is very x below many much more affordable places in Barcelona. The ppal partridge dish is a big mistake Slow and messy service, erratic . Better desserts and wine selection

This is destination dining. Other than our party of four, every table had solo diners, clearly serious foodies! We had the 10 course tasting, which was a lot of food but so well done. For autumn 2023 we liked the turbot and tenderloin (Rubio Gallegos) best. The 3 dessert courses were very unusual - fennel, figs and then a more traditional chocolate (although salted and quite savoury in taste). The wine pairings are very generous, one glass per course. Instead I ordered by the glass and the 2010 Priorat from Ferrer Bobet was incredible. Well worth its two stars (for food and service). A must do for foodies when in Barcelona.
Be the first to ReplyTrying a bit too hard to hold onto their stars. Felt forced.
A two star Michelin restaurant with an extremely creative menu. The setting is stark and plain, contributing to even more of the focus being placed on the food. While a few of the dishes were both beautiful and delicious, several of the tastes felt that they were trying very, very hard to hold onto their stars. The waiter made a big deal about how our experience would be a celebration of all five of our senses, but that was really the last we heard about it. The tastings were very nice, but they seemed to miss the mark a tad. The entire dining experience felt a bit forced.

We first ate at Cinc Sentis 9 years ago and weโre amazed. That was in their old space. The new space is beautiful. Starting with the visit to the countryside is a fun, unique way to start dinner. It just reinforces that you will have an amazing experience. Service was professional but warm and friendly. Everything we had was excellent and creatively presented. It was just an amazing experience.

The reception is a little strange. The restaurant opens at the last minute. Each table enters an antechamber with a welcoming ceremony around a glass of Vermouth and appetizers. At the table, attentive, smiling, available service. Tasting menu in 8 or 12 courses. Possibility of food and wine pairings. And of course service by the glass. A succession of delicious and beautifully presented dishes. Before each dish, a small descriptive leaflet. At the end of the meal, a small taste gift and a booklet detailing the menu, the wines actually consumed (including those taken by the glass), and the producers who helped create the meal. Unusual attention. In short, an excellent time

We went to this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was recommended to us by our hotel. The experience was incredible. We were first received in an anteroom where a waitress told us in French (our preferred language) the story of the chef and presented appetizers related to his story. After this step, we headed towards the restaurant room. This one is not very big, very sober but where all the details were well thought out. From the start we were impressed with the level of service. The butler had deciphered that we were not comfortable with the table that had been assigned to us (very close to the kitchen) and he offered us a change of table (without us having had need to ask). The dishes were delicious with a very high level of perfection. You can feel the chef's generosity on the plates. The products presented were of very high quality, seasonal and the cooking was perfect. We loved the creativity, both taste and visual. Each dish was preceded by a small explanatory sheet to whet our appetite.
Be the first to ReplyA technically excellent restaurant, with serious and solemn atmosphere
This was my first stop in Barcelona, and I am torn between giving them 3 or 4 stars. This was a very expensive meal, so I feel I have to hold them to a high standard. Visual presentation was excellent, and the flavors were very good with an excellent white asparagus dish, lobster tail, the beef with homemade garum, and the Torrija dessert. However, the atmosphere was excessively serious and sterile, with a minimalist environment. Staff were friendly, but explained every single ingredient in such over the top detail, telling me every flavor I would experience and even how each element would interact with the wine. I felt as was at a university lecture at times, and would have enjoyed just experiencing the flavors on my own. I will say their wine pairing was one of the best I have had at a restaurant like this. Entirely Spanish wines, a selection of unusual and rarely seen types that were very well matched with each course. The Galician Mencia + Lobster tail was sublime, and the cocktail at the end with dessert was quite special as well. Overall several very good dishes with a special wine pairing, but I would not return for the reasons above. Too serious, quiet, and too much explanation. On the food and atmosphere I would rank Cinc Sentits 3*s, but the wine pairing pushed it to 4.

From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left, this was an absolutely amazing experience. It was truly all five senses. The service was fantastic. Sommelier was wonderful. The food, all 10 courses and the wine pairing was indescribable. It was worth every penny. I have been to Michelin restaurants all over the world, including in Lyon, and this certainly is one of the most if not the, most memorable meal Iโve ever had. Thank you for an amazing evening.

I donโt know where to start! The experience from the outset was more than I could have ever imagined. The staff are absolutely incredible, very attentive and nothing is too much bother. Eric in particular is an asset to the team.We had the 10 course tasting menu with the wine pairing and it was out of this world! Each course is introduced and explained by little cards on the table and also by the staffโฆso you know what youโre eating and you know what is on its way to you. There was nothing I didnโt enjoy about the food - the turbot in particular was exquisite and the venison was also a highlight! An experience not to be missed if youโre in Barcelona!

I needed think a few times before writing this down..I can echo most of the reviews. Super attentive and professional staff. Very interesting experience and beautiful room. Dishes were interesting but didnโt blow me away. So all of my senses where touched but I expected the most important one, taste to be exceptional.

Incredible and amazing food experience. Of course everything was perfect and Delicious but I really enjoyed that they used local product and got the inspiration in the traditional Catalan cuisine.
Be the first to ReplySuper tasting menu with wine pairing
We did the smaller menu but added the wine pairing. All the wines were excellent, matched the food superbly. Food was outstanding too, everything beautifully presented and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the trout course, the pork loin was also amazing, as was the shrimp and the 2 desserts. Thereโs a pre-dining area where they give you an amuse bouche which sets the tone for the meal, bursting with flavour. Service was also awesome throughout, we had a blast. Nice mellow interior decor, fits the mood nicely. Definitely recommended for a nice occasion.

This was out first visit to his Michelin two-star establishment and we were not disappointed. Service was very good throughout our meal and the head sommelier was especially attentive. (We ordered a bottle of cava, a rare Spanish white, and an older, 1995 vintage Spanish red, all of which paired well with the wide range of dishes.) We opted for the large tasting menu and were very happy with the wide range of flavors and textures. Seating was comfortable and quiet.
Be the first to ReplyGreat but ....
Overall, yes a good meal. There were some standout dishes and some that were good but not outstanding. The amuse bouche were sensational. The explosion of flavor was unexpected. An egg-looking appetizer dish was also incredible. The rest of the meal was very good also but nothing sensational. The staff was all good, pleasant, and efficient but noticeably young which meant they lacked that experienced flair that a professional seasoned, waiter has. However one of the waiters was actually grumpy (the only one) not a smile came from him throughout the evening. He wasn't one of the younger ones, so he was an exception to my previous comment. Quite annoyed us, as you don't expect to see moody faces in a place like this. The room was very pleasant and minimalist. The wine pairing was very reasonable however the other thing that is baffling is you order a wine pairing but you don't actually get your first glass until your second or third appetizer. So we had to order a glass of wine each on top of the pairing to accommodate our starters. That's completely unacceptable and has never ever happened to us before in all the years we've been eating in fine restaurants with wine pairings worldwide. Where is the logic? You order wine pairing and you expect to get something with every course. Not good. Last thing that unfortunately left a disappointing feel to the whole experience. We asked them to order us a taxi to take us back to our hotel. The waiter nonchalantly said oh no if we do you'll wait for ages, go out and you'll find one. We thought that was odd but went outside anyway. This resulted in us walking up and down the street for ages, me stumbling on crooked paving, falling over, and spraining my wrist and ankle. Still no cab after 15 mins of trying, so we go back to the restaurant as I was in quite a bit of pain at this point, they called a cab and it was there in a few minutes. Why couldn't they have just done that, to begin with? Not the service you'd expect from a 2 Michelin-star restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyAnniversary Meal
My wife and I dined here for lunch during our wedding anniversary, joined by our eldest daughter who came on the trip to Barcelona with us. The experience lived up to our expectations - the food, service and ambience were all excellent. We have a number of dietary restrictions and the team was very accommodating (we had the lighter tasting menu). We also had one wine pairing, which allowed us to be introduced to some unique Spanish/Catalan wines. The experience lasted around 3 hours and weโd highly recommend trying it.

We went on our last day in Barcelona and are looking forward to coming back. The food is simply exquisite beautifully served by personable, friendly waiters. My only disappointment is a yearning for a garden setting to match the freshness and organic quality of the food. Maybe in the future?

From the initial check in to the exit it was outstanding. Every element of the meal was carefully choreographed and each course unique and wonderful. We went f or the extra courses and were full by the end although each element is small. Clearly the best meal we had in Barcelona. The sommelier is also very knowledgeable and steered us to unusual Spanish wine.
Be the first to ReplyThe Perfect Evening
We attended on Saturday 14th May to celebrate my partners 30th Birthday and it was the highlight of our trip. From the moment you enter you are treated with the highest level of service. The meal isn't just any meal its an entire experience. The dining room is simple, classy and calm. We were at the venue for around 3 hours and both agreed the time just flew as we were so relaxed. It was our first experience of a michillin star tasting menu and my goodness it did not disappoint. We decided on the shorter menu as this was described as equivalent to a starter main and desert which is normally just enough for us. The wine list was also very good, we decided not to go with the wine pairings as we tend to prefer white over other wines. The list had something for everyone in a range of prices. We decided on a sauvignon blanc that was โฌ38 which tasted incredible. Every course was beautifully presented, tasted amazing and was described eloquently by our servers. You could tell every member of the team were so passionate and loved being there. They made Aaron's birthday so special with little touches and we are so grateful for the evening they provided. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! Thankyou!

During the ISE show we organized a business dinner for 20 people. Staff and customers from 5 nations, all of us were truly stunned by the amazing experience we had. Outstanding dishes, perfect wine pairing, professional multilingual explanations for every course by Eric, the maitre and a visit at the end by chef Jordi. Non of us will easily forget this evening. Thank you so much and see you soon.

Following advice of the staff, we booked our table about 5-6 weeks in advance and the experience was very good. We loved the โcard presentationโ /messages of dishes to learn about more of the ingredients or the stories behind them. The food was tasty and made by seasonal ingredients. Staffs were friendly and service was good, so was the wine pairing.

A visit here is not just a meal out but an afternoons entertainment! Food so different, looks beautiful and tastes good to. The staff are lovely, attentive without being a nuisance and wine recommendations and explanations super. Would recommend but make sure you have enough time to savour all the courses - this is not fast food.

we placed a reservation on the waiting list and luckily got a table last minute. Right as you enter the restaurant the experience begins. A first amuse bouche an a little aperitif are served in a special designed room. You will get some informations before you are brought to your table. We didnโt get a menu but just some informations about the ingredients so that the different courses were surprises. For every course we got a little card informinag about that special course. Even though we have been to Michelin rated restaurants the presentation, the taste and the service were even better than we expected. Drinks and food are al locally produced in Catalonia and Spain. The wine pairing was the very best we have ever had!! I donโt have a single complaint, according to the experience the bill was absolutely reasonable. Last but definitely not least: with the bill we got a little booklet informing about the explicit menu, information about the wines served and some informations about producers etc.

This was the best experience I have ever had in a restaurant. I have been to a few 1 star establishments in the U.K. and this was well up there, not cheap but worth it! I am still dreaming of some of the best food I have ever tasted!

Three years ago, my wife and I had planned to dine at this Michelin restaurant. Unfortunately, Covid and other influences curtailed our plans. Finally, this past December we travelled to Barcelona and had the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful dining EXPERIENCE. And what an experience it was! Beginning with appetizers in a pre-dining area before entering the dining room. By the way, the dining room is designed in a manner that makes you feel there are only a limited number of tables (which is actually true, there are only a limited number of tables). The multi-course meal was exceptional. Jordi Artal is an artist in creativity. This Michelin two star restaurant is a must visit should you find yourself in Barcelona, Spain,
