Terrible and rude owner we ever encountered
We three arrived at the restaurant tonight at 9pm . A lady at the cashier greeted me and replied the restaurant is still open and told us that the operation hour is 10pm. We believe we could complete more or less there.
We ordered then and started to enjoy the meal.
Around 9:15pm, my sister-in-law need to send me back to hotel nearby to get the phone battery as the restaurant cannot help me to do so even there is USB port.
While we are away for 10min , the lady at the cashier , believed to be the owner of the restaurant , came to my wife and started pushing them to finish , while emphasising that they will close by 10pm.
It is still 35 min from the closing time.
My wife told her that we will be back .
While my in law arrived , she again came and put all the raw and cooked meat together.
Speaking in a rude way that the restaurant is closing.
Since there is no more guests in the restaurant , she seems to drive us quicker in order to close on 10pm.
I am writing this to let everybody know that
1. The lady is really rude and not eligible to be in the service industry .
2. She did not care about customer feedback and keep doing what she wants ; close on time even 35min before the closing time .
3. She did not care about the possible hygiene problem and meat contamination (raw and cooked) , in order to meet her timeline .
As an new immigrant , we are new to the immunity and like Korean food .
This kind of unprofessional behaviour did give us a very bad impression to this restaurant and of course , we will not recommend this to tourists.
It is a terrible experience we had ever come across in States.
P. S. We had lunch in an Japanese Shabu Shabu restaurant and the staff were very nice and helpful.

One of America s best bbq
The cold noodle soup is the absolute best! I couldn't finish it, and was not able to take doggie bag! Fresh vegetables, ban chan, and shredded scallions with secret dressing. Impersonal but efficient, quality service. We ordered bulgogi, and before grilling second batch, our pan was replaced with a clean one. We will be sure to come back, in spite of the overwhelmingly smokey environment. As another reviewer stated, what do you expect from bbq?

I always thought that Korean food (Asian food in general) might be better on the West Coast. Yeah. Not so much. The favors were definitely different from the ones back East. It wasn't as salty and so we had to keep dipping out dishes in a sauce. My colleague had BBQ while I had shrimp BBQ. Nothing special. Then we tried the house special, cold noodle soup in broth. The broth felt like slim and I didn't enjoy the flavor.
The place was crowded with Asians but it wasn't the best. Plus it's not in such a nice neighborhood. It's in a alright part of town according to the taxi driver. It's about 15 minutes from downtown LA.
Authentic Korean BBQ
Was in LA for business. A colleague's wife is Korean and we all went here. Very authentic--the place was full of Koreans and I was very happy to have a friend with us who spoke Korean and could order, because I would have been completely lost without her!
Nothing fancy, atmosphere-wise...but a delicious meal. We ordered a beef that we cooked right at the table. Delicious marinade. We had some noodles in a clear broth that ordered a nice cooling break from the spicier items. A huge range of things was served with our main courses--kimchi that had great spice, delicious soybean paste, and plenty of other nibbles.
Authentic experience and a fun night!
Great Korean BBQ and Cold Noodle Soup
This was our first visit and we were very satisfied with the quality of the food and the wonderful dongchimi gooksu (cold noodle soup). There isn't a lot of attention paid to ambiance and, as other reviewers mention, the servers can be a bit brusque but don't let that deter you. They do a good job of serving a big crowd and are helpful if you have questions. Definitely on my list for every visit to LA.

This is always an old fave of ours. Been coming here for over 15 years and its still the same. That's a good thing for a restaurant. Their bulgogi, kalbi and sides and cold noodles have never changed. The taste is great, portion size ok..maybe getting a big smaller BUT the price has definitely been raised drastically to the point that we are not too sure if its affordable for our family anymore. The amount of food hasn't changed really but the price per pound has and as always since way back when their service has always been a tad gruff and a no care attitude which is common for many Korean restaurants especially here because they get so busy they can care less if they lose a few customers. But LA has so much more good food lately especially Korean BBQ and buffets that are comparable and some offering just as high quality meat, so if we had a choice next time we are in town, we may skip this place..maybe just maybe..we tend to come back because of the familiarity of it. There's hardly any parking but if we go early enough we park across the street in their little lot where someone watches and you can tip the guy for keeping an eye out for your car. Not the safest looking neighborhood but all these years, nothing has happened to our car :) With that said, the meat is tasty, the soups yummy-beef bone soup is downright wholesome and the cold noodles finish and compliments the meat so much. But again the price...and the service :/ and the amount is decent but borderline not enough for hearty eaters..not buffet here..and its decent cleanliness, cramped, oily and a tad smokey but what do you expect at a korean BBQ place?
