Very good restaurant in central Oslo
We ate upstairs in the restaurant and not downstairs in the wine bar. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and given a nice table. The menu is given with a 5-course meal, and you can order additional dishes. We both ordered crayfish as well. All the dishes were extremely tasty and beautifully presented. Waiters were always present and attentive, and presented all the dishes in an exemplary manner. This was a very pleasant evening. Fantastically good food, and very good service. We will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyPiece of plastic in food, and terrible excuses
A couple of good dishes (langoustine, muffin and hollandaise was great) and a lot of mediocre ones, but overall good service from the waiter and sommelier. Found a big piece of plastic in one dish, the and the chef came out and made a total BS excuse, They did not even offer a glass of wine or strike anything from the final bill. Stuff like this is so easy to remedy, but I think this place thinks to highly of themselves. They definetly do not deliver food at the level they think though, some of the dishes are closer to any average hotel restaurant that something that deserves a Michelin reccomendstion. Would not reccomend or visit again.
Be the first to ReplyUnderwhelming...
Visited for an anniversary dinner on Saturday evenIng, after a recommendation by friends. Choose the 4 course option as we weren't hungry enough for 8 courses, even though the additional courses sounded better. The ambience, service and wine were very nice. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming. Considering the price (4 courses: 845kr) and the fact the kitchen are focusing solely on these dishes (no other options), I expected to be blown away. Disappointingly, not the case. The courses were: Amuse bouche: crunchy biscuit with pork paté (my wife couldn't eat her's). 1. Celeriac and apple dish - better than it sounds. 2. Cod, carrots, thick creamy sauce - not great. 3. Venison, potatoes, beetroot, pickled onion, red wine sauce - the best dish. 4. Chocolate mousse with oats and guiness - very average (my wife couldn't eat her's). A shame the food didn't match the atmosphere of the restaurant. I wish we had gone for a drink downstairs instead and therefore had the option to order individual dishes.
Be the first to ReplyCozy place, but…
Went with a couple of friends and our experience was positive for the most. The interior is very appealing and creates a cozy atmosphere. The food was good, but had a couple of flaws (lack of seasoning, overcooked meat) in some of the servings. Service could have been more attentive, with one waitress being rather rude than welcoming

Local joint with a consistently high quality kitchen for decades. Wide selection of wine by the glass. Always good atmosphere and friendly pro staff. Really love this place, never been disappointed. The food this time was tasty, well presented and balanced. Crisp pork belly with pickled red cabbage and potatoes was perfect, but strictly a christmas dinner meal over here, so we felt very christmasy prematurely. Check it out!

Great atmosphere and service
Good amount of food
But the food looks much better than what it taste. I would not come back for the food.
I guess this place is more about the wine pairing experience and atmosphere.
Anyway worth the try.
Extremely poor service
I just read on the entrance Michelin 2019- and based on the experience I would not believe it. Food taste was quite good, well more specifically- oysters - great, others- good/okay. Presentation of food,- oysters- great, others again - okay’ish. But the service! Wow! Havent seen in any fine dining restaurants that bad service. Actually havent seen that in long time even in fast casual. Some examples- champagne- served in ‘universal wine’ glasses. Unless specifically asked for Champagne glasses. If asked- be prepared to wait at least ~15 mins for them to polish the glasses (?). Opened bottle just goes away with the waiter after refilling? Dishes taken away without any question if all was okay. Main dish comes after more than 1 hour. N.B. At the time we were- it was not busy at all! Just a few tables taken. Also, after like 30-40 min waiter just approaches without any excuse to ask if we had reservation! Well we did say that already when being seated.. The same for any other approach by the waiter- no excuses, checking etc. Would definitely not recommend. Staff needs training asap.
