A meal I will never forget!
This was an excellent meal from start to finish! The servers were extra attentive and friendly and the food and wine were incredible. The scallops au gratin and linguine with lobster…oh my goodness!!
Love Da Giacomo whole heartedly
Love, love, love this place. The atmosphere is amazing, with an amazing vibe perfecto for a lively dinner with friends. Everything feels authentic and carefully crafted.
Promising menu and disappointing fare.
Da Giacomo has a charming ambiance and superb professional service. The portions are small and very pricey. The Zuppa di pesce was delicious and had a very refined flavor, but the fish was over cooked. I would highly recommend the gnocchi with seafood. The fritto misto was lightly fried but complete bland. The linguine with clam sauce contained only four tiny clams and a small swirl of linguine. Most of the portions were small by any standard, but especially given the prices.

EXCELLENT meal, made even better by the sommelier's suggested wine pairings. Every dish was more delicious than the last and the atmosphere was old school at it's best. I can't wait to dine here again!
Over Rated. Not worth it.
Seriously over rated and over priced. Quality of the food was not good. Had seafood salad to start, which was just OK. The Fritto misto main was over cooked and mainly batter. Vegetables were over salted and cold. There's nothing pleasant about the dining room itself which is badly lit. Definitely not worth the price.
Da Giacomo - Highly Recommend
Delicious food, exquisitely presented, attentive service all contributed to one of the best dining experiences for us. Thank you to the sommelier for his excellent and much appreciated wine selections.
Great dining experience and great food.
The service is a good balance of prim and friendly, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is "upscale" without being stuffy. For starter, we shared the snow crab, which was light and delicate. For main, I got the tortelli cacio e pepe with raw red shrimp, which was incredible -- the cheese was strong and liquidy, giving the tortelli the feeling of a rich soup dumpling, and the red shrimp had amazing flavor. My husband got the gnocchetti with shrimp, calamari, and langoustine. The gnocchetti was pillowy, the seafood had good bite, and the sauce was very tasty and rich in flavor. For dessert, we shared a sachertorte, which wasn't too sweet and had a nice subtle fruity flavor to balance out the chocolate.

The bad reviews have me mystified. We were here during Design Week and the restaurant was extremely busy. Nevertheless the food, the service, the ambiance were all excellent. We were seated on time, we had a leisurely dinner, the venue is beautiful. One of our best dinners in Italy.
The Most Disappointing Dining Experience...
We only had 1.5 days in Milan, and had never been; so we planned some of our culinary experiences based on Giada Delaurentiis's recommended 'must visit' restaurants. Da Giacomo's Milano was one of them, as was their spaghetti alle vongole. The description of the ambiance, food, and service sounded wonderful so we decided to add it to our list for the day. The host was pleasant and welcoming as we walked into the restaurant, and the charming, unique decor was just as we expected. Although the setting exuded elegance, as soon as we were seated, the grandeur of it all disappeared with the arrival of our server. He approached our table as though we were the biggest inconvenience. He then seemed to be more annoyed when we ordered only one course. The spaghetti alle vongole veraci was beautifully presented, delicious, and the ONLY pleasantry of the experience. Regrettably, delays in attending to our needs and lapses in attention to detail marred the dining experience. Despite the culinary offerings showing promise, the subpar service overshadowed our overall enjoyment. As seasoned travelers with a discerning palate, we have had the privilege of dining at numerous esteemed establishments worldwide and have never experienced service like this. In a realm where hospitality should shine brightest in an establishment like this, the service fell disappointingly short of its potential.
This place is excellent.
Good views of the duomo, nice place for an aperol spritz. The octopus and scallops were incredible. The veal was decent. Highly recommend.
Always have to go back to da Giacome
It's my second visit to this restaurant 8 years apart first time was 2017. Have to say it is the same & maybe slightly better. The location & view is spectacular. Nice bar , enjoyed their cocktails and then wine. Booking is a must luckily at the terrace overlooking the Dommo. Our waiter was overloaded so was not the best. Food was very good. Price reasonable with the food quality and the location and as a tourist attraction.
Stay away from this restaurant
The Giacomo restaurant was recommended by a taxi driver and I regret I did not read the reviews before booking. The place is a complete waste of money. Do not go there, there are so much better seafood restaurants in Milano. The food was below average for the ridiculously high prices and it was not of any special quality, preparation or size. The staff was nice but certainly would not recommend the place. The space between the tables is very small and not in line with any normal standards even for a fast food restaurant. The chairs are old and I almost broke my stockings as they kept being stuck in the chair cracks. The ambiance is non existent as it is a run down facility. The prices of drinks are even more ridiculous than the price of the bad food. Plus the crowd was a mix of Russian speaking possibly Ukrainians and other foreign tourists who just were ill advised.
A must to go restaurant in Milano
First time in Giacomo and YOU have to go! It’s beautifully interior with amazing food. Everything I had is to die for especially the Bomba dì giacomo. The service was amazing, very attentive. I will definitely be back again. Staff and Paolo, the manager made me feel welcomed and gave me an amazing experience.
Great food, location and ambience.
Additionally, the staff and in particular the sommelier was excellent.
Amazing old world italian restaurant in this location since
Amazing old world italian restaurant in this location since 1958. This place specializes in beautiful fresh seafood. They have an incredible wine list which is 47 pages and their manager/sommelier Francesco was very knowledgeable and helpful with american, french and Italian wines. Deserts were also some of the best I've ever had. We had lobster pasta, a whole Jon dory, saffron Risotto with scallops all were delicious.
Very nice dining experience
Last night in Milan and was hoping for something more classic and Milanese (previous night at Langosteria), Da Giacomo delivered. Solo travel/dining can be awkward at times but was made comfortable from the moment i walked in. Space is just great architecturally with small bar for aperitvo, high ceilings, soft colors and humble furnishings. Think best 1950's style bistro decor. Staff was welcoming and polite. wait staff was professional and glad to add recommendations on food and wine without being arrogant or pushy. fresh fish brought to the table prior to preparation, shell fish were fresh and entree prepared extremely well (if slightly under-seasoned...) Wine selection was great and enjoyed the waiter's recommendation to pair the food. Looking forward to a return visit and hope to have the same quality service and food
Never go back
We went to this renowned restaurant in Milan and ate a seabass Giacomo style. I remember being with them 6 years ago but today never go back. Service verybad and quality of food rare.
Got food poisoning and the restaurant blamed me and demanded I go to the hospital to prove it
The food was not bad, but then 6 hours later I had horrible food poisoning. We went to the restaurant as a party 6, and the 2 people who felt bad had both eaten the same lobster and nobody else had. In the evening I called the restaurant to let them know about this situation and it was one of the most unprofessional responses I have ever received. Instead of apologising, the person asked me if I had gone to the hospital and how I could be SURE it was lobster. When I explained the reasoning his manners didn't change. He said that to get a refund I would need to prove that it was a lobster. This topic of refund I had never brought up and was truly offended since I had just called to make sure nobody else experienced the same day I just did. If this is how little they seem to care about making sure that all their food is properly cooked and will not give people this type of reaction, then I would not trust them again. Truly unpleasant experience from a restaurant that positions themselves as being high quality.
A perfect Italian restaurant
My favourite place in Milan ! Just prefect. We had enjoyed our lunch as every time. Tradition, fantastic food, constant perfect quality. No disadvantages at all.

I reserve my five out of five star ratings for truly exceptional experiences and I can honestly say that this is one of them! I had heard about this a secret gem which is a favourite of many notable Italians and it was personally recommend it to me. It's tucked away on a small little street but the place gets packed every night and it's no surprise! The staff are so friendly and knowledgable and accommodating and you might even see a celebrity or two here! It's such a warm and inviting space reminiscent of an old Italian home.I have an incredible wine list and could even accommodate my love of a great Paloma. Their menu has authentic Italian dishes that were so comforting, flavourful and beautifully presented. We had a cute little amuse which was similar to a mini pizza slice not pictured here but it was delicious! Their bread and olive oil selection is complementary and very tasty indeed. You can even add more truffle to your dishes tableside!I had the mixed grilled vegetables with the Fishermans stew which was absolutely exceptional! For dessert I had the most delicious chocolate tart ever and my dining companion had an equally delicious tiramisu. We were both so impressed overall. I would highly highly recommend this place.

* FamousStation67 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FamousStation67 for any questions Peter may have as FamousStation67 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FamousStation67 now uses their connections at Da Giacomo Milano to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FamousStation67 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FamousStation67 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FamousStation67's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
