Mediocre food for the price
Dabble is the restaurant at the Conrad where we were staying. We were pretty underwhelmed in general. We had a breakfast credit for each day so we took advantage of that but otherwise wouldn't have chosen it. The hostess was lovely and friendly (and welcomed us back each day), and the staff was generally attentive. It's really the food that fell short. The breakfast buffet wasn't anything special. A good variety to be sure, but tasted like it'd been hanging out a while no matter what time we went down. Ordering from the menu wasn't much different. Those potatoes were so sad! I will say we ordered a charcuterie board and hummus plate late one night, and they were both pretty good. The charcuterie was small for the price but tasty, while the hummus was a good portion and delicious. A little mixed for us - we'd pick somewhere else in the future (unless we had a credit).
Be the first to ReplyMandatory 18 percent tip and overpriced food
Be aware of the mandatory 18 percent tip. Also, the food is extremely overpriced. One bowl of cereal, two bananas, a coffee, and a bagel with jelly and cream cheese was over 60 dollars once the tax and mandatory tip were included. I'm not kidding. I had to look at the bill twice. The hostess was very nice but said the 18 percent tip was mandatory.
Be the first to ReplyNo atmosphere and outrageously expensive
The prices were definitely for business expense accounts. $34 for a glass of NZ Sauv Blanc!! Breakfast was average and twice the price of the restaurant around teh corner.
Be the first to ReplySo many better choices! And so very overpriced!
Apart from being beyond overpriced — as in beyond New York City luxury hotel restaurant overpriced — the food is nothing special. Service is nice enough but management is another story. They do not fully understand the value of good customer service. We have stayed at The Conrad Midtown (where Dabble is located) three times in the last six months. Good customer service should be offered regardless of that but one might think our repeat business would make us at least a teeny, tiny bit worthy of a better customer service experience at the restaurant. After our visit today we realize our loyalty means very little. In short, as frequent visitors to Manhattan, we will no longer be staying at The Conrad nor dining at Dabble.
Be the first to ReplyReasonable for Hotel food
Staff very friendly. Food was pretty good, not great. Service was brisk (as requested) cocktails good and would revisit. Great location, as we were going to funny girl and needed a quick meal when most were fully booked.
Be the first to ReplyReasonably good overall
It’s located in the Conrad Hotel on 54th street and 6th. Service was slow. Drinks are expensive and the food is overall ok.
Be the first to ReplyYou Need A Lavender Martini Pronto
Paul and Nichole you are superb bartenders. Those lavender martinis were everything this beauty needed before a night out, each night. Paul has such a mesmerizing glare and smile that is so warm and hard to come by along the east cost and warmed my heart. Whatever magic he worked on that martini, it's a hit. Highly recommended. Pricing is typical bar pricing in a hotel and on this side of town so don't let a little cost keep you from temptation on the tongue ladies and gents.
Be the first to ReplyA Memorable Evening
My husband and I were in New York to see The Music Man. We parked at the Hilton so we can see the tree before. Someone who works in the Hilton suggested we go for dinner at Dabble. We were not disappointed. Yes it was pricey but it's New York. My husband's Steak Burger was cooked to his liking and he loved the fries. My Shrimp Crusted Salmon over Black Rice was delicious. I wasn't crazy about the shrimp crusted topping but the salmon was cooked medium and I enjoyed it very much. Our waiter was very attentive, he would appear when my husband needed another drink. For dessert we couldn't decide whether to get the Cheese Cake Souffle or the Chocolate Decadent but in the end we both went with the Cheese Cake. The waiter came out with our cheese cakes and to our surprise, the Chocolate Decadent, which he said was on the house. Wow, you don't get attentive waiters like this every day.

Be the first to ReplyGood Breakfast
They offer buffet or a la cart. Very good choices and varieties for the buffet. Worth the price. My favorite were the pastries.
