Daisy's Cafe Looe Reviews from The Last Year
Well worth a visit
Called in for breakfast, in a quiet road away from the main street but we were lucky to get a table, a sign of a good reputation. Had 2 full breakfasts and a veggie version, very friendly attentive service, bring drinks order while you decide your food. Well cooked, massive slabs of granary bread. Took a huge Cranberry and orange scone home for later, different flavours each day. Dog friendly (they get a treat too)
Great ply
Popped in for breakfast. Wanted somewhere off the main drag. So glad we did. Very welcoming and friendly and to top it off breakfast was fantastic defo recommend.
5* Breakfast & Cream tea. Well worth a visit.
This place couldn't come more recommended.. up the hill off the main street.. i've just had the most amazing ginger scone served with lemon curd and clotted cream. As a chef myself having made 1000s and probably eaten just as many in my time..I can honestly say hand on heart, it was the BEST I've ever had. Also had breakfast which was also probably the best in town. Will definitely be returning when next in the area.
Hidden Gem
Amazing food, great portions and really friendly people A hidden gem 3 meals and 3 drinks for less than £25, excellent value too
Bijou and interesting spot.
Lovely little bijou cafe. Interesting 70/80’s decor. Sandwiches, jacket potatoes and cakes. A bit out of the way , but worth effort.
The food is frozen food re-heated.
The service was good but the oysters and shrimp might have been from Costco.

Just had breakfast at Daisy Dukes and found the service to be friendly, the food selection diverse- something for everyone, price point lower than other restaurants in the area, but the portions were larger and more tasty. Also the food came out within 5 minutes. Myra our server was very sweet and attentive. Will definitely come back.
The food is very good, nice portions and well seasoned!
The food is very good, nice portions and well seasoned! Great fast and friendly service! Nice cozy environment
Had the Eggs Benedict and it was great.
Claudia was the best server. Kind, friendly and prompt! A+
Had shrimp and grits.
Huge bowl. Thought I wouldn't be able to eat them all but no problem. 2/1 Bloody Mary nice!
Breakfast with the dog in Looe
Best breakfast we've had in a long time. Eggs done perfectly and the fresh bread was fabulous. Portion size was very generous too! The dog was spoiled with sausages on arrival and it's now his favourite place!
Hidden fees, overpriced, scant serving.
Two for One Mimosas, yeah right....Look at the tiny print in hard to read color at bottom of the menu...They added $25.00 "service fee" to the bill...The 3 of us were shocked at the bill! $93.00!!! Some lady walked by as we were waiting to get in, and she was saying all this bad stuff about the place to all of us as she walked past...She was right! No good, shady!!
A Highlight
This is a little gem of a cafe. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the decor is a delight, and everyone leaves with a smile on their face. The ginger scone with lemon curd and cream was simply gorgeous, served with a lovely pot of tea. Perfect!

Kids loved it!! Looked rough from the outside, but bigger than expected inside. Pancakes were delicious and kids couldn't stop talking about them.
Lovely little place
Lovely little place and very friendly owners. We nipped in for a breakfast when visiting Looe. We were lucky to get the last table as there is only 5. The owners were extremely friendly and the food was great!!
Excellent cafe
We finally got to try this cafe out and we were not disappointed. Upon entering we were greeted and welcomed with a warm smile, the owners were extremely engaging and conversation was natural. We had already decided beforehand what we were going to order and we were not disappointed. We had heard that the cream teas were a must so that’s what we were having. Having sampled many many cream teas during our extensive stays in Cornwall we just had to try here (finally) And we must say after 45yrs of travelling to Cornwall annually, this little gem of a cafe has produced what can only be described as the perfect scone, there was absolutely nothing that could be said against it, and boy were they big!! We will without doubt be visiting again very shortly for another cream tea fix. Would we recommend here? most definitely and you won’t be disappointed 👍👍

Just okay: tables were dirty and our server just took a napkin to sweep the crumbs onto the floor (and chairs); we were seated immediately but our orders were not taken for a long time; food was served quickly and was good but not a lot to write home about it. The servers were very pleasant but not attentive. Our party ordered pancakes and bacon, gumbo, and red beans and rice. The portions are generous and we couldn't finish the food. Was good enough but can't say we would go out of our way to recommend it.
The food was decent actually for a to go order.
..however the bartender who helped us was just straight up rude and impatient. We ordered our food at 6:45 and their hours said they were open til 9. We walk in to pick the order up at 7:30, he says they're closed sorry, there were people still eating and their sign said open...I said I'm picking up an order that I placed...he says ok...he gets irritated as we sit waiting for the food, I tell him hey I'll pay for the order now, are you able to split the check? He goes we don't do split checks around here there's a sign that says it somewhere on the door and walks away from us...ok no problem...the team still hadn't flipped the sign to close and more people were coming in, I get it! I do but do your part as a restaurant flip the sign and change your hours! But damn be at least nice to potential future customers! We were the last ones to leave and it took almost an hour from time placed to leaving to get our food. I just would not return here due to the lack of hospitality and the uncomfortableness that the bartender and the other staff created. They made you feel unwanted and bothersome as a customer at 7:30 at night when their website states they close at 9.
Great food and service
Enjoyed a lovely breakfast here with my son today. I ordered the vegan breakfast and when they realised they had no vegan spread they went to the shops to get some. Very attentive service and delicious food in a very cosy setting.

One star feels harsh, but I really can't justify another star. The place was nearly empty, and I was seated immediately, and my coffee came quickly. I decided to treat myself to one of my guilty pleasures: Chicken fried steak, eggs over easy, hash browns, and a biscuit. As I waited for my food, two of the staff members sat at a table and listened to something on their phones, loudly enough that was my background noise mixed with the background music. My food came out quickly enough, and the server who brought it was very nice. I watched her wait on another table, and she really was very pleasant and engaging. But my food - so....the chicken fried steak was okay-ish at best. It definitely had a " frozen food section" texture to it. The hash browns were my favorite style - shredded potato, and nicely browned. But they were so chewy and "frozen food section" in texture that I really didn't enjoy them. I mixed them with the gravy and the egg yolk, but...chewy. The eggs were fine - just eggs. But overall, the hash browns and chicken fried steak really were about what I would have expected if I had taken a box out of my freezer and warmed them up myself. I was not checked on as I ate, so I was never offered more coffee. The coffee was okay enough that I would have enjoyed another cup, but between the two watching their phones and the friendly server trying to eat her own breakfast, I didn't get asked. The friendly server did move around a bit, but always found a path through the tables that didn't go past my table. Now, I will say that the biscuit was really very good. I work downtown, but don't treat myself to restaurant breakfast very often. So I walked around and passed several places as I tried to decide where to eat. Daisy Dukes has at least two places in the CBD, one in the Quarter, and another location with a slightly different brand on Poydras. I've thought to myself that they're trying to dominate by flooding the market, but, somewhat randomly, I still settled on this place. There's another restaurant right next door, and I wish I had gone there. Or to the other 2 or 3 options in the immediate area. With all the great reviews I see here, I have to wonder if I picked a bad day (but frozen food is frozen food) or if most people are just used to fast food breakfast. Actually, fast food breakfast is usually a notch or two better than this.
Best breakfast in town
Best breakfast we've had for a long time. The ingredients were lovely. Friendly atmosphere. I would give it 10 all day long. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic little place
This was the third time we have eaten at Daisys cafe. Whenever we visit Looe, we make sure we have lunch there. We were greeted with a warm welcome. The food was tasty and very good value. Jess (our dog) was given two little pots of sausages, a lovely touch, which she gobbled up. We highly recommend.
Best cafe in Looe
Lovely little cafe just off the main drag in Looe. Well worth finding for the great breakfast and lovely bacon and sausage sandwich. Even a sausage for our dog as we arrived. The owners are so welcoming , fantastic atmosphere, everyone chatting together, will definitely be back.
Tori was our waitress and was very friendly.
Good food. Came for breakfast. Full restaurant. Apparently Sunday morning isn't as crazy busy as Saturday morning.
Fabulous cafe. Don't miss a visit to Daisy's.
Fabulous cafe with amazing food and friendly service. We had two granary sandwiches which were made fresh to order and huge portions! Lovely selection of drinks and teas. Highly recommended.
Hidden gem - well worth a visit!
Such a lovely little cafe and the welcome was so friendly. We had delicious home made scones, jam and cream and some of us had the tea cakes which were equally yummy. Would highly recommend seeking out this little cafe tucked away a short walk from the main shops - definitely worth visiting. p.s The dogs loved the complimentary sausages!!
Everything was awesome.
Lisa was our server. She was fantastic. I got the seafood gumbo and a bottomless, bloody Mary and it was incredible.

Our breakfast was amazing! The homemade pancakes were to die for. The best part of Daisy Dukes Cafe was the service from our server. Claudia's exceptional service was attentive, friendly, and made our dining experience truly enjoyable. Claudia is true asset to the restaurant!

Eggs were overdone but the biscuit was outstanding and raises this rating. Simple, quick, reasonable prices, that's all I needed before heading to the airport. I'd love to be able to give 4 stars but c'mon man, any cook should know how to cook eggs, without making them well done. Everything else was good.

I had the biscuits and gravy this morning, expecting a biscuit, covered in a sausage gravy. What I got was gravy soup with bits of biscuit in it. I am not exaggerating about the amount of gravy, as you could not see the biscuit pieces. I just wish I would have gotten a photo before I started, as it is not like anything I've been served before. I fished some biscuit pieces out, which were good. However, here it is dinner time, and I cannot even imagine eating. My friends each had breakfast sandwiches. One on a biscuit. The contents of the sandwich were too big for the crumbling biscuit and she ended up eating it it with a fork and knife. My other friend order his on toasted wheat, and it showed up untoasted on whole grain. Both were served with packets of mayo and mustard. (Do people really put this on their breakfast sandwich?) The bathroom was in bad shape. My recommendation is to go to the Street Car Cafe next door. Sorry, I hadn't intended this to be a poor review, but that is what came out when describing my experience.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
