Bed and Breakfast let us down!
The ambience of the hotel was lovely and just what we expected and it gave a really sophisticated luxurious feel. We booked a 'Classic King' room and so we were expecting a King size bed. The description was misleading as the bed was a double and certainly not a king which was very disappointing seeing as my partner is 6'3". The room itself was lovely as was the bathroom so couldn't fault that. We had drinks at the bar which we enjoyed. We had breakfast in the morning and it was shocking !! DON'T waste your money!! at £20pp Really poor selection of old tired looking fruit I had barely half an avocado spread thinly on my sourdough bread and then found a grey hair on my poached egg so was unable to eat the rest. When I brought it to the waiter's attention, they didn't offer to replace it. My partner asked for porridge to start and then a cooked breakfast to follow. They brought everything out together so had to send the cooked breakfast back as it would be cold by the time he ate it. Then when it was brought back out it was the same plate of food a bit warm. We had to summon the staff over as we weren't being served and waited at least 15 minutes to even get a coffee and then again another 10 minutes when we wanted a refill. All in all shocking service and really poor quality breakfast and experience. We did however get the breakfast fee knocked off the bill and also a small refund as the bed wasn't as described

Absolutely fabulous hotel, oozes luxury, cosy atmosphere, staff and customer service topnotch, great choice in both bar and grill for everyone, even at busy times they managed to find a table for us in the bar, have stayed many times and always my first choice.

What a fantastic stay ! Staying at this amazing hotel again it really is one of the best we’ve ever been to. I planned to propose to my girlfriend and had spoken to the hotel a few days before asking if there was any chance of upgrading the room. Unbeknown to us when we then entered the room they had put us in the best suite in the hotel, complete with complimentary champagne. All the rooms are so well appointed and luxurious but this one was another level. Just stunning. The staff are all genuine, friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. They make you feel special and further enhance the experience. The bar is modern with a huge range of drinks. The restaurant is relaxed with amazing food and service. Thank you Dakota Leeds for making this the most amazing stay ever. Getting engaged is a special moment and you made it something we will remember forever. We are already planning our next stay and having experienced all that the Dakota is really can’t imagine staying anywhere else. As a side note, whilst the hotel knew we were getting engaged and so staff were aware I have to say that we have felt equally well looked after whenever we have stayed here or their Manchester hotel. They go out of their way to make this so much more than a night in a hotel. Having stayed in many hotels in this country and around the world this is one that I know I will keep coming back to when I want a special hotel break. Thank you for making our engagement something truly special.

This the second time we have stayed at the Dakota Leeds, its a beautiful hotel. We stayed in a signature suite and it was gorgeous. Immaculately clean, high quality furnishings and all the staff were very polite, nothing too much trouble. We wouldnt stay anywhere else when we are in Leeds

We stayed using the lazy Sunday package, which was great value for money. The hotel was lovely. The room was clean and well decorated, the bed was comfy, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks in the restaurant and bar were amazing. I would highly recommend.

We stayed as a Mother’s Day and birthday treat, and had a junior suite. The Sunday lunch was really good, great service too. The room was just beautiful and luxurious, the bed was super comfy. The mini bar was well stocked too. Breakfast was nice, the sausages were a bit burnt, and the service wasn’t as good as the Sunday lunch. I had to ask for toast and extra tea. Reception staff were all welcoming and friendly. The hotel has a really nice vibe. Was first time staying at Dakota, and would definitely return. Thanks for a lovely stay!

After a stay at the Dakota I felt the need to let people know about the excellent customer service they provide, on arrival the concierge Dave took our car away to their parking facility while the receptionist Gabby took our details which she did in a friendly efficient manner, didn't get to meet the house keeping staff but the room was spotless and attention payed to detail, we decided to dine out that night but had breakfast the following morning where we was greeted by Alister who was friendly and informative, Conner took our order and made a point of asking if we had any allergies,, breakfast was of very good quality and service was excellent, reception staff on check out were again friendly and efficient, by the time we checked out which didn't take long, Dave the concierge had retrieved our car and had it waiting at the door for us, I can't praise the members of staff enough they are excellent hospitality ambassadors, if your looking for a stay in Leeds I would highly recommend the Dakota for a good night's sleep and customer service

Be the first to ReplyFantastic stay in the stylish, comfortable Dakota hotel
Such a lovely stay at Dakota hotel in Leeds. Came up to visit our daughter at UoL. It is excellently located within a 3 minute walk to the station with all amenities close by - restaurants, cafes and shops. The hotel, although a little dark but that’s the style, is extremely chic with a lovely, comfortable bar area and attentive waiter. The rooms are really lovely, very stylish, spacious and clean. We had room 905 which had a good view over the city too. The shower was excellent and the superking bed was extremely comfortable. Only comment to make was that the toilet is surprisingly too low and fresh milk left in the fridge for beverages would be nice. Otherwise an excellent stay and we’ve booked to stay again for our daughter’s graduation in July.

We keep returning to Dakota as their food menu is great and executed to the highest standards. Had another amazing experience here on Sunday. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef and a big thank you to the staff looking after us. Special mention to Daisy, who's provided us with a five star service. We'll be back soon for more.
Be the first to ReplyNice but not amazing!
The hotel is nicely decked out and the rooms are a good size. Tea coffee and a fridge, beds are comfy. The check in experience was minimal just hello, we take a deposit and here is your key. No mention of breakfasts, check out times, where the lift was etc. We were checked into an accessible room, we asked to change and they did this straight away. For a Thursday night in Leeds I think £199 is steep for a bed and no breakfast. I know it’s the “best” hotel in Leeds but we stay away a lot it’s just another nice hotel!

Brilliant stay for my partners 40th birthday. All the staff were welcoming and made our stay extra special from the moment we arrived. Thank you again for the extra special touches

Stayed here for two nights. From the moment we arrived until leaving everything was excellent and could not be faulted. It was my wife’s birthday and the hotel staff made a real effort to make it special for her. The rooms are stylish, well kitted out and furnished well with a luxurious feel. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and a blanket provided in addition to the duvet. The bathroom is well stocked with toiletries and has an excellent shower with rainfall and traditional shower heads. We were early arriving and our room wasn’t ready so we left our bags at reception and went out for a wander and some lunch. When we came back our bags had been transferred to our room which was a nice touch. We ate in the restaurant in the hotel on the first night, taking advantage of the set menu for £45 each. This was five courses including a chateaubriand steak. Each course was perfectly prepared and presented. The service in the restaurant was superb by all staff but a special mention for Charlie who looked after us really well. Breakfast was plentiful with a choice of both continental and cooked options. Again the staff are superb and make sure guests are really well looked after. Both the hotel bar and Salon Privè have a lovely atmosphere with a range of cocktails, beers and spirits at typical city prices. The hotels location means there are loads of bars and restaurants close by. Check out was smooth and efficient. Mariusl looked after us really well here and made sure everything was correct on our bill (it was!) The hotel exceeded our expectations throughout our stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends or go again ourselves

Best hotel in leeds by a mile. Brilliant bar and the rooms were so so clean! But what made the trip really special was the staff especially Dave the head concerge - from the moment we walked in the front do he was so friendly and accommodating. A real credit to the hotel and a nod to good old fashioned service. Will definatly clme back here.

I stayed one night in a Classic room which was spacious, spotlessly clean with a great rain shower. Very quiet and central location, less than 10 minutes’ walk from the train station, restaurants and the Grand Theatre where I had booked a show. Very comfortable bed with good choice of pillows. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I will be back when next in Leeds.

Great hotel. Stylish, all mod cons. Room was amazing. Most comfortable bed. Ever. Ate in the bar and grill. Was really good food. Nothing was too much trouble. Valet parking is a must. The only slight criticism is that the reception staff aren’t very friendly. It’s more transactional than welcoming. Will definitely come back.

This was a great hotel - right in the centre of Leeds, yet so peaceful and calm. We stayed 2 nights - the bed was so comfortable and no noise/disturbance. Room was a standard double, with a fab shower. Cocktails very enjoyable! Staff were all friendly and professional. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay in a Dakota hotel again. Thank you for a very relaxing stay.
Be the first to ReplyComfortable and calm. Would stay again.
Great location. Well presented clean hotel with polite staff. ( eg Mike, Laura, Dom) Efficient valet parking service. We had a Classic Double Room, which was very good.Comfortable bed; sharp TV and excellent shower. The control was not just under the shower - it was on the opposite wall, so you can adjust it without getting wet with very hot or cold water. The tray was a bit shallow so water may spill over onto the floor. (This seems to be a common problem in many hotels, with a half glass screen and insufficient slope to the drain). Main problem was the heating could not be adjusted and there was no other means of ventilation. We could not find any "vent" in the window, that would have allowed air in and put the heating unit off. Thankfully, the temp appeared to go down itself at night (Hotel central control?) so we could sleep, although the gauge still stated 26C ! Spacious breakfast area. General low lighting in many communal areas outside the lifts with motion sensor operated lights. This may be a problem at times, but overall leads to a calm ambience and easier on the eyes than bright or glaring lighting. Of course, energy saving too.

Checked in early and there was no problem, room was fabulous, came down for a few drinks while the mrs was getting ready for the night and was served by Tom, the bar was busy and he was making drinks on his own, great service and very polite, I was served by sydney and Oli and service was fantastic! Defiantly will return! Thanks guys 😊
Be the first to ReplyFantastic weekend trip. Highly recommend Dakota, fantastic location for all the main Bars in Leeds. Excellent cocktails
Very slick booking in process, hotel is immaculate- as are the staff who are efficient and friendly. We were encouraged to both download the Dakota App which we did and this gave us a total of £20 which we spent on Cocktails at the bar. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

Great meal at the Grill in Dakota hotel in Leeds UK. Even better was the excellent advice on wine and food choices and the overall first class service we were given by George. Thank you George for your professionalism and making sure we had a wonderful evening. Superb!

Another trip to the Dakota in Leeds for the weekend. Amazing boutique hotel, in the city centre. Fantastic bars, restaurant and a lovely suite but best of all are the friendly staff who take care of all your requirements and always remember us! Big shout out to Dave who is always so helpful and friendly, above and beyond! ! See you again soon

Visited Leeds for a friend's birthday and also to celebrate our anniversary. Really pleased we picked Dakota. A welcome glass of fizz at check in was appreciated. Our room was stylish, clean and comfortable. The mattress was very soft so beware if you need a firm mattress. Dined in the restaurant and the food was excellent. It wasn't as romantic as we hoped (pet hate: children on devices without head phones) made it feel more casual dining which does not reflect the food on the plate, prices or service. We had brunch on the terrace which was very nice too. We still had some things to do in the city after check out and the hotel stored our luggage. I have no complaints about this hotel and I can be quite fussy. Considering Dakota Edinburgh next time.
