Damn Good!
Sorry no pictures, just got into town and I inhaled both the meal and the cocktail, each was Amazing! I had a Daisy Cutter as a cocktail, which was very refreshing and the Rigatoni Bucatini. Very filling and freshly made and very delicious. Robin was very helpful and spot on with her suggestion for a cocktail and Rochelle was a great server and very welcoming. So please visit if you are in Seattle.
Be the first to ReplyPrime location and great staff
The location in Pioneer Square is fantastic, the food and drink delish, and the service was out of this world.
Be the first to ReplyI've been coming here for years... What happened.
I have been to Damn the Weather many times over the years, my experience last night was unbelievable and the response form the owner Bryn solidified my decision to never spend a dollar here again. We arrived around 6pm and sat at the bar, chatted with the lovely couple next to us. Decided to order a couple a drinks while my DSM looked over the menu. Our bartender/server Roki Han (not hard to find when others have had similar experiences) did a great job getting us our drinks and we order the duck fries and burgers and did not see her after she took our order. My burger was red and she never came back to check on us (very different from the other people sitting at the bar that received constant service) i asked the other bartender if she could let her know that my burger came out pink but it had been over 20 minutes so i would just take the check. She finally came back and immediately was combative, called me entitled and told me to F*** off. All i said is next time check on your checks after the food arrives. She continued to escalate the situation as my DSM was trying to deescalate the situation. So we just asked for our checks after she told us to leave. She hands us our checks and my Manager asked her to split the check because he needed to use his business card for the food and not alcohol and she immediately says no and throws the check at me and tells us to leave. I asked to speak to the manager and says she's the manager. This entire time all i could think of was why is she being combative towards me the one person of color at the bar and felt that this behavior was okay. Also when you work in the service industry in Seattle its not hard to find someone that treated you like sh**.
Be the first to ReplyGood place for a quick bite and some beer
Tasty food is the main reason for 4 stars. Place is small but cozy. No kids menu. Not an extensive menu but there are options for most. I ordered the ratatouille flatbread and although the filling was superb the dough was undercooked. Also, it took long to bring the main dishes and there were cobwebs on the top windows.
Be the first to ReplyExquisitely friendly!
Visiting Seattle for the first time, weโve been impressed by how friendly and welcoming everyone has been. Tonight, we noticed Damn the Weather and saw people enjoying drinks on the outside patio. We had already had dinner but decided to pop in for a drink and went inside where we were given a cozy table. When the menus arrived with dinner items we realized we might be a liability if we took up a table for just drinks and asked the waitperson if we could stay but said it would be OK if she declined. To our delight, she said OK to hang out for drinks. The draft beers were great, the atmosphere was amazing and the next time weโre in town weโll look to have dinner here. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality! You make Seattle proud.
Be the first to ReplyMore than just Bar food.
Went for lunch and dined at the bar. Bartender was very friendly and helpful with food choices. I had the beet salad and Pan Roasted Halibut with Bok Choy, yum! Cocktail was great. Location is also good, would eat here again.
Be the first to ReplyFun Place
I can imagine this place would be packed on game days during baseball or football seasons. We caught it at a quieter time. Great for lunch with lots of menu options and cold, cold beer.
Be the first to ReplyNice atmosphere, exacting pours
Cozy bar atmosphere in the Pioneer square area. The pours were exacting not generous. One tablespoon of whiskey was left in a bottle and the bartender reshelved it rather than fill the shot glass to the top. Pricey cocktails should be more generous.
Be the first to ReplyGotta love the name
Happened to be in Seattle last week during a heat wave which is not usually the weather that drives locals to drink. The restaurant is located conveniently near the starting point of Seattleโs Underground Tour in Pioneer Square. The menu keeps it simple but interesting. The house specialty mushroom pasta is delicious โwide noodles over shiitake mushrooms, crispy kale and chunks of feta. The cocktail selections were enticing but we passed because we wanted to focus on the tour. Service was fine.
Be the first to ReplyHigh quality
We found this place a bit by accident. It was not clear what it was from Google Maps which called it an upmarket gastro pub. We looked at another place nearby but it had sports on large screens and a barman there recommended Damn the Weather. And we are pleased he did. Great room with high ceilings and both excellent food and drink. I have always been intrigued by American Biscuit as opposed to the British type and they had a fine example. My daughter had cauliflower burger and my wife a pork salad. Both also excellent. The beer was extremely interesting and unusual too. Very well done place.

Noted to bar โmanagerโ that the menโs bathroom had no soap to you know wash your hands with soap vs say rinse n wipe...his yea whatever dismissive response prompted me to head to the exits and certainly avoid making any finger food order - enough said.
Be the first to ReplySurprising find
We visited Seattle for a couple of days after our cruise. We happened on this place after an underground walking tour. What fabulous food and service. My husband and I split a burger and fries-so delicious and cooked to perfection. I also had a glass of Melaric Le Tandam. Red blend. Easy to drink. Our server at the bar was friendly and well-informed. She actually made us a list of must-visit places in the city. If youโre in Seattle, find this place and enjoy!
Be the first to Replywe weren't even allowed in
In Washington state, there is a law which states that children (under 21s) are not allowed into bars. Now, this is good and all but instead of qualifying as a food counter and having liquor provided incidentally to standard food service or having a bar section and a restaurant section, Damn the weather decides that the demographic of people with children doesn't provide income. Never fear though there are many good restaurants in the area so don't be discouraged. All in all, if you are one of the thousands of young Seattle is know it's fine but don't go here if you are traveling with children or are under 21.
Be the first to ReplyReviews got me in, but I won't be back
This place reminded me of so many restaurants in Portland. But the food was nowhere near the quality. Ordered a beet salad, that had maybe 10 pieces of arugula and 1 tablespoon of quinoa for $16, a bit overpriced for 4 beets. I ordered their halibut, it was overdone, for $34 for a small strip of halibut, it should be outstanding. The service was okay, not great, pretty basic. FYI It's a small spot and very loud.
