The views are excellent and the crowds are minimal in the designated dessert party area. But the desserts themselves are super sweet, so sweet that you should wash it down with water aha

We had reservations for the 9pm showing of the World of Color a few nights ago. We've seen the show before and have even had a dinner package that got you preferential viewing of the show, seeing that the Dessert Party provides a table and SEATING at the event, we wanted to try it out. We were served a dinner sized plate of several different sweets, plus cheeses, grapes, and crackers, and were offered our choice of soft drinks, water, adult beverages, coffee, hot chocolate and tea. The desserts we were served were a gingerbread macaron, a pumpkin spice bundt cake, a three chocolate cheesecake, a raspberry filled butter cookie, a mickey shaped rice Krispy treat. These desserts were just bite sized morsels. If you're a sweets person, I think you'd like this. The service was good. Our server came to our table often to bring our party drink after drink. We were also provided with to-go boxes to take away whatever we had left over after the show. As for the bill, the cost (which was lofty for what we ate) was paid up front when the reservation was made, so we skipped this step in the whole process. This was good because we were sitting basically outside in the dark. The atmosphere was nice but it was a cold evening. As for the show itself, we were sat at a predetermined table due to the size of our party which wasn't very centered for the show, and there were some holiday decorations that were in the line of sight blocking the view of the show partially, BUT having designated seats for the show made it enjoyable. Would we go there again? For the desserts- no. For the seating- yes.

I booked the World of Color Dessert Party years ago for my first viewing of DCA's then-new show, & I wouldn't dream of doing it another way since. Guests have a couple of similar options for the best chance at viewing this spectacular end-of-night show. You can get into one viewing section by buying a dinner package with a pre-show meal at someplace like Wine Country Trattoria. A picnic lunch package will get you into another space, & then finally the dessert package, where you scarf down delicious treats & watch the show in real-time. You have options! While I've tried them all, this is probably my favorite. So many fun, creatively designed & decadent sweets & treats!

I was doubtful about booking this experience because of the price and mixed reviews. I almost cancelled our reservations because I wasn't sure the experience would be the same as before Covid. But because it was our anniversary, I decided to keep them. I'm glad I did because it was amazing and worth every penny! Addie was the CM who took care of us and she did an amazing job! She made sure our drinks were refilled as well as brought us new ones up until the show started. The selection on the dessert plates looked smaller, but was still very filling. We had enough leftovers to fill two boxes to take home. We did not get a bread basket like we did in the past, but just ask for extra crackers and a CM will bring them to you. The drinks were excellent!!! I had the Hot Chocolate and it was one of the best I've ever tasted. We also ordered the Cherry Breeze (similar to a Shirley Temple), which is non-alcoholic. We also enjoyed the Rainbow Spritzer, which has tequila and colored sugar around the rim. Our nine year old daughter received a Glowing Drink Globe, which put a big smile on her face!It was so nice to be able to sit, relax, eat and drink before the show started. And of course, we sat comfortably during the show too! So for $89 per person, for us it was totally worth it and would definitely book it again! We did sit at a high top table, which gave us more height to see the show. But honestly, I don't think there is a bad place to sit during this experience.

Was doing an adult day at Disney and wanted to splurge on this and have an assigned place to watch. We got to line up and were checked in while waiting in line. We waited quite some time, and my feet were killing me by then. We were offered a front row low table or a high table farther back. We asked which was best and were told low, so we took it. Unfortunately I don't think it was the best choice. There was a LARGE area in front of us where people could stand (general public) and stand they did. We couldn't see as well as I hoped. I wish we had taken the tall table. The food and drink were tasty and service was good. Our plate had way more desserts than I could eat, cheeses, crackers, and came with unlimited drinks (hot drinks, cold drinks, alcoholic drinks). The server spilled a hot beverage on someone on the table next to us, which caused a big commotion, medical personnel, managers, etc for quite some time. I felt terrible for all parties involved. The show was fun but I wish the view was not obstructed. For the cost we paid, it was a disappointment.

6-26-22 oh my goodness! Doc always finds the newest and best experiences for us to enjoyFirst class for sure. You check in by the Grizzly water ride in back of the Little Mermaid. There are two showings and we had the later one to give us enough time for dinner at the restaurant at Pixar Pier. You need to return at a certain time to join a very long line then escorted to your table. We had excellent seats in the front but far enough back to not get extremely wet by the synchronized musical water show,Your table server will bring you your boxed desserts since it is a dessert party event with soft drinks too. Once the water show begins you'll be in a dreamy state mesmerized by the dancing waters and images of characters like the Little Mermaid, Woody, the balloons from Up and more. The desserts are super sweet . I liked the cylinder shaped chocolate Layered dessert the best, the Brie and crackers too,I might suggest you take the rest back to your lodging to eat the next day to avoid sugar overload, The generous bunches of grapes were good and sweet too, Its amazing to see how many people reserve to attend this World of Color dessert party. Bring a light jacket cuz once the sun goes down there is a chill in the air.Every now and then I could feel the mist of water. I can imagine the people standing 15 feet or more in front of us were rained on for sure.
Be the first to ReplyWorst seats ever.
They put us right behind two high top tables and we could see nothing. I expected the dessert and alcohol to be bad and it was - but I thought we would be able to see the show. We did not see anything except peoples heads and mouse ears. It was horrible. Don't pay for this.

If you can get reservations to this, do it! It was such a relaxing way to see World of Color. And even though the desserts weren't mind-blowing, the portion size is pretty big, and they're not bad. The viewing area is amazing, and the workers are very friendly. I loved sitting while watching the show after a long day at Disney!

Alright, so I took off a star because cast members did not organize this well. We were let in to our dining area AFTER general colors were being let in, which meant some crisscrossing between us in certain pathways. Not only that, but cast members seemed to be leading people in different directions due to bad communication. This was just minor annoyance that I expect to be ironed out for an $89 per person price tag.Other than that, you are let in right at 8pm, seated either at a high top table with directors chairs or a low top table with folding chairs. If you have a small party, you will be seated with another party. Dessert and cheese plates are served almost immediately after being seated, and drink orders are taken. Desserts are really sweet, so I wasn't too big of a fan, but I was fond of the tequila drink after the first sip. Also, the cheeses were pretty delicious.Your view is directly in front of the show, so no wonky projections here! It's also nice to be seated for the duration of the show. If you want a (mostly) hassle free viewing situation for World of Color, definitely consider booking this Dessert Party as the convenience itself will be worth the cost.

First off let me say I am a huge Disney fan so this review is not biased because I dislike Disneyland to start off with. On the contrary, this review could be a lot worse if it weren't for my affinity for this place. That being said...I feel a responsibility to let those looking for an honest review to know a fatal flaw of the World of Color dessert party that ruined the night for me. You may or may not share a table with complete strangers but pay the same price as a couple who lucks out with their own private table!!That's right, you will be paying 80$ to watch the show whether you're assigned to a private table, or sharing a table with another couple. That's right! The lucky ones who don't have to share a table are paying the same amount as the ones who have to split their !!cocktail sized!! table with another couple and that is what happened to us. The fact the Disney is being so greedy and maximizing their profits by using this underhanded and unequal booking process is so disappointing to me. In my opinion, the number of tables (much like an actual restaurant) should be the number of bookings they will take, and not overbook themselves and fit in multiple parties on the same table. I contacted Disney Food and Beverage department which was so disappointing because of how unapologetic they were about the matter and true to their word, that nugget of information IS in the description on the website... IF you expand the very last bullet under the "things to know before you go" section. So you know they are HIDING that condition because they know people may not purchase the package if they know upfront that they may or may not have to share a TINY table with complete strangers. So just know before you go that the serious dollars you are dropping on this experience may or may not buy you your very own table especially if you are a party of 2.
