Worth the Hype (ex EL Bulli)
Cool venue , passionate kitchen staff serving original dishes to a high standard and fairly priced .we had a great evening overlooking the cooking area . Omg they work hard . Lots of English spoken . Good wine list ,although many wines I wasn’t familiar with. .
Be the first to ReplyAn interesting experience
They had three tasting menus: 75; 85 or 120 Euros. But you can also order a la carte. We had the 85 Euros tasting menu. Overall, the food was creative and beautifully presented. But in terms of taste, it was not memorable. The services were very professional and efficient. Overall, this visit was an experience, and not sure whether we would go back.
Be the first to ReplyTapas bar with pretensions
Scarce portions bordering on the ridiculous, correct service, friendly and correct staff, correct product and cooked with pretensions with a very improvable result. Exorbitant price. We made 6 dishes and a bottle of wine, almost €200, and they didn't deign to change the cutlery even once. In Barcelona there are better options, we will not return
Be the first to ReplyVery improvable
Although the service is very correct and the waitresses are very friendly, the quality-price ratio is exorbitant. Skimpy portions and dishes that are not surprising, nor are they particularly tasty.
Be the first to ReplyIn the footsteps of antiquity
"Mediterranean cuisine" is given as the style of this restaurant, which is correct, but it ignores the fact that it is about ancient Mediterranean cuisine. The dishes are Roman, Etruscan and Phoenician inspired, and the home-brewed garum is used in several recipes. Everything is served more or less tapas-style, here: portions to share, so that you can try a whole range of dishes. The open kitchen allows a view from some tables: everything is sparkling clean and professional. When ordering and choosing wine, the chef himself gave helpful and friendly advice. And, yes, not everything tastes as usual, but it is still excellent. My favorite was the snails on grilled marrow bone, my partner was enthusiastic about the platter of "cured" (dried, salted, smoked) fish.
Be the first to ReplyMichelin star once maybe. 2024 better of at McDonald’s
Bland food and staff with a very negative attitude. Seldomly do I complain as sometimes we choose a place and it’s not to your taste but when the staff say you ate the food so why are you complaining, according to the manager Laura I am in the wrong!
Be the first to ReplyPretentious, outdated and arrogant staff
Pretensious, outdated and arrogant staff We went for a dinner at this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. It took a while to get served, but they were busy. Be careful when choosing, the description on the menu gives more information out the history of the food than the ingredients. Dull and pretentious. The first course was fine, the wine average and a bit over priced. The second course of “Pork mask” was made up of bits of a pig’s facial skin, including ear and nose cartilage garnished with pig tongue. Despite the long description of the ingredients by the waiter (Really? Most decent restaurants stopped doing this years ago), we sent it back as it did not match the description on the menu. The waiter was clearly unhappy and behaved like a child. We ate the rest of the quite average food and paid, including for the pig’s skin which we had sent back. There was no deduction for the pig’s skin and the staff were rude and quite agressive. I guess this is because food is often sent back and they cannot afford to refund all unhappy customers. Don’t eat here, there are so many better places where the food, wine, service and prices are better and so much more in tune with relaxed eating out now. The worst is the arrogant service which really lets the restaurant down.
Be the first to ReplyArrogant staff and bad food. Will never go back
I heard about this restaurant a while ago and ended up having dinner with my friend. There are some dishes that are not bad, but the food is (expensive) and very scarce and most of the dishes were inedible and the presentation was not successful. Especially the suckling pig, which they brought us (presented) on a kitchen chopping board, the dish basically consisted of the skin of the pig's face with the ear cartilage, all of it stuck to the chopping board, and part of tongue cut into small pieces presented in a small bowl on top of the same cutting wood. That had nothing to do with what the menu said. And when we mentioned it to the waiter Billy and told him that we don't feel like eating that. He became indignant and left saying that let's see if the kitchen will accept it. afcaurse, at the end of the dinner witch was just after that moment (we didnt dear to order more things), he made us pay for it. It seems like a scam to me and I would never return to that restaurant, where the service is overbearing and the food is very poor as well as quite bad. They want to do something too sophisticated but they lack a lot of push. It's normal for a business to bet on something that at the end of the day the client don't like...but if they don't admit it, it's then a bigger mistake. Because in the end the sale always depends on the consumer witch is the consumer. And not the other way around.
Be the first to ReplyRacaneria bordering on the ridiculous
Frankly, they tease us more and more, I ordered four things, monkfish liver with sour apple, neither fu nor fa, the correct oyster, the steam act was unnecessary, then I ordered a ring of bolets, they told me it was porcini, I got a rather tasteless rossinyols rice and finally the pork mask, it was good, but a portion so meager that it bordered on ridiculous, the best was the dessert sorbet, in short 70 Euros, less staff in the room and kitchen would be appreciated and more level, some restaurants in Barcelona are lucky with tourism, otherwise it is not understood.
Be the first to ReplyMandatory Restaurant
Great restaurant, fun, different, daring, with excellent service and a sensational product. We are talking about Dos Pebrots, where you can enjoy any Mediterranean recipe from any country and from any time, it is the idea of the place, to make your own recipes from all times of the Mediterranean Sea. Simply exceptional, to try and enjoy.
Be the first to ReplyEmperors new clothes - Michelin have made a big mistake
I feel awful writing a negative review as it’s a business and people’s livelihoods, however I’ve never had a meal where I actually feel someone is about to jump out with a camera after the meal to tell me I was being punked! Firstly I really respect Michelin guide so decided we would have a treat as in Barcelona to celebrate my mothers birthday. The busy restaurant was a lovely setting and the waitress was superb. But there all praise stops. We had a leek dish and artichoke dish which were average is you like cold leeks and tiny greasy artichokes. The squid dish was appalling, very thin slices of raw squid floating in tepid oil with a sprinkle of paprika. There was one delicious dish which was a gnocchi and mushroom dish, recommended by the waitress. Then the comedy highlight, pig nipples! These were true to description, 4 flaccid cold circular pieces of pig skin served with a small glass of salty stock. Truly one of the worst things I’ve ever eaten. Served on a ceramic upturned pig the image of grease running down the ceramic pigs arse crack will haunt me. For the main meal we had lamb and flat breads. The lamb arrived, a greasy lump surrounded with a few onions and peppers. The flat bread was one stone cold flatbread sliced into quarters. The ingredients for flatbread’s equates to cents so it’s just mean that one single flatbread was provided! We then ended up with a 77 euro steak, it was easily 50% yellow fat and even though I like rare steak this was so raw it was blue, cold and the fat was not rendered down. In total this evening cost £277 as we quickly left with no deserts ordered. I’ve NEVER had a bad experience in a restaurant recommended by Michelin but there clearly is a first time for everything. Sorry to all involved with this restaurant but this was a joke!
Be the first to ReplyMajor disappointment
They claim to have an "innovative twist ". Let me explain what was the twist 1. We booked a table for 3. We arrive and are being sited at the table for 4. The waitress looks arrogantly at us asking if we were only 3 as if it's our fault that we couldn't make it four to meet her expectations 2. We were told that the minimum order is 6-8 dishes per table. Ok, we ordered 7. The waitress told us we could share. What a surprise when we were served 21. 7 multiplied by 3. I got a meat kebab, because my friends ordered one and we get three per table. I'd never ordered it because I don't eat meat. I asked to take it back and it was still included in the bill. 3. The food was good, but when you are forced to overeat you can't really enjoy it. I am very disappointed. I like the concept of the local cuisine and preserving traditions but can you ruin the whole thing with this attitude to your customers?

First night in Barcelona and the staff helped us navigate the menu and ordering. Great service. Food as well and the suggested wine worked well with the meal.
Be the first to ReplyA top level food experience
My husband and I ordered some 6 dishes each to share from the a la carte menu professionally and lovingly prepared either in the open kitchen or by the friendly waiters at our table. A wonderful show! Exceptional food, good wine recommendations and great service! A must try!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent recovery of reformulated historical dishes.
A gastronomic space of Mediterranean cuisine and part of its history while enjoying modernized dishes cooked with care and excellent results. All at a price for special days but fair. Friendly and informative attention to the project and quality dishes and products.
Be the first to ReplyFlawless service , food to take your tastebuds on an international adventure.
How to begin. I walked around and saw this place was packed. I had no ide what to expect and as i walked in and was seated i didnt evenlook at the menu. I asked the waiter if he could sort me out with an array of plates so i could taste what the restaurant had to offer. He obliged and gave me so many great dishes.
From squid carpacio to a fish fillet to a lamd kabab.
The food was spectacular and my waiter Eloi went above and beyond with the service.
All in all i think its a very special unique restaurant with great staff and delicious food.
