We came here for dinner and the food and service were pretty mid. We had a lot of problems concerning the alaskan king crab. We had already placed in our orders, however, our waiter later came back telling us he said the wrong market price to us and it was actually much pricier than expected (more than $100 difference). It was very unprofessional since we already ordered the dish and they wanted to take back their word. When we got the order, the meat inside the legs was not comparable to the price we paid. Not sure if they cooked it for too long, but the meat in the legs were very shriveled up. The fried body dish was decent, however, the fried rice dish had no flavor. Overall, very disappointed with the service. They tried to give us the pig baos as condolences, however, it did not justify their mistake. Other than that, the ambiance was okay. There weren't that many people when we went so it was peaceful (except for the uncomfortable tension now). In regards to the other dishes we got: The peking duck was probably my favorite. The meat was favorable and juicy, and the skin was extra crispy. The fried shrimp and walnuts were good, classic dish I always get.

A full 5 star review for many reasons! Dim Sum was AMAZING. Buns were filled with meat, airy, hot, and very tasty. The vegetarian in our group ordered dry noodles with vegetables which seems to contain three different types of mushrooms, and tasted heavenly. Tea was hot and filled often. Service was impeccable. GREAT experience. And one of our group is Asian and has high expectations! We can't wait to return.

Pretty decent place we are party of 6 on Sunday night including two under 10 kids. Sunday night and many families are there. Not too noisy at all. The stuff is so sweet. Nice and kind service. Portion, amazing it's a lot. We definitely needed to known about how big it is. The beef soup was amazing, dumplings, Peking duck. But just a bit luck of umami. squid fries are not really resembling a picture on the menu and taste heavy. Very oily. A bit of luck of seasoning but overall, good family eat spots. Just a taste wise I won't come back.
Be the first to ReplyI've been coming here almost every weekend for 10+ years.
I'm surprised I haven't written a review yet. It's honestly the best dim sum restaurant nearby and cheaper than most. I don't venture into Flushing so not going to compare with those. On weekends and holidays the wait can be long. There's a line even at 2pm. The dim sum department is diligent too. They keep releasing fresh dim sum even up until ~2:30pm. Depending on how busy they are and available stock, they're generally willing to steam you fresh dim sum if there aren't any available up until ~3:15pm. This is very important and rare!! A lot of dim sum restaurants nearby releasing fresh items by 1pm or so which is frustrating if you can't even get a table by that time yet. Another thing to note about timing is how they often have dinner banquets and they start setting up the tables around 3pm. They don't really kick you out or stop letting new customers come in, but you'll feel the pressure when all the tables around are getting transformed to big red tables while you're the only one sitting in a small table with white tablecloth. Sometimes when the party hosts are decorating the stage, the décor people come at 2ish3 which is quite disruptive to guests still eating around that area. Although quality isn't 100% consistent, I have general favorites: chive dumpling, egg tart, chicken feet, Malaysian cake roll, dried shrimp scallion cilantro cheung fun. Depending on my mood and the quality of the day, these are good too: spare ribs, tofu pudding, taro dumpling, bean curd roll. Tables aren't too cramped here. The employees are well trained and experienced. The décor is traditional yet not over the board (i.e. other Cantonese restaurants with neon LED lights and stuff). I miss the golden dragon and phoenix on the stage, but they have a big TV along with smaller TVs on the side that usually play TVBUSA.

This place was super authentic!! When you see a large group of its country's elderly customers, you know you are at the right place. They had a waiting card giving out. They will call you when your table is ready. I had to wait about 20 mins for a group of 2 which wasnt too bad. There are main dish menus which you can order from. Or you can have any dishes on the cart that is going in between all the tables. I really enjoyed picking what i wanted to eat. They have anything you can imagine, such as vegetable dishes, dimsum dishes and meats! Most of the speak in english so feel free to ask any question. Most important! They have a free parking!!
Be the first to ReplyPacked like always on a Sunday morning.
Luckily the wait was only around 30 minutes at 11am for a party of four. The dim sum is good at least the savory things. They really do the classics well. There was more to be desired for the baos. The golden lava steamed bao was a let down. It was oily and didn't have much salted egg flavor. Fried sesame ball with sesame paste was really good too. It was less than $20 per person for four people, and we ate at least 10 dishes. Very worth it. The dim sum is almost all good.
Be the first to ReplyThe fried crab rice is very delicious .
I gotta say I eat a lot of fried crab rice yearly . This is top tier. Tao chicken is also great. The crab soup is also great. I also order fried flat beef noodle (to go) - that's is not much of a taste. Overall this place definitely worth trying and coming back. Waitress are funny and friendly. Place is clean and very huge. Total :$104 without tip .
Be the first to ReplyGreat prices for a wonderful lunch.
And the waitress let us sit there for a few hours without rushing us. I would highly recommend.

Hands down my family all-time favorite dim sum spot in the entire city. Not exaggerating, they come to yum cha at least twice a week. We've tried almost everything on the menu and dim sum carts. I can't even count how many times I've been here, and finally decided to give them an honorable mention. The aunties who push the dim sum carts are really attentive and friendly -- they remember our fav food and always reserve us warm dim sum. Just found out East Harbor was listed in 2023 Michelin Guide -- very well-deserved. Top favs/Must order: *Veggie Pork Bun 菜肉包 *Char Siu Pie 叉燒酥 *Char Siu Bun 叉燒餐包 *Taro Dumpling 香芋餃 *Black Sesame Balls 雷沙湯圓 *Egg Tart 蛋撻 Other Favs: *Dried Shrimp Rice Roll 蝦米腸 *Beef w. String Bean on Rice
Be the first to ReplyFood is alright.
The services are also okay as long as you can get the waiters' attention. The place can be super crowded and loud but that's normal.

Bad service at all! And the food was too salty and too much msg! The room too tight. And you need to wait for long time.

I went to this establishment based on the review on Gault and Millau. The managers are very courteous and polite, however the food not what I expected. I ordered the Peking duck among other items . It was inedible .Just fat and bones. For this reason I will never go back there.
Be the first to ReplyAre you looking for the best dimsum in NYC? Come to East
Are you looking for the best dimsum in NYC? Come to East Harbor Seafood Palace in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, NY. Four of us visited today. Here's how it works: show up and get a number. They'll call you. Get seated, and you may share the table with strangers. Get an aisle seat where you can easily look at the aisles. You'll see many carts come by and pick whatever you want from there. If you're looking for something in particular, ask. They'll send carts with that cuisine your way or have you order from a menu. They'll use a stamp on a card to record the value or what small plates you ordered. When done, raise the card, and they'll total it so you can pay on the way out. They'll bring tea. If the tea needs a refill, tip the top, and they'll come by to refill for free. They use reusable plastic chopsticks. Menu's have descriptions of what they bring around on carts. Expect limited English. To beat the crowds, arrive around 11 am or 2 pm. Peak wait can be 30 to 60 minutes. Standing room only. Could grocery shop next door while waiting. Street parking is difficult. Expect 15 to 30 minutes looking and parking blocks away. Love the high-quality, inexpensive food here. Staff very nice and they work hard to get you what you want. Don't be shy to ask what you want or chase carts down.
Be the first to ReplyWe reserved 2 tables here to celebrate Chinese New Year.
Montou fresh fish soup had a bit too much msg. One of us even added hot water to dilute it. The fish dish fillet afterwards was over cooked but the seasoning was very tasty. The garlic chicken was ok but a bit over cooked as well. The lobster needed way more scallions and was just ok. The walnut shrimp with fried condensed milk was ok after I asked for more salad dressing. The pork chop was good as it is the same as my favorite restaurants in Queens. The seafood chow mein didn't have enough flavor and the noodle was cut into tiny pieces which we never seen. Noodles should be long especially for this holiday. The tofu mushroom dish lacked flavor. They ran out of TBone steak so we got the beef ribs which was sub par and could have used more black pepper and spices. The worst dish was the fried rice. This used to be out favorite place years ago. We had stayed away since it has gone downhill. We were hoping that it improved. We were wrong as it only got worse.Surprisingly the fresh fish came out $ 229 for 2 fish. Each fish is usually 2 lbs since this is a small type of fish and they said $36 per pound so we should have questioned how they came out out with this crazy number. Never again will we be returning here.
Be the first to ReplyWow! I'm so happy I got to try this place.
We came for dinner on a Friday night. First, I was so amazed by how big the space is...by NYC standards. It's also kinda elegant, with the servers all dressed up. It wasn't too busy and we were able to get seated right away. I imagine it's much busier during the day for dim sum. All the food was delicious! We got to try some of the dim sum available during dinner hours and they were very tasty, with generous portions of seafood. The seafood taro nest was another winner. I loved the crispy nest, quite addictive! Both the noodles and sesame chicken were pretty solid, too. I would definitely love to come back for dim sum and with a bigger group! Service was friendly and attentive at all times. We even got complimentary sweet red bean soup for dessert, which was a nice way to end our meal.
Be the first to ReplyFood, service, and ambiance is amazing.
It was pricey but my family had fun. Loved the Peking duck, shrimp with white sauce and cashews, kang kong, and bitter melon and beef. Also has parking which is a plus.
Be the first to ReplyEast Harbor Seafood Restaurant is conveniently located next
East Harbor Seafood Restaurant is conveniently located next to a supermarket, making it a great spot to grab a bite to eat and do errands. I visited on a weekday and it was quite busy, however, we were given a private room which was much better. The restaurant has several private rooms, each with about 3 tables. The staff were quick to offer from their food dim sum carts and you can easily point to what you want to try. The dim sum carts did not have names for the items. I ordered a mix of Jasmine and Chrysanthemum tea and the food was good. I tried dim sum items such as tripe, lotus leaf wrap, shrimp-stuffed noodle wrap, dough wrapped in noodle, and eggplant with shrimp. I also had a light noodle dish. I noticed that they had special dim sum items available. The restaurant has tanks with seafood which can be interesting for kids to look at while waiting. There are also 2 televisions in the open seating area. They do not have their own parking but you can find street parking nearby. The restroom has multiple stalls for both genders and even a diaper changing station. Overall, it was a good experience.
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I found this place when we were looking for
My husband and I found this place when we were looking for a dim sum spot. Unfortunately, we did not make it for the time frame (9 AM to 3 PM, according to our friendly waiter). However, our experience did not disappoint at all. We're so happy we fell upon this place. Upon walking in, we were greeted quickly and seated quickly; it was a Friday night around 7 PM. After being seated, the first gentleman who served us poured us our tea. We were quickly approached to put our order in. We ordered the shrimp dumplings, roasted duck, and prawns in sweet & sour sauce. Loved that the shrimp dumplings did not have minced shrimp. There were two pieces of somewhat large shrimp in them. Amazing. The roasted duck was tasty. It was a good size for both of us and we were full off of it. But of course, as roasted duck lovers, we wanted more. The dish of the night were the prawns. I am obsessed with how they made them - they were crispy, not overcooked at all, and drenched in their tasty sweet & sour sauce. Chef kiss.We were nervous to try anything with XO sauce. But hopefully next time, we'll be adventurous and try a dish with it. We'll be back for sure. And come that time, we'll make it for dim sum!!!
Be the first to ReplyBest dim sum in Brooklyn in my opinion.
There are long waits on weekends but have been seated right away on weekdays. I order anything shrimp related and it makes my day. Great place for big groups or small groups either way you'll have a good time.

Omg!!! Usually come for dinner but was craving those egg custard tarts(daan tats)... so waited New Years Day for a table --- about 45 mins - so I suggest getting there earlier than the 10:30am or going on Satutday am instead... anyway, cart after cart came by and we kept asking for the custard tarts and the ladies were like "no, we don't have any" or "no, not yet" --- understandable since they were pushing whatever was on their carts --- lovely steaming hot shui mai , har gow--- i was getting a bit despondent until my mother flagged down a man in a black suit and explained my craving situation ( and no - not pregnant! haha). and next thing you know he has them make it - 5 orders of fresh, warm flaky melt in your mouth yumminess --- honestly, craving satisfied but I might be back Saturday for more --- they are indeed that good ---So I guess this is a review for their egg tarts... i'll review their peking duck/lobster another time but for now these are to die for!
Be the first to ReplyFantastic dim sum place in Brooklyn Chinatown.
I find the food even better than Jing Fong in the city. Definitely try this place if you're looking for Dim Sum in brooklyn.
Be the first to ReplyGreat dim sum place in Brooklyn.
I came by myself and stuffed myself for my birthday. Got seated easily as it was a weekday around 11. Had the following dim sum dishes:-beef tripe-rice noodle wrapped around youtiao-bean curd roll-chicken feet-coconut puddingAll this food for $25. They were all great! These are my favorite dim sum dishes and they were delicious. Tip, if you want the coconut pudding, ask them for it. They'll grab it from the fridge for you. They don't come out on the carts.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best dim sum spots in bay ridge, Brooklyn.
Waiting time can be pretty long during the weekends but it is all worth the wait.Everything is made very good. You will be overwhelmed with the variety of options to choose from. My favorites are......everything
Be the first to ReplyThis place doesn't disappoint.
I ordered seafood; lobster , Vancouver crab over sticky rice and conch with tofu . The crab with rice was sooooo flavorful . It was $70 for the crab but it was a special occasion and well worth it . Will def order again !
Be the first to ReplyBest Dim Sum in Nyc period.
I've been coming here for a few years now...and the food is consistently hot, fresh, and on point. Can be busy with a bit of a wait when you come in weekends, but that's to be expected. If you haven't been here for dim sum yet, you're missing out. The other nearby spots are no comparison and neither are any of the popular dim sum joints in Manhattan's Chinatown.Service here is better than you'll find at most chinese restaurants. The servers constantly come by to refill your tea and water and refresh your plates if needed. Shrimp & Watercress dumplings, Har Gow, Shrimp rice noodle rolls, and siu mai are my go-to's. If those are not to your liking, the other menu items are good as well.
