Excellent food, service and ambiance.
El Asadero is lovely restaurant with great ambiance, excellent food and service. We sat outside and enjoyed the live music street side. We dined there twice and enjoyed both times immensely.

Everything I ordered was delicious. The service was excellent. The place has a very good atmosphere and its decoration is beautiful. I will definitely return.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious meat and friendly service with nice music in the background.
Delicious meat and very friendly and fast service. Price-quality ratio is top! One of the few restaurants where a Mexican band was playing, very atmospheric! And above all, the sound wasn't too loud.

The place is excellent, with great decoration and very good lighting. The service was pretty good and the dishes were incredible.
Be the first to ReplyGrilled Nopales stand as a bridge connecting you to Mexico's rich culture
Tulum's culinary scene bursts with vibrant flavors, and Al Asadero offers an enticing exploration of authentic Mexican cuisine. Here, each dish is a celebration of heritage and culinary artistry, taking you on a delightful gastronomic adventure. Your journey begins with the Grilled Nopales. This seemingly simple appetizer is a revelation, showcasing the succulent, earthy notes of cactus cooked to perfection. The smoky aroma intertwines with a refreshing freshness, setting the stage for a symphony of flavors to come. What elevates the taco experience at Al Asadero is the array of signature sauces that accompany each bite. Dive into the bold and spicy world of habanero-infused salsas, savor the smoky undertones of chipotle, or indulge in the tangy freshness of cilantro-lime crema.
Be the first to ReplyPOOR SERVICE, DODGY STAFF
The worst experience ever in Tulum. We paid 2000 mxn pesos for the bill (including THE TIP of course) in cash but we ran out of money and we added 115 mxn pesos by card. Only the following day we realised that our card was charged 1115 instead of 115 !!!! We heard from friends that this โgenuine mistakeโ happened to them as well elsewhere, so apparently this is a common practice with tourist in Mexico! Be extra careful with your money and check the transaction amount! Moreover, we made a reservation for dinner specifying we wanted the table outside if possible and that was confirmed by the waiter over the phone. However we arrived and all the outside tables were occupied . The waiter told us to seat inside whilst waiting for a table outside. After 45 minutes, before our food arrives, we check outside and there were 3 tables available but he didnโt care to tell us. Not recommended!
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
The staff was nice but service was poor from start to finish. Other tables around us were complaining and commiserating as well. It took a long time to get drinks, apps, main courses, dessert, and bill. Also, things were wrong with our order which added stress. On top of service issues, the food was just so-so which was really disappointing for our final meal in Tulum. For the price we expected much better. Maybe it was just an off night.

Dear El Asadero, I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the incredible work you're doing. Your support for the local community, allowing them to earn a living on your property, is truly commendable. Despite receiving a few negative reviews from patrons, you are sticking to what is important. I recently met a family selling items at your establishment, and I was able to help them in a huge way. These kids are out doing what they can to support their family, and your role in facilitating this deserves recognition. Your commitment to making a positive impact is evident. As a fellow business owner, I applaud your resilience and dedication. Best regards, Scott norris
Be the first to ReplyNo ac, was like a sauna inside. I felt bad for cooks
I went here because I was dying for a steak and it had good reviews. The steak is fine, but the sides were sad. And they said there was ac inside. I left half way through to eat my $60 steak at home because I was dying. Overall unpleasant waste of my money
Be the first to ReplyBest bite in tulum
First and very important, their chips and all varieties of salsa are absolutely the best in tulum! The rancho beans are something you dream about, the steak โarracheraโ cut thinly and ordered medium is always impeccable! Then their flour tortillas wrapped around all that goodness in one bite is what makes this the best bite in all of Tulum!!

Great dinner with good service. Go for the catch of the day and you will not be disappointed. It is great location and looks nice inside
Be the first to ReplyI wish I can give a minus one star
We went in there they took an hour to get me any food. I had to get up numerous times to ask . We also ordered to ny strip medium rare and it came out well done and rubbery . Icing the the cake one of the employee stops on my toes at the end .
Be the first to ReplySurprisingly disappointing
We have had a number of meals at El Asadero and the standard has always been excellent. However, tonight my son and I ordered two New York steaks rare. His was perfectly cooked but mine was medium to well done. I mentioned this to the waiter who took my steak away and then bizarrely asked if he could also take my sons steak away so that the chef could compare them. Both were brought back and I was told that there was no difference which was absolute nonsense. I have no problem if a mistake happens, what I do have a problem with is when a clear and obvious mistake is made and rather than admit to that mistake the person responsible tries to pretend that I am the one at fault. It's just not acceptable and unfortunately leads to an unnecessary poor review like this one.
