Excellent meal with professional service.
From the appetizers, especially the zucchini stack, entrees and dessert's were all tasty. We're planning to go back again soon.
Be the first to ReplyFood and service outstanding as usual.
Lights on cars pulling in to pick up orders resulted in bright lights shining into dining room. Curtains need to be closed or blinds down.

Food and service both great. The atmosphere is nice too, always very busy, you will need a reservation.

We love Greek food and we were looking forward to dining at Estia. We ordered appetizers and then the main dishes, the food overall was good but the service (or should I say lack of) was mediocre at most. Not personable at all, multiple people were coming to the table like robots to bring us the food. We were not finished yet and we were asked multiple times if they could take our plates like we were being rushed to leave. The ambiance was fine but the room was too cold. Overall impression was not memorable and expected better service at this price point.

My husband and I always enjoy coming here! The vibe is always great no matter what time you go. We've been several times for dinner but also enjoy their happy hour.

I love Greek food and was very happy with Estia! We only went for Happy Hour but it was fabulous and I can't wait to go back for dinner. The inside is beautiful with a large bar and two separate dining rooms as well as outdoor seating in the warm months. All of the employees were extremely friendly and attentive. Our waiter was so helpful answering a bunch of questions from our whole group. The HH snacks are good and reasonably priced. 3 spread dip- pita is so tender and great charred flavor. Tzatziki is fresh and creamy with a slight zest Htipti- smoky and tart. Gritty Melitzanosalata- spicy, roasted red pepper. Creamy Hummus- bland. Greasy with no garlic and very little flavor overall. Cheese Saganki- crispy and creamy. Gooey inside and flames flavor crisp on outside. Calamari- perfect crispy and tender. Slight spice in the dip. They have a thin breading so it wasn't too much breading.

I really like Estia! It's beautifully decorated, moody yet comfortable. Service is also on point. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. My friend and I split the grilled shrimp (large and tender), Dover sole (flaky, sweet, and beautifully cooked), spanakorizo (spinach rice which was a great accompaniment). My only one negative comment is that my Tito's French martini, while tasty, was $18. A bit excessive.

We chose here for a birthday celebration but the standard of service did not come close to the price point. The waiter spoke so low and fast that even when asked to repeat we had no idea. The appetizers were good & presentation lovely. However the entree was a let down. The sea bass was drowning in a bland tomato sauce. We would not be running back based on first impressions
Be the first to ReplyFood was good as always.
Service was comically slow. Room was so cold most patrons were wearing their jackets. One poor fellow even had his ski cap on. In this case we were a few gals happy to chat the night away but under other circumstances we would have been very unhappy.

I called and made a reservation two days prior to dining in and went with a reservation on the earlier side when my ideal time slot was unavailable. The hostess I spoke on the phone with was very friendly and I was excited for my reservation. Upon arrival and checking in with the host, I felt as I was inconvenience for wanting to dine out on a Saturday. Upon arriving at my table, I quickly brushed the less than ideal welcome aside to enjoy the decor and enjoy a fine meal. My server was friendly, but the service overall was mediocre for the money spent. It was a struggle to receive water at times and overall, the effort felt as the theme of the night was to give the bare minimum. The impression I received that Estia was coasting off their brand recognition and I should be content with any service I receive. The cheese saganaki, pikilia spreads, and tuna tartarte were excellent appetitizers to start the meal. I opted for the Estia pilsner as my opening drink as I was craving what I thought would be a nice craft beer. The pilsner was bland and tasted watered down. There were no distinguishing attributes, and I quickly pivoted the wine for the remainder of the evening. Despite dining in earlier than I originally wanted, the filet minion I had my eye on was sold out. I chuckled a little as that is my luck, but I had to ask for the menu again. I suppose I was expected to have memorized the menu and have a backup plan on the spot. I eventually opted for the bone-in fish; Barbounia with roasted asparagus and potatoes. The fish was flaky and nicely prepared with a mild flavor but the roasted potatoes and asparagus were the highlights in my opinion. Nicely seasoned and full of flavor that paired well with the Barbounia. In summary, the evening out was nice but not as memorable as I had hoped it to be. The service again was adequate but adequate won't cut it at this price point. I was disappointed by the lack of inventory and preparedness to have my original choice entree available nor was there any apologies for the inconvenience. I may return in the new year and hopefully update my review.
Be the first to ReplyUnnecessarily expensive, inflation and all.
Clearly ownership thinks their product is much better and ingredients exclusive than they really are.
Be the first to ReplyFood is very good here.
But why does the hostess put us next to a table that's occupied when there are plenty of open seats? And this is mid afternoon when the tables are no booked. I want to enjoy my meal and I don't want to whisper to avoid having my conversation overheard. A little space please!

I've been to the city location before but tonight was my first time in Radnor. I was a little nervous since the menus aren't identical but was far from disappointed. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was tremendous. We were Promptly seated with our reservation. Started with complimentary bread and hummus (very creamy, garlicky). For appetizers chose the skordalia which was unlike anything I've eaten before and loved the grilled pita it came with. We also tried the calamari which was lightly fried and the marinara was just the right combo spicy/sweet. My boyfriend devoured his lamb chops while I loved the shank. Struggled to finish our entrees but had to split the baklava which was some of the best I've had. Would definitely recommend.

Food is great but we celebrated a birthday and were 5 couples. They would not let us split the check- max is a 4 way split. They would not offer a solution by splitting the check so we can pay 3 and 2.It was unbelievable and very upsetting. Not recommend for a big party,Not sure we would go back!
Be the first to ReplyThe service was slow and the food was good.
However we were a party of 10 and they refused to take 5 credit cards and only accepted 4 credits cards. It is unheard of and the first time I have encountered that. So if you are a big party, find somewhere else to go.

It's been a while since I've dined here because they stopped serving lunch following the pandemic. Last night two friends and I met for dinner, and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had here!I had made a reservation for 5:30pm. We all arrived early and they were happy to seat us early. They were starting to get busy (by the time we left the place was completely packed!). Our server, Mirabel (?), was wonderful -- very friendly, attentive, and accurate. Since it was the others' first time, I insisted they try the Estia Chips, which are a crowd favorite. Indeed, it was better than I'd remembered; in fact, one of the gentlemen in our party said it was "the best zucchini he's ever had." The house bread and hummus were also delicious; their hummus is one of the best.I opted for the Avgolemono (soup) and Dolmades as my meal -- both of which I've had on multiple prior occasions. Portions and temperatures were perfect and the flavor was out of this world! We all enjoyed glasses of wine (rose for me). No dessert as we were all pretty full.I am so happy I had a chance to come back and will continue to recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. My friends were highly impressed and said it was worth every penny!

Always great food! The zucchini chips are crispy and delicious and their happy hour is a great value! They also have lunch specials that are great if you have a work meeting or the day off!

Great sister restaurant to the South Broad St version near the Academy of Music. The burbs have proven there a clientele for this type of restaurant and I'm glad it's a success. The food is always good, cocktails too. The service is attentive and consistently good. Located in Radnor on the eve of Lincoln Financial center and across from Radnor High. Good place to bring guests.

Estia was so off last night! Service was atrocious, and it felt like the waiter was only attending to the tables around us. Also, the seating felt very smushed together as we were well within arms length with two other surrounding tables. Felt like I was jipped with the lobster linguini last night. I order this dish every time I come, but last night it came with half of the amount of lobster meat than it usually comes with IF that. And the lobster was extremely chewy and over cooked. Totally was not worth the price of that dish last night. Estia get it together! Will be a while before I go back.
Be the first to ReplyWent for anniversary.
Been a long time since we were at Estia in Philly and this was first time trying the Radner location. Was looking forward to Estia chips, Eck mek, and fresh fish. For apps, we ordered Estia chips, cheese saganaki, avgolemono soup. Soup and saganaki were excellent as was the hummus and grilled fresh bread served when we sat down. I ordered the halibut and my wife had the lobster linguine which she liked. My halibut was a bit overcooked and a little dry. For dessert was disappointed to find out that they no longer serve ek mek. Instead some kind of yogurt cheese cake which I didn't care for as it wasn't very sweet. Our server was very nice. Overall was was underwhelmed as my expectations were high.
