Fantastic breakfast
Great coffee, yummy fresh food and efficient service. We had breakfast here two mornings in a ro and the meal size was very generous. They open at 6am on Sundays. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

I met a friend for coffee today so decided to google to find somewhere different to try. We landed on The Fortunate Son cafe in Ringwood East. Lovely little cafe, has a lovely little courtyard out back but it was a bit cold for that today. I had a chai latte which I enjoyed and we shared a banana cake which was yum. Service was friendly.

I purchased a breakfast order of bacon and eggs on toast from this cafe, only to find that l received one slice of toast with an egg on each side and a very small peice of bacon, forget ever seeing me again in that cafe
Be the first to Replydirty tables & cold
went there & ordered then we went outside & sat, when our drinks were brought out to us we asked them to come wipe the tables, this should have been done before seating people & then they just wiped the food off with sanitiser.
two of the pancakes were nice, the baking powder had not been mixed through the flour properly & we got noticeably pieces of it in the 3rd pancake.
The best coffee
The Coffee was perfectly made exactly as I asked for it. Amazing. Exactly. As. Ordered. Almost unheard of. Great price too.
Be the first to ReplyAnother great cafe in Ringwood
Ringwood is fast becoming a mecca for the brunch brigade with another excellent cafe in the Bedford Rd shops.
Staff were friendly and efficient, food was was yummy with a good range on the menu as well as reasonably priced.
I had my usual eggs, crispy bacon (prepared just how I like it) and grilled tomato with a pot of EB tea.
There is seating out the front as well as inside and out the back (outside).
Chai was my favourite!
Dined for breakfast, I ordered the free range eggs scrambled with multigrain sourdough & smoked tomato relish. Food was tasty. Drinks I had was freshly squeezed OJ which was good & a few of their prana chai which was made well also. Service was very slow & drinks took a long time to come out but otherwise service was friendly. Will return to try other menu items.

Wifey and I dropped in on way to our normal preferred local cafe when it caught our eye. I had the beef burger, wife had eggs with mushrooms. Both very pleasant and coffee we had with it was even better. Busy little cafe, great service reasonably priced, will be back for sure as baked eggs someone else had looked awesome.
Be the first to ReplyQuality food at great prices
First time visit from a local, to this unpretentious cafe. Was very surprised - firstly at how busy it was, and then on tasting the food understood why they were busy. They provide quality food (from local and ethical food sources) at great prices. We both loved our meals (for me it was falafel with humus, great bread and grains, and my partner had the granola with rhubard, yogurt and berries). They also do all day breakfasts. They clearly care about their food, and the coffe was very good. Would ceratinly recommend giving this place a go.

Tucked away in a small strip shop area of Bedford rd is this little gem.
Sat in the front outside on high chairs made it an interesting experience
Apparently they have an area out back which was full
This was a breakfast with daughter
Coffee was lovely as was apple and orange juice, nice and fresh
Service wonderful
Our orders , Generation Y smashed avocado and the Rosti house special with smoked salmon
Both were well presented and plentiful
Enjoyable breakfast
Sunday morning quick breakfast
First time here. Small and seemed busy..usually good sign. But found out it was because service was very slow.. Sat down ordered coffee took 20 mins to get and then asked if wanted breakfast. Ordered breakfast was too long given was baked eggs. Presented in cast iron skillet....so it was hot (heat wise) and of course held heat for a long time. Was ok food. Too noisy for me and think the staff maybe new to the whole hospitality thing....doing one thing at a time...pity
