we arrived at the hotel on Friday 29 March at 3.
45pm, we were told to wait in the lobby for 45 minutes as room was not ready, after 80 minutes wait in the lobby and no text from the check in desk, we enquired if our room was ready, we were told to wait longer. We were going to opera that night and time was getting very close to be able to change and head there. After getting upset, we were offered another room with city view instead of lake view as booked and were promised financial compensation by the Manager. When we checked out, we were charged the full price of the reservation. The next day, we went to have breakfast in the hotel, after waiting for 45 minutes waiting for a simple order that did not require any cooking that did not seem to be coming , we walked away and went to a local place for breakfast instead

We filled up on grub then got a nice massage before going out on the town as per usual. Very attentive staff all around.
Be the first to ReplyThe Four Seasons Chicago is our home away from home.
From the moment we arrive until the day of our departure, every aspect of each visit is nothing short of extraordinary. The warm and welcoming reception at valet and the front desk sets the tone for our entire stay. The staff's genuine friendliness and service makes us feel like valued guests from the outset. Our rooms are always impeccably clean with a keen attention to detail. The luxurious linens and thoughtful amenities add an extra layer of comfort and serenity to our stays. The social lounge is spacious, vibrant, vibey, always decorated beautifully and the best for people watching and cocktailing. Brunch at Adorn is an absolute MUST. In-room dinning is exceptional, and the chicken fingers are necessary. A visit from the Ice Cream Man is a treat that guarantees a smile on your face. The new pool/hot tub/spa space is top notch and so much fun for the little ones. Such a lovely accommodation to have on site and it looks fantastic! Lastly, the concierge is truly unlike any other. I commend Kristen and the guest services team for their invaluable services and never missing a beat. Their willingness to go above and beyond to accommodate us and make every single visit so special contributes significantly to the overall enjoyment of our stay. Their commitment to excellence, coupled with the warm hospitality of the staff, creates an unforgettable experience for our family. We undoubtedly cherish the memories of our stays and eagerly look forward to our next visit.

Just stayed here for the weekend after not having been in several years. It was awesome. The renovations were bright, luxurious and awesome. I know they have yet to renovate the rooms but they were nice. If I had to add one thing, I wish there were a little more comfortable seating but it's fine. The man working by the taxis at night was so kind and observant. The man who took our bags up was also so warm and kind. And our housekeeper was so accommodating. We ate twice in the restaurant (once for breakfast and once for dinner) and both were great. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

I used to come to Four Seasons often for their AYCE Mediterranean- and Asian-inspired brunches that used to be offered, but, unfortunately, they do not serve those any longer. However, we have returned to dine-in for their regular brunch, and it has been a pleasant experience - service is friendly and on point. Great place to book if you're only looking to stay in the DT area - rooms are clean and kept well. Plenty of shopping and attraction points nearby. +clean rooms +friendly service
Be the first to ReplyChicago in the summer is hot.
This was particularly new to me because I am from California and the weather stays the same for the most part. Even when it rained it was still hot. My guy, bestie, and me were walking down the main drag and got thirsty for something stronger than water. Of course, as I looked up I saw the Four Seasons and thought rooftop bar on this beautiful day in the neighborhood. Get in, got to the elevators and see the sign that it was closed for the season...forgot why but jus why? Fuqn annoying. Ok then we tried to have drinks at the inside bar and it was closed and the restaurant was the only place open for drinks with a very limited menu because it was past lunch. Oh boy, again; WTF, no one randomly stops at the Four Seasons to have drinks though the day. Odd.. but hey we made do what it was going to do by all means....you can put it on the list but make sure to call before you show up!
Be the first to ReplyThe Holiday High Tea at the Four Seasons Adorn Restaurant
The Holiday High Tea at the Four Seasons Adorn Restaurant is a real disappointment, especially when compared to the holiday teas at the Drake and Penninsula. First...there is no music at all, except an annoying throb of bass coming from contemporary recorded music at the nearby bar. We were in some side room with no holiday decorations and no views. It is a hard-edge environment, so the tile floors and high ceilings created a real din...not at all a quiet, relaxing ambiance. The server, friendly at first, disappeared for most of the tea and could be glimpsed now and then dashing into other dining rooms serving others. The scones are tiny mini-scones and when I asked for an extra one, I was told, after a long wait, that there were not extras. Most teas allow for an extra item or two, so this seemed surprisingly stingy. The price is high--the same as you pay elsewhere ($150 per person). The food is so-so and not much of it. On the plus side, the receptionist was very welcoming, we were seated a bit early and moved to a side table when one was available to help with the noise. Warning: this is really a bad choice of holiday teas in Chicago!
Be the first to ReplyThe Fours Seasons Chicago is amazing.
I stayed there most recently, doing a site inspection. As a travel agent I vet a lot of hotels for my clients and without a doubt, the Four Seasons does not miss. Their customer service here exceeds and surpasses most 5 star hotels. The food is exceptional, views are wonderful, and the location is convenient. When visiting Chicago again, this is where I'm staying. It was recently renovated. The rooms are somewhat average but the service can't be beat. I'm particularly fond of their room service. What a wonderful hotel. Thank you for such a pleasant stay. I rested and relaxed and missed it as soon as I checked out.

I am writing about our experiences last night at their restaurant. The food is very average--we got a beet salad, chicken w polenta, salmon and a coconut/mint dessert. The portions are quite small and much more effort is put into the creative "plating" than the food or it actually tasting good. For example, the dessert has these scrolls of inedible cucumbers with tiny cake and ice cream pieces. The gentleman who filled our sparking water glasses tended to be rude. We will share that the manager did check on us, but complaining wasn't an option w our dinner guests. And there was a nice fellow who brought us back pillows when we were seated that made a difference.

Beautiful hotel and exceptional service, especially at the front desk! Ally was professional, kind, and extremely helpful. Very thorough and spent time with us explaining all the amenities and services the hotel has to offer. Ally, really made our first impression of the hotel and our experience here a lasting one. And of course, all with a smile. She was awesome. Thank you, Ally!!
Be the first to ReplyNice location and friendly staff.
My man forgot to give them a heads up with my feather allergy, so we had to wait for a room. This of course was no fault of the Hotel, but they took care of us. Lake view was beautiful and we were close to everything.

It's clear this property has suffered a bit during the pandemic, but for a quick overnight stay it was yet heaven. The bathroom was quite worn and the carpet rather lived in, but the staff was overwhelmingly helpful.
Be the first to ReplyI stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago in late October
I stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago in late October when attending the PackExpo convention downtown. My room was absolutely beautiful. The entry led into a gorgeous living room with a sofa, chairs, dining table and tv center that included a Nespresso machine! But, the most amazing aspect was VIEW of the beautiful Miracle Mile! The bedroom was equally as beautiful as it too had a spectacular view, king size bed, huge oversized nightstands and the ensuite bathroom.I loved that the hotel was connected with the mall directly adjacent to it! It was fabulous and convenient to get to the mall without having to go out into the cold! And yes... it was cold during this stay!I think the BEST and most SPECIAL part of my stay was the beautiful young woman working in the restaurant. Her name is Margarita. This beautiful and cheery woman served me breakfast the first day and her smile, energy and kindness set my morning off in the best possible way. I proceeded to sit in her station the remainder of the week. On the last day of my stay I woke up late because I was up all night with THE worst mirage ever.... when I made my way down to the restaurant for breakfast I was told only lunch was being served. Miss Margarita overheard me talking to the host and asked what had happened...had I overslept... I explained that I'd not been well during the night and was having a rocky morning. Miss Margarita immediately extended herself. She said she'd seat me and talk to the kitchen to see if they'd be able to make my 2-egg breakfast for me. Margarita returned triumphantly from the kitchen with the breakfast I'd been having the past few days. This act of kindness meant so much to me given the poor state of my health that morning. And, Miss Margaritas kindness served as a reminder and example to me of how we should all go through life... helping others when we can.I plan on returning to Chicago again at the end of the year for the same convention and will plan on staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago again!Lastly... if Management is reading this review... Please know that Margarita is 1 in a million....

Four Seasons is the bar that gives you the right amount of "expensive" and tasteful, while also being inviting and offering a warm, calming ambiance. Visit the bar for a drink, you won't be disappointed!

...$165 per person for tea. Left starving. Beautiful ambiance, but even at Christmas time the value is poor. All of it was just ok - nothing special. And NOT worth $165 per person.
Be the first to ReplyThis review is only for a private happy hour we did here.
I did not stay the night at this hotel. That said, we had a work gathering in the lobby area. It was roped off and clear that it was a private event for our group. The lighting was dark and the music was high energy chill. There was about 40 of us in the group. There was lots of standing space, including high tops and the couches were good for sitting and conversating as well. On the food and drink front, there was one bar in the corner and a good variety of beer and wine. They also had mixed drinks and the line was never long. We also had heavy appetizers that were really good and suited a lot of different tastes for our group. The bathrooms were across the way behind the bar area, so not close, but also not far. Overall, this is a high class place to have a get together to impress.
Be the first to ReplyThe date was going really well.
Really. Well. So he pulled into the Four Seasons and checked his car into valet. We walked in without a reservation. Turns out you can't do that. The Four Seasons doesn't take walk-ins.They instructed him to step to the seating area and book a room through the website and then come back and they could check us in. It took some time, but it was finally set up. Thankfully, they had availability on a Friday night because his car had already been taken by valet. She owed him no apologies for not being able to take a walk-in, but because customer service is so amazing here, she upgraded the room to a suite for his troubles. Completely unnecessary, but very much appreciated. The suite was huge with multiple rooms. I've stayed in a lot of nice hotels, but I don't think I've ever had a hotel room big enough to have a hallway in the suite. I've stayed in suites at the Ritz Carlton countless times and although beautiful, they didn't feel this spacious. The bathroom had nearly everything I needed for an impromptu stay. -Plush robes, good toiletries, a bath effervescent, makeup removers, and they sent toothbrushes up to our room upon request. In all of my hotel stays, I've never seen a weight scale in the bathroom. This was a well stocked bathroom. The Four Seasons seems to have it all. It's very classy, very spacious, and has impeccable customer service. I don't know that I'll ever have a reason to stay at this particular hotel again, but I'd definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Chicago.
Be the first to ReplyI had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel.
What a beautiful hotel, with fantastic service and great views/location. The rooms are comfortable with plenty of amenities (Nespressos, comfortable pillows, good service) and the hotel amenities are nice such as pool and fitness center. Overall a great stay right on Michigan Ave!

It's been years since coming to Chicago and picked the four seasons. What an amazing experience inside this lovely hotel. From the moment you walk in to the lobby to the room it's beautiful and immaculate. The pool area is so relaxing and toFinish off with the adjorn restaurant.Top notch service from the management team Cory and Patrick who went out of the way to ensure a love time. Will be back for sure and bring directly on Michigan avenue perfect location to enjoy the city.

I just want to take the time out to thank the room service team at the Four Seasons Chicago. There was a woman named Deatrice (Or Beatrice) who works the evening shift for room service who made our two week stay feel like home. She was attentive and didn't miss a single detail on our orders. She even made sure my orders were correct even when I forgot to mention my berry allergy. I mean top tier service! Thank you so much for treating us with such care.

Love this hotel! We stay here whenever we want a staycation downtown. We started staying here because it was a recommendation for hotels that cater to kids. My toddler LOVES it. The kid's playroom, free cookies, toy, giant pool, a tent in our suite, ice cream cart, room service, and the plus of a toy store in the mall connected to the hotel. She loves staying here!I love the spa here and my husband loves that everybody is happy and having fun!
