Went to this Georgian restaurant looking for a quick bite
Went to this Georgian restaurant looking for a quick bite and found a terrific leisurely dining experience with wonderful shareable plates, a lovely outdoor backyard, and delicious food. Will bring an army next time so we can make more progress through the menu but everything we had (Tomato and cucumber salad, dumplings, and bean dish) were brightly herbed and delicious. Service was also very friendly.

As a sales rep my offices call and order their lunches, I called here to request a receipt. First I was hung up on without a hello. Next I was hung up on bluntly without any assistance or offer to help. Wow. I've never experience such behavior and I've worked in hospitality.

Kachapuri is amazing. Juiciest pork skewers.

We came in with a large group today, I ordered a family style banquet. I'm not Georgian, but love Georgian food. I was left unsatisfied completely. The appetizers were lacking flavor for the most part except for the chicken which was pretty good. We then got lamb and potatoes. Lamb tasted like jerky and potatoes were over peppered and lacking salt, they were also not cooked through completely. We ordered shish kebabs which were over cooked as well. The hachipuri was delicious however. They also don't serve dessert which was disappointing. The owners are kind of rude as well. Would not recommend.

We went here with a group of 14,the kitchen might have had a off day or maybe they are always like this I don't know. The food was not acceptable today but, i can imagine that they have better performances ok other nights and tables. I personally can never recommend this place because we had a unpleasant dining experience.

My in-laws were visiting from abroad and the owner made them feel so welcomed.None of us were Georgian and still we loved the food.Go for the kachapuri. It's the best I ever had.The prices are extremely fair too.A+

This restaurant is on Michelin guide's Bib Gourmet list and I really want to like this restaurant but I'm pretty torn apart. The owner was very nice and very hospitable. The appetizers were good and interesting, the pastry was amazing. But I can't say the same for the main courses. I got Georgian fries which is basically fries with onion slices, garlic and a sauce. The fries was not crispy at all, even a bit soggy, maybe that's the way it was, but for me it was nothing to talk about. It would be fine if it's just a complimentary side dish but this was a main course that took on a major role of the meal. The other main course was lula kebab, it's not dry but certainly not juicy, there was no char on the meat either, unremarkable. So both main courses were misses and there was no desserts so no way to score back.I was thinking I might not be doing this justice because I didn't try enough of their items. But 1) both main courses were missed which was enough to say something and 2) there was a big section under hot dish which were basically this Georgian fries paired with different choice of protein, I can pretty much imaging what those would be like even I hadn't order them. Also 3) there was a big section dedicated to different kebab and if this was the level of execution I can pretty much image in the other ones. So my opinion about the main courses were a fair assessment. This is an okay home style cooking restaurant if that's what you are looking for. But talking about Michelin Bib Gourmet? I'm not sure WHAT the inspectors were thinkingYouTube:IG: Fufski
Be the first to ReplyVery small spot, but legit authentic cuisine.
Very tasty and lots of options. I feel like some menu items are more like small plates or tapas so keep that in mind. Definitely worth a try. Reasonably priced.
Be the first to ReplyJust love the Georgian Cuisine.
Amazing fresh and unique food, great service as well. Thank you, will definitely come back.

This is the best meal I have eaten during myweek long stay in Brooklyn. We tried the adjaruli khachapuri (boat shaped bread with butter, cheese and egg in the middle), Georgian salad (cucumbers, tomatoes, onions) with walnuts and spices, eggplant rolls with walnut filling, and white cherry compot (natural fruit drink). The standouts were the cheese boat and salad but everything was so delicious. Cecilia, the owner is wonderful. Very friendly and patiently answered our questions. Wish I had time to visit once more this trip but I plan to return next time I'm in New York!

This is by far the Best meal I've had in Bay Ridge and may be in Brooklyn for a really long time. And the hospitality was amazing.
Be the first to ReplyFamily restaurant.
Very homey if that's what you're in to. Not the best but comfort food with a bit of an east European twist

This is the best food I've had in such a long time. Love it here and can't wait to come back.

"Whats the name of the restaurant we are going to?""We're going to Georgian Cuisine""No, I know it's Georgian, but what's it called?"With a name that could launch a thousand Abbott and Costello routines, eating at Georgian Cuisine is no laughing matter - this Bay Ridge gem serves up delicious food and more importantly food that's hard to come by anywhere west of Tbilisi. While you can definitely order things for just yourself, this food lends itself to sharing amongst the table. An absolute must here is the Cheese Boat - served in a bread bowl with an egg yolk in the middle of the cheese, the mixed up dish is rich cheesey goodness. The Lamb Kebab are delicious juicy pieces of meat served over fries and seasoned to perfection.More importantly than the delicious food is the feeling of being part of the family. The hostess/waitress/owner will come by and explain exactly what a dish consists of in case you're not an expert in Georgian Cuisine. Most memorably, we once ordered the Lamb Kebab and the chef marched out of the kitchen to insist that we would enjoy the Lula Kebab more - turns out he was right!!

Completely unexpected! Our friends were raving about this small Georgian restaurant and we finally decided to give it a try. This is the first time in a very long time that I can say that the food was absolutely amazing. If you are looking for casual dinner with great, home made, food and warm service, this is the place!

An amazing experience! We went out for a "date night", which is so rare in these times. My brother lived in Tbilisi for years so we always wanted to check this place out.Cecilia and her family were the best hosts. We felt like family the whole time. We loved the cucumber tomato salad with the walnut dressing (simple, unique, delicious). The bread they make there is also, amazing! The food here is made with care and love.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely delicious.
We live far away in brooklyn but happened to be here to pickup Skis in the neighborhood so decided to stop by. The food was delicious and the staff was very helpful. We had never had Georgian food and they walked us through the menu and suggested what to eat. Everything we ordered was delicious and will certainly make the trek back. Make sure to get the cheeseboat!!!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious, DELICIOUS food.
We had a great time here. Unfortunately I didn't get the owner's name but she served us too and imparted her knowledge of the various dishes. Traditional fare, that was generous and hearty. Oh, and order a bottle of wine - little secret that Georgian wine can compete with the big leagues!

The first thing we got is acharuli (aka cheese boat). It was hot, fresh, and so cheesy! The cheese pull was breathtaking and the creamy egg yolk mixed in really took it to the next level. It truly is a must-have. The next thing we got is ojakhuri which is potatoes, crispy pork, caramelized onions, garlic and spices. It's my first time trying it and the flavors were immaculate. I can't wait to order it again! The portion was also very generous and the onions were caramelized to perfection. Last is khinkali (dumplings). These ones have beef, pork, and cilantro. They are gigantic! They have soup inside them and the kind owner explained to us that you are supposed to hold it upside by the little nub and eat the soup and meat together. These things were STUFFED with meat. One of the greatest parts of this experience was speaking to the owner. She was so sweet, asked us questions and made sure everything was enjoyed. She explained that it is a family-owned restaurant and they put in like 16 hour days. I said you can easily tell because you can tell all of the food was made with love. They do everything from cooking to dishes to serving. Please show this amazing restaurant some love. She said they have only been around for about three years and the last two have been particularly hard because of the pandemic. Delicious food and a truly wonderful owner!
