A Chicago regular stop
A must Chicago stop. Great deep dish, atmosphere and service. Always look forward to grabbing food here when I’m town. Always great to sit in.

Over rated food - service was good though. Pizza was poor to bad - it is definitely a place that is living on the hype. Must say though that the servers were very good.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and excellent service! An absolute must!
We walked in not having a reservation and we were seated immediately. Julio P was our server and he was absolutely amazing! He was so attentive and even though the dining room was full he made us feel like we were his only table! Food was amazing we will definitely be back!

A Chicago institution. To try the deep fish pizzas are nothing incredible but it's a change from European pizzas.

Best deep dish pizza around.. we always stop here after trying several competitors. The cheese pull is out of this world, but the taste..... There is nothing like it. Don't eat any other deep dish pizza. Gino's East is the best.

Coming to Chicago? This pizzeria has been added to our must-stop list. We visited for a late-lunch. The deep-dish pizza, great service, and comfortable atmosphere make this place a hit!

I came to Chicago looking for a great deepdish and wasn't disappointed. Couldn't try them all but Gino's East was one of my top favorite. Great staff and my deepdish was perfect.
Be the first to ReplyEvery Pizza Lover Needs to Eat Here
I ate here many years ago for the first time and keep going back with each visit to Chicago! I ordered gluten free thin crust pizza here Friday of this past week - very good! Pizza is the best here! I really like that the sauce is not loaded with onions and strong tomatoes (as are other pizzas). The pepperoni was really delicious as well. The service, as always, was the best. I ate at the bar. The décor is something that I always thought was neat! I will return for pizza in the future!
Be the first to ReplyDon't Believe The Hype - This Is Poor Deep Dish Pizza
This was a huge disappointment. I had seen this place on the TV (Man Vs Food) several years ago and thought that it MUST be worth the trip. As Public Enemy said: "Don't Believe The Hype". Although it was an early dinner (5pm) I was told there was a 45-minute wait. "Not a problem I thought - it's my first night and I'm relaxing". When the food actually arrived, I was SO disappointed. It looked like it had been thrown together, the crust was soggy and the whole thing was just a mess. It didn't even taste nice. I ended up taking it to go, and gave it to a homeless lady. Hopefully it made her day, because it didn't make mine. Yes the place is funky and you can sign the wall if you want (you have to ask the staff for a pen, and the signing will not be easy because the marker they give you is enormous). If you want proper Deep Dish Pizza, there are better places to go. This is very poor.

Excellent atmosphere and amazing vibe. The deep dish pizza is positively delectable, especially the pizza crust is unique corn-made delicacy. Our customer service agent, Steve was great and very helpfule during placing order.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice family-friendly restaurant
Very nice family-friendly restaurant. We tried the famous Chicago deep pizza and we loved it. This was a nice location with easy to find a parking spot for our car. The food was delicious and very well made. The servers were very nice and professional. We will be back soon.
Be the first to ReplyMeaty & cheesy but not so easy.
Hyper-industrial & multi-story restaurant where I was unsure if I should order lunch or report for a shift machining wing nuts. Mid Sunday afternoon w/ plenty of room at the bar, but by the nature of the main attraction deep dish pizza, be prepared to occupy yourself for about 3/4 hour. Plenty of TV’s to see if so inclined.
Any small pie will run you ~$25 or more, w/ mushroom & patty sausage being my selection. Oddly, extra vegetable & protein ingredients were priced the same, so selectivity may be required. The casserole-like Chicago pizza is always satisfying, but I’ve had better than Gino’s version. While the sausage & sauce were excellent, 45’ in the oven were apparently not enough to fully melt the mozzarella layer. Noble effort but will try another when next in town.
FINALLY got to check off Geno's Pizza from my BUCKET LIST!!!!
GREAT lunch deal for 4 - pizza, salad and cookies at an affordable group price. SO yummy and the crust is to die for. I need to learn how they do that!!!!!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious as always
Delicious as always! While back visiting in Chicago we had to stop here again. The pizza and salad were both fantastic! Will definitely come back next time in Chicago.
Be the first to ReplyMy first Chicago Deep Dish pizza, but not my last!
I stopped in on a rainy night. I sat at the bar. I had a perfect Bombay Sapphire Martini and then a local IPA with my Chicago Deep Dish pizza. The pizza took 30 minutes but I watched four basketball games at once. The host and bartendress did a very good job. I had the small Chicago Fire Pizza with patty sausage, red peppers, and onions ($26). Delish and had some hot bites.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best pizzas of my life
This pizza was sooo delicious, we want to come back here, i should mention that you should go before you are hungry, deep dish pizzas take like 40 minutes to be ready but they are worth it
Be the first to ReplyIt was ok
The pizza was decent, but not any better or worse than the other major pizza places in town. The service was abysmal. I had to find my waitress quite a few times because it was so long in between visits to my table. Be warned, one pizza takes at least 45 minutes, which they don't tell you, so be prepared for a wait. While this is standard for deep dish, when something takes that long, they need to check their tables between "here is your water" and the pizza. Would probably not return over the other pizza places in town. also kind of expensive for what it was.
Be the first to ReplySpinach mozzarella sticks so good
Went for deep dish and decided to try the spinach mozzarella sticks...so amazing and good. Mostly spinach with the right amount of cheese, awesome marinara. The deep dish is every bit as good as I remember from many years ago when I lived near here.
Be the first to ReplyAlways perfect!
We have been enjoying Gino’s for almost 50 years! We were suburban residences for many of those years and now live in the northwest corner of IL. However, a visit to Chicago would be incomplete without a Supreme Gino’s Pizza! Jordan served us in the bar area and he was very pleasant and attentive!
Covid precautions were definitely visible!
Keep up the great work, all employees there!
Tasty deep-dish
We chose this place because it was right next door to the hotel where my daughter and I were staying. Neither of us were disappointed. We went at about 5 p.m., got seated right away and enjoyed the deep dish we ordered. No complaints here!
Be the first to ReplyJust ok
I had good memories about Ginos and have had very good pizza in Chicago. Thought it would be a great time for family, but the pizza was disappointing and the service was dismal .
