Tucked away in a quiet rural spot, Giuseppe's is an enjoyable dining experience with an upscale, yet family feel. The service is attentive and warm. Meals are tasty and come out on time. Overall, it presents a good experience.
Great staff, quick and responsive service.
The food is amazing. Every time my wife and I visit Lexington we always make reservations. It is truly the best Italian we've ever had. The ambiance is nice, would recommend going in early for a quieter meal but if you don't mind happy customers being a little loud then feel free to go anytime.
Great Italian
Nice atmosphere. A little expensive but food is delicious . Bring you crusty bread with dipping oil and spices. Had arancini appetizer. Ordered chicken parm and spaghetti with meat sauce. The meat sauce may be the best I have ever had. Our family has an “old country” recipe with many ingredients that simmers for half a day, and this meat sauce was as good or better! Had a wonderful waitress.
Amazing food as expected.

Ok - it’s hard to find but definitely worth the hunt ! First time here but won’t be the last. Food is exceptional. Salads are huge and lasagna and pork chop both fantastic. Corey was our server and 5 star. Very knowledgeable about food and wine and attentive but never rushed us. We would go back just for the crème brûlée. Will post this on Trip Advisor as well.

Love the tablecloths/cloth napkins. Bar looked welcoming but full of happy people = next time we'll go early to our reservation so we can enjoy that too. And reservation IS essential! Huge martini and manhattan and also the entrees = next time we'll share. Calamari was crispy, good bread, and I followed with the chicken picata and husband the pepperoni pasta. All delicious. Our server was professional and friendly.

From the moment we entered, I knew this was a special place.
The service, atmosphere, and the food were all 5 star. We were in town to run a 5K at Run the Bluegrass and called last minute for a reservation. We got in within 30 minutes and were definitely so glad we called. It was the best spaghetti bolognese I've ever tasted. Portions are huge! I can't wait to return whenever I'm back in Lexington!

Well, Where to begin.
It has been at least 20 years since we have eaten at Giuseppe and based off memory it was pretty good. So, I thought i would have my wife and I anniversary there. Memory did not fail. It was as good/better then I remember. We was a party of 7 everyone of which enjoyed and was going on about. The service was outstanding everyone was professional and delightful. Now my kids are asking when we are going back.

Excellent Appetizers The new appetizer item of chicken meatballs with a smoked gouda dipping sauce is a delicious addition. As always, the fried oysters and prosciutto wrapped asparagus dazzle. Thank you Liz for superb service.

We visited for Valentine’s Day once again, with zero disappointments. Autumn took exceptional care of us! The sea bass is consistently good! We highly suggest it! The calamari was excellent as well. We love the jazzy musician and the ambiance.

Great atmosphere. The service was 5-stars. The food was equally good and delicious. Wonderfully prepared. The restrooms are clean and well kept. Always important at a restaurant. We went with a group of 4 and were extremely pleased. We all left full and happy. We will be back on our next visit to Lexington.

The best Italian restaurant with best ambiance in Lexington.
It took so many years of living in Lex and going to more obvious/less satisfying Italian restaurants before finally going past Man-O-War to try out Giuseppe's. Lively place, NICE SEATINGS (very important to me - are you like me and HATE those tiny tables lined up in a row within inches of each other? When I see this as the option I immediately leave). Every time I'm been to Giuseppe's I've been seated in a different location, all were nice tables, felt intimate even in a noisy setting, separate from other diners so you didn't have to hear their conversation or watch what they ate. Very comfortable. They had live music several times I was there, all good, made the experience more special than just dining out. Not a single dish so far disappointed. Also all wait staff, hostesses etc very kind and friendly. I don't typically dress up just to go out to eat (or ever if I can help it), which at some Lex restaurants will get you the "look" from the staff. At Giuseppe's all gracious, welcoming, good food, pretty restaurant a short drive out of town, what's not to like!
EXPENSIVE.
It was expensive but delicious! Celebrating my mother in laws 90th birthday, they made her feel special with a complimentary piece of red velvet cake and a saxophone happy birthday song. It made her day of happy tears. I got a little misty myself. The parking lot is small and a lot parked roadside, just off the main road and kind of hidden. Reservations only. Our waiter was attentive and informative about the menu and specials.
Delightful Dinner Experience
We went here for dinner in December 2023, and it was delicious. We had reservations and were promptly seated on time. Our waiter did an excellent job making sure that we were taken care of. We started the meal with Funghi Al Forno, which were delicious. I then had an Insalata Verde and Tortellini Di Simpson, both of which were excellent. My wife and the four friends we were at dinner with all enjoyed their dishes and service as well. I would highly recommend.
The best meal of our vacation
Excellent service, great ambience, and the best meal of our trip. My Seabass entrée easily could have fed both of us, and visit on Monday for half-price bottles of wine. Our server, Tim was personable and efficient, with great recommendations. Highly encourage you to visit, you will not regret it.
Midiocre food and expensive noot worth it.
Prepare to be disappointed. Very expensive and not that good. We bought into all the TV ads. We'll not be back.
Top Notch
What a hidden gem! Great dinner. I highly recommend the frutti do mare. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the sauce was perfectly spicy and creamy. I also had a perfect Caesar salad including anchovies. My server Julia was amazing! So attentive and perfect recommendations. A must dine here experience!
No Guarantees, Even With a Reservation
Not the place for a classy dining experience. We had a quiet dinner two years ago, so we made a reservation well in advance, noting it was for an anniversary. We arrived ten minutes early and were greeted politely at the front desk, the hostess wishing us a "happy anniversary." As we were being led to our table, I expressed concern that we were apparently going to be seated near the bar in a loud and busy location, but were told "it's not that loud this early." The bar area was less than ten feet from our table, and above my wife's head -- 15 feet away -- was a large screen TV with a ball game on. No one came for about four minutes, so we listened to the loud talking and laughing at the bar (not their fault -- that's what bars are for); we left disappointed. Perhaps this is still a great place for large noisy gatherings and bar life, but apparently a romantic dinner is a crapshoot.
Wonderful date night
My husband and I had anniversary dinner at Giuseppe's, and the drinks, food, and service were outstanding as always. Husband's filet was perfectly cooked. The spicy carrot bisque was delicious. They gave us a free dessert to share, and we were thrilled to find that on Monday evenings, wine bottles were half-off.
Never a bad meal
What a place! Scott handled our group of six like a pro and the kitchen staff was spot on. The sea bass was the most popular entree of the group, but I ordered my favorite creation. Fried oysters over a bed of cooked spinach. Then covered with their lobster chili butter sauce. OMG So good! This is not on the menu. I asked if they could do this a couple years ago and always perfect. It also is great over pasta. They stay busy, so reservations are needed. Great restaurant!
Class Act
Arrived at restaurant with reservations for 8 people . Hostess very apologetic as she could not locate our reservations. She spoke to manager and they were able to accommodate us in a very timely manner. Food was excellent. Service amazing. Everyone very professional in providing the very best outcome to a potentially disastrous evening.
Too Noisy
The restaurant is marketed as a romantic and elegant venue. We had dinner last night with another couple and had a reservation. When we arrived we were seated in the bar area and not the main dining room. There was a table of 8 loud and boisterous intoxicated patrons who likely had been sitting there for 15-20 minutes and likely started their alcohol consumption earlier in the day at Keeneland. Immediately I realized that this table was so loud that we would not be able to have any type of conversation . Even the waiter had to shout at us. I asked to be moved and noticed empty tables in the actual restaurant. The manager refused to move us to a quiter area. They also refused to ask the patrons to tone it down. Even the waiter commented how quiet it became when this loud and intoxicated group left . Unfortunately we finished our meal by the time they left. Only the waiter apologized. Not the management! I have been a long time patron of this restaurant but will never return. The ambience is only nice on the restaurant side and they have expanded their reservations to include the not so nice enclosed patio and bar area

* ElaborateHouse74, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* ElaborateHouse74 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to ElaborateHouse74 for any questions Peter may have as ElaborateHouse74 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* ElaborateHouse74 now uses their connections at Giuseppe's Ristorante Italiano Lexington to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If ElaborateHouse74 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, ElaborateHouse74 receives the $200 reward which is credited to ElaborateHouse74's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
