Soooooo Only EAT IN, Do NOT Order Delivery!!! I've Ordered Several Times Through 'Uber Eats', I NEVER Get My Complete Order and The Last Time I Called & The Manager Himself Said 'My Bad' Concerning The Entire Missing 'Family Size' Dessert Today, I called in hopes of advance 'warning' that I'd appreciate My ENTIRE ORDER, for The 1st Time,, I was Immediately put on 'hold' (simply put the phone down on the counter) when I asked to speak to a manager & spent the next 20 minutes listening to the young cashier & the different males, including said manager, work/laugh/joke/ UNTIL Said Manager picked up the phone receiver & hung it up. And Yep, 1&1/2 hours later, (2.7 miles), I AS USUAL, Received A Partial Order, and The Said Manager Responded With, I Quote, I don't know that 2 '4 person meals' are 'large family meals' BUT I Gave You 5 Yeast Rolls out of The 20 that You Paid For!! Moral of The Story Is,,, EAT IN, DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY!!!

Was excited to go have Sunday brunch and we came to the Golden Valley location rather than Maplewood. Won't make that mistake ever again. The GV location is terrible. Missing so much of what we've come to expect to be offered for brunch. Lots of empty and/or over cooked items and lots of low quality duplicates. Very very little variety.
Be the first to ReplyNo this is legit the nastiest place I have ever ate at.
the employees were so rude and the floor was so sticky that i basically stuck in place. the food was INEDIBLE! How is this place running???? Like i seriously thought i was having a nightmare.

YIKES if he consumed this.. you have lost a loyal Costumer today!
Be the first to ReplyFor my tastes, the food is still mediocre.
I don't expect much from places like this, but occasionally I like to go. I usually have the baked chicken, but this time it appeared to be steam cooked, having soft pale skin. It tasted okay, but I do like a bit of crispy skin. I always stay away from the meat station. The ribs looked over-cooked. The area around the griddle was dirty. The only choice for fried chicken was breast. No wings, legs or thighs. Utensils were dirty. The plates/bowls, being plastic, are getting scratched; look worn out. It's always necessary to inspect them first. It took a good five minutes before I could get a soup spoon. Too many tables were not cleared in a timely manner. The floor was filthy everywhere. I didn't dare venture into the bathroom. Liquid items like the gravies had a skin on them. I don't plan on going back. If I happen to win a certificate from doing their survey, maybe I'll try the other location, but both are around twenty miles from home, and it's not really worth the trip. Now I'm thinking it was slightly better quality back when it was Old Country. The menu is pretty much identical. As per my review from seven years ago, it is better than McD's, and better than TV dinners, so I can see why some people think the food is quite good here. It's a shame the White Castle that was less than two miles away closed down. ;-)
Be the first to ReplyThis place is disgusting! The food was old and crusty.
Barely any food out at 630pm on a Friday. Bathroom was flooded to the point of the tiles squishing under feet. Was def not worth the $75 for 4 people. No toppings for ice cream and barely any salad toppings or salad dressings. Will never eat here again. No cups for drinks. Looks like it is ran by teenagers.

It was our first time visiting this place and it will definitely be our last. As we walked up to the counter to pay, after waiting about 20mins, I could tell that Ms. Bennie behind the counter hated her job. She kept calling out to the lord during our whole interaction and got irritated that I couldn't immediately find the pen to sign my receipt. Upon finding a table to sit, I noticed how filthy the place was. There was food all over the ground, empty plates on dirty tables, and napkins everywhere. The beverage station was crazy. There were random cups just laying around. Ice filled the whole soda dispenser. The food was okay, although, there were a lot of empty items. There were ZERO soup bowls. Even after asking, they were never brought out. Overall, very disappointing experience.

I went there on a Thursday to check the place out and take a look at their "party room" that they make a big deal about reserving. I reserved it for 1:30 pm on Sunday, for a birthday party for my father, and watched it get written in on the scheduling calendar. When our party of about 18 people arrived, the party room was full of a church group who, we were told, had "reserved" it for 1 pm, but no one in the place knew who had reserved it, and it wasn't on the schedule. We all had to sit in the dining room for 20 min, waiting for the group to leave, then we went in. The food was mediocre to poor. the place was packed wall to wall for 3 hours, and food was spilled all over the floor around the buffet serving areas. NEVER AGAIN.
Be the first to ReplyToday was my first time eating at this location.
I eat out at many places frequently with my family so I was curious about this location. The food was good, the service was pleasant? However there was a very disgruntled female manager there. I was 9 months pregnant and we had our 3 year old son with us. My husband and I were also there. At the end of our meal I grabbed 2 cookies, one for me and one for my son. It was a treat for him eating up so well and we were leaving the restaurant. All of a sudden a lady screamed "MAAM, EXCYSE ME!". I immediately turned around thinking I must have dropped something! There was a female manager who screamed "THOSE ARE ONE PER PERSON!" I said, "oh, yeah, there's a family of 5 here and I have two cookies. I then turned to walk out the door and she SCREAMED "YOU CAN NOT TAKE THOSE WITH YOU! IF I LET YOU DO IT THEN I HAVE TO KET EVERYONE DO IT!" I was SHOCKED. Like, it's two cookies, one for a 3 year old and one for me - a pregnant lady. I looked around for a second shocked, and EVERYONE near the back door was STARING. I said, "Ok. I can finish them right here, no problem." I then heard a few guests talking and started sympathize I guess with me, including many telling me they will never return to that restaurant again. I had contemplated just dropping the damn cookies on the floor and walking out - just because of the disrespect, however I did not do that. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NEVER GOING TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT OR LOCATION EVER AGAIN. If I could leave a negative review, I would.
Be the first to ReplyI have been to their other location, but definitely not to
I have been to their other location, but definitely not to this one, until recently. As we were in the area, we thought it would be a good time to check it out, especially for some good lunch. I do have to say, I was half-expecting for it to be busy, especially during lunch like around noon. I mean, there were plenty of people, but it wasn't even half full. I did like how we can pretty much decide where we could find a table. I did want to sit near the drink station, as we were a little bit closer to the food itself. Of course when we were getting our food I had to remember that even though they had real silverware, we didn't put it onto any of our plates, until we were done with our meal. I really liked how I could eat to my hearts content. I mean I had mashed potatoes, meatloaf, a slice of pizza, various cuts of meats, a taco or two, a small slice of fish. Plus some cheesecake, pudding, a cookie or two, and some food that I don't remember off the top of my head. What I liked, was the fact I can eat to my hearts content, and I wanted more to a small portions. So I didn't get full quicker and definitely get my money's worth. It is far better to go for lunch than dinner, as it is not only cheaper, but not as crowded as well. It would be most fun to go back, as not only was the food really good, but it was worth the price, and cool friendly people that happened to work there.
Be the first to ReplyVery good food for a buffet chain, especially for the price.
Desserts were a bit limited when I went, but it was later in the evening, so I imagine they weren't going to be replenished at that point. I will go back
