Unprofessional Behavior
My experience was overall positive. The gentleman attending my table (the one without glasses) was knowledgeable and very professional. I was not overtaken by the food but the ambiance was nice. One thing I did not like was that they apparently close at 15.00, and I did not know that. However since I noticed people were leaving I asked whether they closed at 15.00 and the staff told me not to worry (my set of plates kept coming, and it wasn't because I was eating slow, in fact I waited for several plates before they could arrive). So as a result of slow service, I had to continue eating past 15.00 and even rushed through the desert which I could not enjoy peacefully. Slow service is not ideal, but tolerable. What I did not like was the attitude of the gentleman waiter with glasses who made signs of impatience and it seemed he was making remarks about the situation, which I am not responsible for, to other waiters. This is not professional and inappropriate for a restaurant of this stature. The whole situation was due to slow service. Next time the restaurant might consider serving faster or cancel slots like 13.30, to make more time as the restaurant closes at 15 to prepare for the dinner service.
Warning, Beware.
Just an overall letdown in every way shape and form for the tasting menu here. every single piece of food was either nauseating the smell or nauseating to taste. The first course consisted of watermelon granita which in my experience is pretty hard to mess up, but somehow sprinkled with chives and a crunchy tasteless Ice chunk underneath it. that was the moose bush. Proceeding, it was the prosciutto in Milan, which was prosciutto melon, and stracciatella cheese. For some reason this was spicy. The seafood polenta and succulent leaves, which was the third course on the tasting menu made me vomit in my mouth. It was the saltiest most cat food like experience I have ever had at a restaurant that essentially brags about charging €170 per menu. If you want to spend €170 in Italy, do not come here and do not try to eat any of the tasting menu. I cannot speak for the à la carte other than the tortellini with Parmesan, which was again just doused in Parmesan cheese, there was no actual thought or effort that went into creating that dish or making it a meaningful experience on the plate. Apparently, that was the chef signature dish which disappoints me to a whole different extent as someone who truly loves food and is in the culinary industry.

I thought the Gucci portion was a gimmick but was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. Food quality and service was excellent. The starters that were included were small and tasty with the watermelon ice, bread sticks, and espresso imitation soup. We got 2 courses and thought it would be light, but it is insanely filling! The spaghetti and tortellini combined was already way too much food. Both were excellent texture and taste. The beef with caviar seemed small but was very filling. The fish with chips on top was very large in size. There is no way we could have finished 3 each! The bread they bring out was piping hot. Just perfect with olive oil. All in all, great service and food.

The service was flawless from the very first moment -- warm, welcoming, and effortlessly refined. They seated me at the best table in the house without knowing it was my birthday, and the entire experience felt like it was crafted just for me. The chef, Massimo Bottara, holds 3 Michelin stars, and every detail showed it -- from the artistry of each dish to the perfect balance of flavors. I thanked them for an exceptional birthday experience as I left and the host scrambled to the back to bring me a gift - completely unnecessary, but very charming as the whole experience. It was more than just a meal; it was a memory I'll treasure forever. If you're ever in Florence and want to experience true culinary excellence, this is the place.
A Fortunate, Unplanned Evening at Gucci Osteria
My wife and I made an unplanned stopover in Florence on our way to Tuscany. While commuting from Munich, we booked a hotel and, upon arrival, I checked the Michelin Guide for restaurants. I was lucky enough to secure a table at Enoteca Pinchiorri for the following day, and I browsed through the other Michelin-starred options as well. As evening approached, we decided to simply stroll through the beautiful streets of Florence, feeling confident we’d find a decent place to dine. Somehow, after about 30 minutes of walking, we ended up in front of Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura — and on a whim, decided to “crash” without a reservation. Perhaps by divine intervention, they’d had a cancellation and just one vacant table remained. Before being seated, the staff asked whether we had looked at the menu — we hadn’t — but we reassured them that while we were walk-ins, we weren’t strangers to fine dining. Our waiter, though a bit skeptical, handed us the menu and explained our options: a tasting menu or à la carte. We initially opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing, but the waiter returned shortly after to inform us that the set menu had to be pre-ordered. A bit unusual, perhaps, but we assumed the kitchen simply couldn’t accommodate the full menu so late in the evening. Fair enough — we gladly went à la carte. We chose two starters and a main — and coincidentally, my wife and I agreed on all three dishes: Cinta Senese smoked shoulder Journey to Modena Rossini, Thanks Instead of the wine pairing, we shared a bottle of Champagne and a bottle of Brunello. To keep it short: the food was fantastic. The only small comment would be that the Cinta Senese smoked shoulder portion was quite large — easily shareable — and had we known, we might have ordered an additional course. As the evening wound down, we found ourselves among the last guests and had the unexpected pleasure of meeting the two talented chefs as they made their rounds after service ready to answer questions about the food. We hadn’t done much homework before walking in, but it’s clear most guests come well prepared when dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant bearing Massimo Bottura’s name. All in all, a wonderful, spontaneous evening with excellent food, wine, and service. We’re already looking forward to returning — and next time, we’ll make sure to reserve in advance so we can try the full tasting menu.

We had a lunch that was simply unforgettable.Each dish was full of surprises and second to none . Service was impeccable.This just got itself on our top 3 of places to go to.Honestly this is far above a one star Michelin. PS 1 I wonder if the people writing negative reviews even went to the place. When they quote a 1k menu , I wonder if was they meant rubles or pesos ? Suggest you look at the website to get an idea of the price rather than reading idiotic and/or nonsense reviews PS 2 we went to Casa Maria Luigia as well as a few other reputable places. Please don’t rely on reviews written by people that comment based on personal biases without understanding what top cuisine is

Not Worth the Price
Disappointing. We really wanted to love it and the space is cute. However, at $1k a person for the tasting menu and premium wine pairing, save your money and go downstairs and buy a new pair of shoes instead. We should have left after the amuse-bouche. One of the bites tasted like the cheese twists they give you on flights and the other tasted like a communion cracker filled with mediocre pate. My least favorite bite was the squab. (We ordered extra on top of the tasting menu). It was filled with what tasted like the gizzards you get in the little bag of a turkey from the grocery store. I had to wash it down with wine to keep from spitting it out. Now, not all the food was bad. The tortellinis were good and so was the bagel- Breakfast at Gucci. As for service, it was ok. It wasn’t what you expect of an expensive tasting menu. I also didn’t think the premium wine was worth it. If I went back, I would do the regular pairing. Despite the food, my friends and I had a fun time entertaining ourselves. Final verdict: go shopping instead and go to Alchemist if you feel like spending $1k on dinner for an experience that will really wow you.

Gorgeous room, fabulous service, beautiful presentation--but the emperor has no clothes! The food was frankly-terrible. First the amuse bouches--beautiful, but mostly a mish mash of tastes--the textures were ok but there was a bitter note in at least one of these that really didn't taste good. I also disliked their choice of house Francicorta-and I am typically a fan of this wine. The first course was artichokes three ways--which was again, simply not good. The creamy component was overly heavy, and the overall taste was not so much of artichoke as it was of vinegar. Next I had the tortellini--and while they were tiny and beautifully made, the overall taste was heavy and a bit insipid. There was a bread course served with olive oil and butter, which seemed promising (how could warm crusty bread and olive oil be anything but wonderful?) but even the bread had a bitter aftertaste that made it unpleasant. Even the little sweets presented at the end of the meal were not good-- bitter cocoa nibs over an insipid chocolate cream, but there was a tasteless gelatin layer in between that made it unpleasant to eat, and the cantucci dipped in chocolate was soft, not crunchy as it should have been. I was really looking forward to eating at one of Massimo Bottura's restaurants, but if he is willing to put his name on this, then I am not such a fan after all. Sadly disappointing.
Amazing dining experience from the atmosphere, the service
Amazing dining experience from the atmosphere, the service (I believe we had 6 or 8 servers), the fun play on norms with the courses. The atmosphere is very beautiful, like an elegant parlor. A place where you can sit and enjoy but the food is the star. Staff was well trained and well versed in the menu items as well as the whimsy that comes across in the food. The food was amazing. From welcome course to final final course. A delicious experience. For example, in the second desert course, the meringues all taste different and have different consistencies and the pool of raspberry and cassis is just amazing with the chestnut and toasted meringue. An out of this world experience.

This place has the ambience and while you're going for the Michelin rated food, the ambience is slightly superior than the food. The design of the plates and interior of the restaurant are something to appreciated. The food was flavorful, service was excellent and I appreciated the diversity of the dining clientele. Very young to older couples, there was a couple that brought in a well behaved dog (!), and they also had a high chair setup for a young child. If I was to recommend a Michelin and Florence inspired dining experience, this would be it.
Hard to swallow food but excellent service
The place is beautiful, lovely location and very very kind staff. However, the food was not so delicious. It looks nice in photos but the taste wasn’t within expectation. The flavors were very weird. The mix of flavors were hard to swallow. I had to eat bread to keep myself full. The banana dessert, however, was really good. I wouldn’t want to eat a meal there again but the dessert, service, design and ambiance was excellent.
Beautiful experience
We left Rome to go to Florence and have dinner in this restaurant. Excellent service, with highly trained waiters attentive to our needs. My glass never remained empty, as soon as I finished it they immediately came to refill it before I even noticed. Lots of small attentions of this kind that made us feel appreciated. We found the chef's taste bizarre at times. I don't want to be offensive but the coffee with beans was truly abominable. The location is very beautiful even if small and absolutely in line with the Gucci style. To tell the truth, even the cuisine is in line with the concept of the brand, which, as we know, in terms of combinations is certainly eccentric and does not always turn out well. This also applies to the cuisine we found. Excellent wine pairing. However, the cuisine is of the highest quality, perhaps the taste is subjective as we are not used to certain combinations coming from Mexico. A note of merit goes to the chamomile and lavender cocktail. Spectacular, I would have liked to continue drinking it forever.
Not So Friendly Restaurant
I booked a reservation for party of 8 people for lunch on March 30. I received an email the night before stating that there was some issues with the private room and they have to put us in the main dining room, which is not an issue. Upon arrival, we were split into two tables, which is not an issue either. Since we never dine at this restaurant before, we needed additional explanation on the menu as they were all in Italian. We had a difficult time understanding what the dishes are. However, the server did not seem very professional nor friendly in explaining the menu. We asked about the a la carte menu and he said it's not available at this restaurant but available at the Gucci Bistro, which is next door. We asked if we can go to the Gucci Bistro, he said it's not an issue. My daughter asked again if they will have a table for 8 people and he said it's fine. We walked over to the Gucci Bistro but they cannot accommodate party of 8. The server just left without saying a word to us. We were stranded - left standing outside the Gucci Bistro and not knowing what to do. I understand this restaurant is a Michelin Star but I don't believe the restaurant has a good reputation in attending to the customer's needs. It's almost a disgrace to the Michelin Star rating as "service" is another important element in the restaurant business. I did email Gucci Osteria and they did apologize for the mishap and offered us free tickets to the Gucci Museum. I replied back yes I would like the tickets but by the time they got around to it, it was very late on an Easter Sunday.
Perfect dinner
Truly a great experience! To repeat!. Super friendly service and all excellent dishes. Even the famous tortellini with parmesan cream in a gluten-free version! Extensive wine list as befits a restaurant of this level but with slightly high mark-ups. We will definitely be back!

If you think about the location designed by Gucci and the cuisine designed by Massimo Bottura it deserves the star on trust... in reality you will realize that the difference is made by the two starred chefs, husband and wife Taka and Karime and their different origins in a perfect balance of flavours. . some dishes have become iconic such as the tostada .. Gucci osteria does not disappoint and surprises with every course .. the dining room staff is kind and knowledgeable .. all in the setting of Piazza della Signoria with a view of Palazzo Vecchio .. super recommended !! !

Despite this being a Michelin star restaurant - the experience was very distasteful. We felt uncomfortable the whole time. The waiters are extremely cocky and quite full of themselves. We were in Florence looking for both the Italian cuisine and the iconic house of Gucci; thought this place would be perfect - however, we came to find that the menu was Mexican/Japanese inspired by a Mexican Chef. Go somewhere else and get yourself some real Tuscan food with much better service!!!

Unfortunately, the expectations, which were really high, did not satisfy our experience. After the first course we asked for the bill and left. Very kind and helpful staff. The coffee with the beans inside was not to our liking. Sin.
TOP cuisine, mediocre service
I was in this beautiful place on a Tuesday evening; I would say the room had a filling rate of 60%. Taken the suovenir with 7 courses and matching wines. The dishes, a discovery. Good, well balanced and which followed each other well. I was expecting something more refined such as porcelain, cutlery and especially glasses. The service, cheesy. Being sponsored by GUCCI certainly has its reasons.
Something you don't expect from Florence
Despite the hesitation due to the particularity of the dishes, certainly not typical of the area, @gucciosteria in Florence was a pleasant revelation. In fact, it is a cuisine strongly influenced by the Mexican culture of chef @karylmt and her husband @championtaka._ of Japanese origin. The two, together with the collaboration of @massimobottura who guarantees the excellence of the place, have managed to create a perfect union between two totally discordant culinary cultures. The flavors of the Far East and Latin America come together to create something unique, balanced and surprisingly pleasant. The place is rather simple without too many frills, but the service was excellent and the final result is without a doubt worthy of a star @michelinguide.
One of the most indescribable dinners
Dinner at the Gucci osteria is a mix of flavors and indescribable emotions, the tasting menu is made up of two options with great dishes and reinterpretations by the chefs, with each dish you receive a memorable surprise. By far one of the best places to be impressed.

I’ve lost trust in the Michelin ratings. The focus seems to be more on presentation, with little attention to the harmony of flavors. The staffs are nice, interior design of the space is cute, and the dishes look good in photos, but the taste is hard to discern. It appears to be a mix of Mexican, Japanese and Italian cuisine, creating a somewhat discordant combination.

Amazing experience. The food is top notch and the experience is excellent for the price. Everything is delicious. This was truly an unforgettable experience and I hope to be back if I am ever in Italy again.
Very poor - not Michelin star standard
Dined here with my wife on a recent trip to Florence. We were left thoroughly disappointed, and I wish I’d heeded some of the other reviews here. Firstly, the food was good. Interesting flavours and concepts, once you accept there’s not going to be much Italian or Florentine influence in the meal. We opted for one of the tasting menus and the additional “Journey from Modena,” with wine pairing. My wife wanted a martini to start dinner but was told they could only make the cocktails on the list - which was a bit of a red flag - so we opted for one of their own cocktails. The waiter poured the water with such ferocity, I thought he was trying to put out a fire - not something I expect in a one star restaurant. The wine pairing was a waste of time. For €140pp I’d have rather had a decent bottle of wine. Portions were measly. For one course, when the food came, we had no wine. Thankfully it was a cold course as we had to wait for the pairing. No apology. Very poor explanation of the wines and why they were paired, just “this is a pinot noir from x and will go well with y.” The food service was so inconsistent. On one occasion, we were served two courses within 11 minutes of each other then waited 40 minutes for the following course. The wine for the following course came 25 minutes before the food, and by the time the food arrived there wasn’t much wine left. To add insult to injury I found a cocktail stick in the chicken which I could have easily swallowed. No apology. For some reason, a loaf of bread arrived half way though dinner. This was after we had some focaccia at the beginning of our meal - when you would ordinarily expect bread. The desserts came and we still had no mention of the “Journey from Modena” but my wife and I both agreed we were done with the restaurant, and were ready to go. All of sudden these two plates of scorching hot tortellini landed, creamy cheese and meat. In astonishment, I questioned the waiter why this was coming after having the two desserts, to which he said, “it’s the way Massimo would want. You can have tortellini at any time!” This was not the time for a cheesy pasta, not after having two sweets. We sent it back and asked for the bill. They removed the dish from the bill and the cocktails. Overall, a very disappointed experience. I don’t say this lightly as I have a lot of respect for Massimo Bottura, but this restaurant does not deserve a Michelin star, and the conflation of Gucci and Massimo is why people go here. The service is a real area of concern. Not worth almost €800.

I'll admit some things I loved more than others. That being said - I'd recommend going. I took plenty of pictures so I hope that helps. Please make a point of using their fabulous bathroom. It's beautiful.

One would come here for the experience of being served well and for the name Gucci. The service was great, food was well presented. The servers served the food with a scripted information. The atmosphere was a bit underwhelming. And of the 3 hour dining experience, the focaccia was the best... I didn't find the food flavorful or memorable. It was a gift so we were grateful but it is not what we would choose for ourselves.

With a fantastic location (even better: mostly in the shade) on the Piazza della Signoria, and a classic interior, next to the Gucci museum, what could go wrong? Very little. The plates were excellent. The lobster and begonia leaf taco, the eel and pumpkin ravioli, the Chianina (beef) with caviar, and the cleverly executed cod covered in fried cod scales (unfortunately, not as visually exciting as it could be). Oh, and the (50/50) butter/olive oil to make the three different kinds of bread "healthier." Or tastier. One of those. And the servers were more than hospitable to the tourists. Maybe a little too hospitable. I was a bit disappointed when a second couple with a baby carriage entered, but luckily they were too late for lunch service. Hopefully, the first baby in the restaurant was using the only high chair. But I doubt it. I understand restaurants need to make money, but please let everyone know, before they make a reservation, that "screaming infants, who cannot possibly appreciate our chef's efforts, are more than welcome to disrupt the meals of any or all of our other paying guests." I'll probably return, but I'll definitely ask for the non-infant seating area. 2023 09 06. M1.
Fun and Engaging experience.
Can't lie, We were pretty skeptical coming here because of the Hype and it not living up to expectations, but it did! Loved everything from the amuse bouches down to the mains. Every dish triggered some memory and plating was immaculate and what youd expect. I personally also have an added bonus of having a reference point in going to Pujol and being from California so seeing the elevation and combination of Italian and Mexican cuisines was fun to see and experience. Would definitely recommend if you're in for a more whimsical meal in an alice in wonderland type of environment!

But we don't go to Michelin star restaurants to take pictures, we go for an amazing gastronomic experience. We were there last night and it was terrible. The bill was over €400 for my husband and I and we decided that out of the 10 dishes(we chose the larger nine course menu and added a course from the other option) we had only 3 were worthy of a second try. It wasn't a matter of taste either, one was completely over salted, pasta was almost crunchy it was so undercooked among other simple errors. We have been to 4 Michelin starred restaurants and many other fine dining establishments and I would never come here again. Do not waste your money unless you just want to take pictures of the food and be seen here.
The only bad I can think of: the WiFi is horrible.
I loved the interior of the restaurant. It was soothing and complimented the city around it. The food was excellent. I enjoyed 2 of the 3 appetizers, I just couldn't get myself to enjoy the bao. For mains we ordered the spaghetti and cod. Both of them where very tasty. The service. Wow! Excellent service. I truly have never experienced 1 star Michelin service like this before. Yes it pretty pricey and I might do it again.

Friendly staff, dishes were not at all what a michelinstar should bring. Lot of attention was paid to the design of the interior but it would have been better to use this energy in improving the dishes.
Michelin redemption
We are well seasoned fine diners and visited many Michelin Star restaurants around the world. However our last experience at Mugaritz in Spain was so bad I had suddenly lost my confidence with fine dining. I need not have worried. This place is fantastic with such an interesting and tasty menu. We went for the Our Souvenirs menu which was full of delicious highlights. The cod, Chianina and desert were favourites. Service felt a little tense when we arrived but soon relaxed and helped make the evening very special and restored our faith in Michelin Star ratings!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Gucci Osteria in Florence and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the luxurious ambiance and impeccable service. The 5-course meal with wine pairing was simply outstanding, and each dish was expertly crafted with the finest Italian ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the cannoli course which was cooked to perfection and the wine pairing that perfectly complemented the flavors.The attention to detail throughout the meal was unparalleled, from the beautiful presentation of each dish to the warm and attentive service. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside, as you would expect. I would highly recommend the Gucci Osteria to anyone who wants to experience the ultimate in fine dining. It's a true culinary masterpiece that left me feeling happy and satisfied long after the meal was over. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit and I would love to go back.
We walled in and the staff was attentive but formal.
We sat With a view of Palazzo Vecchio and the Gucci Gardens.We had the expresso, cappuccino and a glass of Champagne. The coffees were nice with a touch of chocolate. The Champagne arrived with a series of salty food items to enhance the drink.The waiter was super formal, super young and super nervous. He could not figure out how to balance his serving tray and serve the drinks. It all worked out but added to a fun experience.
