Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Burnaby Reviews from The Last Year
The place is convenience, spacious and bright.
The service is great, may be I get better service because I speak Chinese. We were there last night and we are a group of 4. The food is abundance because we choose all you can eat. Besides the things we can order from the paper, they also provide some finger food such as spring rolls, french fries and sesame balls at the self service counter which you can create your own sauce. The quality is great. As it was my birthday, I asked if I can get a discount, they told me it is free for me! Yeah...very generous! You just need to show your photo ID. We order the first round and once we finished, we were so full. We didn't even order any starch product such as noodles or rice. Time limit is 2 hrs and at the end, they have special desert which is not on the menu. Yesterday was popsicle. One thing I noticed from yesterday, we should only order the good stuff, such as meat, leave others behind. The reason I said it because they give extra portion for the items we check on the list. eg, luncheon meat, we order 2 pcs, but comes with 8. sweet potatoes, same. As it is all you can eat, we have to finish it everything because any left over over 250g, they will charge you the original price...it is stated in the paper. I also found out they have daytime special. Currently it is 31.99/pp and if it is 11.30-4pm, 25% discount. I recommend this restaurant and will revisit again for sure.

I came to this restaurant for a birthday dinner for the first time and came back in the very same week. I love hot pot, however sometimes it is difficult finding meal sets that work for me as I can only eat fish and chicken. Happy Lamb however provides all you can eat option for a great price which many options on the menu and even a sauce bar. The service here is friendly and fast with delivering the food, which is well worth the short wait. The atmosphere here is definitely on the louder side more bustling kind way but in way that is fun and enjoyable, it's the kinda eating experience that is great to go out with friends or a big group!
Nestled in Burnaby by Metro, Happy Lamb promises
Nestled in Burnaby by Metro, Happy Lamb promises unforgettable dining. Warmly greeted, we settled at sleek tables with induction cookers. The menu, diverse, offered broths, meats, seafood, veggies, and noodles. Classic spicy Sichuan and mild herbal broths delighted. Fresh ingredients arrived promptly. Thinly sliced beef and lamb melted, while shrimp and fish balls were plump. Fresh veggies provided contrast. We relished cooking and sampling each ingredient. Staff offered recommendations and the condiment bar allowed customization. I ate 15 plates!
Got lots to eat but not sure why we cannot have just hot
Got lots to eat but not sure why we cannot have just hot water to add to soup. Our friend who is health conscious wondered about their milky coloured soup broth that kept adding to the pot. Service is fine and a very good priced AYCE hot pot. Will definitely love to go again:-) Parking in the same building as the CIBC.
So let me start off by saying this, Happy Lamb is a good
So let me start off by saying this, Happy Lamb is a good restaurant with delicious food. I have gone for my friends and my own birthday on multiple occasions. My main issue is their service. Me and my friends are all teenagers and we look young-ish, so we got taken advantage of because of that and we had little to no service. On our most recent visit, we ordered a normal amount of food for 5 people with AYCE since we hadn't eaten all day up until that point. We ordered a decent amount on our first order since we were all starving. The first order comes and we're already missing a number of dishes, but they brought just over half of what we ordered, so we just let it go. After we ordered for the second time, we got absolutely none of the dishes we ordered, no exaggeration there. I found that absolutely outrageous because we all paid for AYCE ($35) and we didn't even get our full first order, let alone any of the second. The waiter came to our table twice during our second order asking what we were missing, which we told him both times that it was our whole second order. The first time of telling the waiter what we didn't have, we told him everything we could remember. 20 minutes later, nothing came. The waiter came around again to ask the same question, which we shortened what we were missing just so we would get a portion of our second order. Lo and behold, nothing came even after waiting for quite a while once more. This isn't the first time they've "forgotten" to bring food because it's happened multiple times, although this was the worst. Regardless, 5 of us each paid $35 just for enough food to feed at most 2 people. We were still hungry and unsatisfied at the end and debated on walking to Metrotown to get a real dinner. We even tipped them above average for 5 teenagers without jobs. It's absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable to pay $175 + tip when our first order was partially neglected, and our second order was nonexistent. I've gone to this restaurant before with my Chinese aunt and mom before, and they didn't miss out on anything we've ordered, giving us exceptional service on top of that. I've only had problems when I've went with my friends, which just proves how the staff here take advantage of teenagers. My advice is to go to Happy Lamb with a Chinese adult who can speak Chinese. TLDR; Teenagers are neglected and get bad service so go with an adult

So we had a late supper (7pm) and decided that as since it was a cold rainy night that we'd do Hotpot.. we wanted to try others but the waits were 90-120mins.. I called up this location and the host said that he had 2 tables for 2 so we rushed over .. walked in and sat at a table outside on their deck enough for 6 people .. that I found weird but I wasn't going to complain .. we had groups of 30-40 multiple times and it was okay.. this time .. the condiment seemed to be watered down .. the chili sauces didn't have a bite.. the food we order .. some showed up whilst others didn't so we had to reorder since it's an all you can eat.. we went with their higher priced option with the scallops and black prawns (frozen) and it was okay.. there wasn't much flavour in the mushroom soup broth.. the only saving grace was this phenomenal server (younger Chinese fellow) who was patient and walked us thru as how to order as it had been a while .. not bad for $70 but not like what it was before .. there used to be a complimentary plum drink .. not anymore.. so don't know if I'd go back again but that's my opinion.. the manager was a funny nonchalant guy that went to his regulars who were chugging beer and rightly so.. nice guy . All in all the service was good.. ambiance well you're on an outside deck .. food was okay but slow coming out and it would've been nice to get everything we had order the first time around
We like coming here for All You Can Eat hot pot.
Food is always fresh and the sliced beef is good quality. We order the soup base for $9.99 extra ( they require you to order a soup base), $31.99 for 12+ years old. Soft drinks for $2.99 and they offer refills. There is a small selection of ready cooked food such as fries, egg rolls and noodles. The sauce bar has a great selection of your standard sauces (peanut, satay, chilli sesame oil etc..) I recommend making reservations, they are usually packed even on week day nights.
Great place for hot pot located just on Kingsway.
Easy parking in the same building. They have an extensive menu to choose from and can split the pot with 1/2 and 1/2 spicy and non spicy broth. Unlimited soft drinks for a fee. There's also Happy Hour pricing before and after dinner till close. Service is fast and highly recommend you call to make reservations.
We came here on a weekday for lunch.
We ordered the mini hotpot. Food: 3.5/5 - we opted for the mini hot pot for one. It was sufficient for one. We both had the seafood which had cod fillet, prawn, shrimp ball, fish tofu, yam, napa cabbage, a couple leaves of leaf lettuce and egg noodles. The mini hot pots are available for vegetarians and meat eaters. In addition to the mini hot pots, the house broth and prune juice are included in the price. The broth was tasty & they topped up the broth. There are also appetizers, skewers, soy bean milk, & buns/pies to order separately. The foods' freshness was average. Service: 2/5 - we waited an hour for our food to come & when we inquired, no explanation was given. The place wasn't hopping busy. We were ready to walk out. At the end, they tried to make up for the delay by offering a complimentary jelly dessert. Ambiance: 3/5 - clean and nice décor. There is a separate area for a large party. Location: located on the top floor off Kingsway & McMurray Parking: metered parking out front or on the residential streets Note: if you have particular dietary requirements, & don't want to mix meat with your food, this isn't the place for you as there's one pot per table. I doubt we'll be back as there are other hot pot places to try on Kingsway.
Great service & food.
You can have All You Can Eat. Or small/large hot pot. there are side orders & desserts. The quality and price is amazing. Must try with friends. There is a side table full of different sauces Make reservations it gets very busy. Tel: 604-434-0001 1130--1030pm 4755-Kingsway Free underground parking Just above CIBC back across from Superstore **Corner of McKercher Avenue

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
