The BEST Bloody Mary we've ever had!!! This location VERY close tothe Market and cozy vibe. The Sunday roast selections are quite nice. We opted for the rump roast selection and everything on that plate was soul satisfying! Service was spot on, gracious pleasant and helpful. Can't wait for this to open in Chicago!!

Hawksmoor are reliable, have great service and food and are generally really friendly welcoming places. I do think the dining room here can be a touch on the noisy side, but I wouldn't call it a "quiet date night" spot anyway
Be the first to ReplyThis was probably the best steak house lunch I had in
This was probably the best steak house lunch I had in awhile. The original location is still standing strong. We had reservations for noon and glad we did. Placed filled up quickly. Ordered 2 set lunch special steak frites. Steak frites were dry-aged rump, beef dripping fries, bone marrow & onions, watercress. Opted for Yorkshire pudding starter which was excellent. Steaks were excellent as well.

Very good service, customer service were excellent! good ambience and good environment. The steak was perfectly cooked with medium, perfectly seasoned and we paired it with a glass of red wine. Dessert is amazing, chocolate tart just melts in your mouth! Would recommend this restaurant.

One of the best Sunday Roasts ever!We literally just randomly picked coming here and it was one of the best places! Our server was so nice and helpful and even comped us a sticky toffee pudding because we needed to try the traditional dessert! Seriously the best desserts we had in London!Definitely will be a go to when in London, I want to eat more of their menu! Their meat selection looked incredible!Going to have to check the one in NYC soon!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing steak, friendly and knowledgeable staff and awesome
Amazing steak, friendly and knowledgeable staff and awesome food overall. My friend and I shared a steak, the bone marrow, and the asparagus and Mac & cheese sides. It was a little too much food for us and we didn't have room for dessert. Reservations were pretty easy to get too. Recommended!

Great steak and an amazing environment! Staff was very polite and easy to speak to. I would go here again.
Be the first to ReplyI can't say enough about how damn good our Sunday roast was.
We had the perfect bottle of French red to go with our tender cooked beef and all the fixings including yorkshire pudding and roasted veg. The mac and cheese was a decadent addition, but who's worrying on a Sunday. And to top it off, we had a sticky toffee pudding which honestly was one of the most sinful desserts ever and worth every damn morsel. I can't wait to come back when I visit London again. This is what makes Sunday roasts famous here.

Great steak (the waiter asked me how the steak was and I said "good". He said, "Just good?")Got the 400g ribeye paired with the bone marrow gravy with a side of the triple dipped chips and sourdough bread with butterRibeye was medium rare and cooked perfectly. Quite magical really, the bone marrow gravy was mouth wateringly good.Chips were crispy, dipped into the gravy for extra pointsSourdough came cold and sad but they toasted it for me and it was much better.

Hawksmoor is a classic steakhouse that I was fortunate enough to eat at on a Sunday, which inevitably means Sunday Roast. At Hawksmoor, you'll get a rump/sirloin steak cooked medium rare - quite tender and moist with a bit of charred fat, and especially good when combined with the the bread and garlic. You'll definitely need to be rolled out of here after finishing up the Sunday Roast.

Showed up on a Tuesday night without a reservation, stated they could accommodate us but it would be a 40 minute wait. We opted to go downstairs to the cocktail lounge where we met an amazing bartender Paul. He went above and beyond explaining menu items and creating cocktails off menu. About an hour after we arrived we were brought back upstairs and seated. My husband and I decided to share the bone in prime rib 800. It was the smallest size available and state it's great for sharing it was plenty. We purchased an appetizer and two sides. I don't remember what the appetizer was it something beef with gravy it was amazing we're from America and it was very different definitely recommend trying. The primary was appropriately cooked and more than enough for us to share. We did the 10 made of salad which is three different types of tomatoes cucumbers onions and covered in a vinaigrette highly recommended. We did the mash with cheese and added the gravy although the gravy sounded different since it was made with bone marrow between it and the cheese the mashed potatoes just melted in your mouth. I only gave them a four star because everything took forever. Great place just hope you're not in a hurry! The entire adventure took almost three hours.
Be the first to ReplyBest Chateaubriand in the land.
There are many great steak houses across England, Europe, Japan, the US. But for Chateaubriand, I don't know of any steak house that rivals what you get here. Maldon sea salt. Smoked Maldon sea salt and coarse black pepper. This is as good as it gets. Upsize your order. You will be sad to see the last bit.
Be the first to ReplyI brought a long time friend here for a birthday dinner.
I don't necessarily like steak but I had a piece of hers and it was amazing. I ordered the South Coast Hake with a side of mac and cheese. Both were tasteless. The drinks were good and prices what is typical of a bar but they had a more than usual amount of ice. The wine was poured short of what's expected. May have been cheaper to purchase the bottle. Long story short, steak was great. Drinks too expensive. The other food needed seasoning. Come here for steak.
Be the first to ReplyMy husband & I were here for another great meal last night.
We both had filets (rare) and shared 3 sides, which was a lot of food. The creamed spinach and macaroni and cheese were great. The fries also were tasty, but I wish they were cut s little thicker. The only negative about last night was that the restaurant seemed a bit understaffed, but we never have experienced that at any Hawksmoor in the past.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect steak dinner in London.
We started with the bone marrow for appetizer. Very rich and fatty. Yum! We ordered the rib eye and strip steak with mac & cheese and creamed of spinach for sides. Steak were cooked to perfection. We ended the evening with the sticky toffee pudding topped with clotted cream - amazing! Service was wonderful and attentive. This is a must when in London!

Hawksmoor is a classic, lively steakhouse with convenient locations throughout London. We visited the Spitalfields branch during our August trip and it has a quiet kind of swagger. The cocktail list is super in-depth, with lots of commentary. I had some kind of gin drink and my boyfriend a whiskey drink; both were good, though at a high cost.To start, we had bone marrow with caramelized onions (8 pounds), which was a great pairing and a huge portion for the price. Definitely get this if you're a bone marrow fan.We split a nice-sized chateaubriand (13 pounds per 100g, portions starting around 300g) with peppercorn sauce on the side. So good... perfectly cooked to medium rare. Great juicy texture and meaty flavor, with a mild sear. The side of mushrooms was probably good for our health, but skippable.Overall, this is reliable luxury food at reasonable prices. Service was fine; there were many bathrooms. It wasn't overly busy on a Monday but I would recommend booking ahead for the weekend.
Be the first to ReplyHawksmoor cooked up one of the tastiest meals I've ever
Hawksmoor cooked up one of the tastiest meals I've ever experienced. Our waitress (Kirin?) graciously guided us through the ordering process. Everything was masterfully cooked. The fillet's were brought to the perfect temperature and sliced just right. The Peppercorn and hollandaise sauces for the steak and broccoli were magical. The mash potatoes were rich and filled with flavor. As an American, I instantly tasted the difference in quality of meat compared to what is grown and raised in the states. My eyes are now opened to the full flavor of hormone-free grass-fed steak. Hopefully the U.S / U.K trade talks won't force Britain down the path of cheap tasteless beef. Thank you Hawksmoor Spitalfields for the great meal!
