I only ordered a drink, a large lemonade kick; like it's name it has a kick with a spicy taste. Would like to come back and try their food menu. Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5

Great study space area and satisfying sourdough with student discount! Definitely a healthy option if you're walking down to SOHO or around the NYU area.

I walk by the Noho Honeybrains often, and today I decided to try it for a late lunch. I took a bite of their chicken sandwich just now, immediately questioned its texture, and then found it to be undercooked and odd-looking. The lettuce on it was old and wilted, with dark spots. I tossed the whole thing. Yuck! Just wasted $18. My first time at Honeybrains will be my last.
Be the first to ReplyMy friend raves about this place so I decided to visit.
The fast casual is very spacious, bright and has ample seating. It had two places for ordering and picking up orders. I ordered my food a head but I still had to wait a few minutes to get my order. The staff was very friendly and sweet. This one customer was dominated the space without allowing other people to get their order. The server saw me waiting and smiled and said I hope I have a great day. I ordered the chicken and rice. It had good amount of protein and rice but, I thought it had a bit too much spinach. The honey pesto was interesting and I wish I had thought to ask for two sauces because it was tasty. The bowl was big enough for two small meals. I wouldn't recommend saving for later as it didn't re-heat very well. I think it is a good option for people who are looking for a healthy lunch.

I wish they'd bring this NY chain to LA! The salad was everything I wanted and more. The perfect serving size and mix of greens/toppings. I'm always a bit hesitant when I see that the salad is premade and sitting in a cooler but after trying the salad, it's freshness was nothing to fear. Would get this for lunch at least once a week if I lived nearby. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick and nutritious meal that's also delicious!

Tazz is the best and most patient worker I have ever encountered. As someone who is very indecisive and cannot make up my mind on what to eat Tazz solved that for me without any trouble. Just by asking me a few questions about myself she was able to recommend the Pulled Steak Burrito Bowl which was absolutely delectable. The Hibiscus Sunset was the perfect drink to wash everything down with and even left me with an extra bounce in my step of happiness. Upon receiving my order she guided me to a seat in which allowed me the opportunity to soak in the beautiful and unique atmosphere. I would trust her with all my future eatery decisions. To Tazz, thank you for helping me out and making my experience so memorable.

I recently embarked on a gastronomic adventure to HoneyBrains, the mecca of breakfast and brunch delights. But let me tell you, the highlight of this culinary escapade wasn't just the delectable dishes--it was the one and only Tazz, the maestro of customer service who turned a simple meal into a memorable spectacle! From the moment I stepped through the door, Tazz's energy was like a double shot of espresso injected straight into my soul. If there's an Olympic event for high-fiving customers, Tazz would secure the gold medal without breaking a sweat. With a smile that could rival the sun, she welcomed me. As I perused the menu, Tazz took center stage once more, armed with a repertoire of puns and jokes that could make even a pancake flip with laughter. "Feeling egg-cited today? Our omelettes are egg-ceptional!" they exclaimed, causing an egg-plosion of giggles from neighboring tables. But it wasn't just the comedic flair that won me over; Tazz's knowledge of the menu was as impressive as a pancake stack reaching for the heavens. She guided me through a maze of options, navigating with the finesse of a GPS system tailored for foodies. Ultimately, I knew what I wanted. When my order arrived, it was as if Tazz had personally sprinkled extra pixie dust over each plate. The food was not just nourishment--it was a masterpiece. The Avocado Toast and Oatmeal were to die for. As I reluctantly prepared to leave this haven of brunch brilliance, Tazz's farewell was like the closing scene of a Broadway show, leaving me with a fond farewell that I will cherish until my next visit. So, to Tazz, the unsung hero of HoneyBrains, I raise my chai latte and toast to your extraordinary service. You've set a new standard for brunch-time enchantment, and your name shall forever be synonymous with the perfect poached egg and impeccable hospitality. Until our brunch paths cross again, keep shining like the morning sun you truly are!

I'm torn, I liked what I ordered but the added sauce/dressing really carried the dish. This was the Daily Catch bowl, with a chickpea substitute instead of the default sweet potato. The components of the bowl were nicely prepared and plated nicely. But the dish overall was missing a refining touch. I ended up switching the original sauce I chose for the honey sriracha and I thought it complimented the bowl better.

We walked into Honey Brain to grab a quick drink and met Yaz who was friendly, informative and understood the value of customer service, guaranteeing that we would return again. It was a lovely exchange and one that stood as we visited many stores and cafes throughout the day.

My boyfriend and I came here for a coffee / tea break in the afternoon from shopping. He got a hot coffee and I got a chai latte. It was good, not the best in my life but I was able to sit and enjoy it. Glad there was the ample seating available as well.

Ok, the name of this place kind of threw me off when I was first looking for somewhere to eat, but I read up on the story of how the name came to be and how the food is based entirely on neuroscience. Very cool concept, indeed! While visiting NYC, we did a lot of walking, exploring different parts of the city and of course, looking for good places to eat. I was immediately interested when I started reading the menu here, and even more excited when I saw how good the food looked. I had the Cobb Salad and it was absolutely delicious. I loved the turkey bacon and the egg was perfectly cooked. All the ingredients in the salad were fresh, and it was such a great find in a city filled with pizza, hot dogs and pretzels. I also had a side of the honey and butter, which was really disappointing because the bread was quite dry like it had been sitting out uncovered for a period of time. For almost $8, I expected fresh bread. The butter was really nice, but couldn't save the bread. Perhaps if it had been toasted it would have been better, or probably would've been good earlier in the day. Oh well. I definitely recommend this spot for a nice healthy and delicious meal.
Be the first to ReplyMaybe the worst bowl I've ever had.
I got the one w steak and watermelon. The steak was like well well done / cold / and chewy. Borderline inedible. You get maybe 3.5 oz of steak for $16? Lol. Not sure how this place is busy. Maybe their drinks are decent? Food is disgusting. Only reason why I didn't give give it one star, the person who helped me was nice!
Be the first to ReplyI tried the carne asada bowl via takeout.
It was super delicious and healthy - a salad with rice topped with pickled onions, watermelon, and steak. The basil and honey dressing paired super well. My only complaints were that I wish there was more steak and that the portions were slightly bigger. I was still slightly hungry after finishing the bowl (although I hit a leg day before and I'm usually hungrier after those). But again, super yummy and felt like a healthy bad bitch eating it.
Be the first to ReplyI think this place has a great concept.
I heard the quality was much better when it first opened, but I can see how the quality has gone down. Inside feels worn and grimy. I love the menu and all the choices. I ordered the Carne Asada brain bowl and it was awful. I would be down to try other bowls. The meat is severely over cooked, dry and had no taste. It was almost not edible. Not sure if management or the owners care about the place anymore.

I love the mission of Honeybrains and most importantly, their food. The daily catch bowl is well-balanced and leaves me feeling perfectly satisfied. The jerk salmon bowl is unique and worth a try as well! I like that Honeybrains is healthy without compromising flavor and so I feel like I can bring any type of eater here.
Be the first to ReplyAlways fresh, high quality and tailored to your preferences.
you can purchase just protein, sides, or individual toast. If you were keto or Paleo you can get a protein at a great price. The drinks are great, and I recommend the 8 min egg!!

I'm not a big salad guy but this is one of my go-to spots for lunch whenever I feel like eating clean. Eating a salad with just leaves and no dressing and meat feels like eating a bowl of computer paper. They do their salads well here. My favorites are their Cobb, Farm, Jerk Salmon, and Wake and Steak bowls with basil and honey dressing and an 8-minute omega-3 egg. The steak is seasoned wonderfully and tender, the salmon is nice and flaky and the seasoned walnuts add a great crunch. The venue has a clean and modern aesthetic with a communal table and several round tables. it can get pretty crowded during peak lunch hours, so I'd recommend coming after 2. They also offer supplements, juice, and shots if you're into that.Staff weren't the friendliest the past few times, so a star off for that.

Be the first to ReplyI was visiting during the week of 3/14/22 when I witnessed
I was visiting during the week of 3/14/22 when I witnessed an employee's egregiously rude behavior towards a customer. The customer apparently asked for tomato on her avocado toast sandwich. Once she received her sandwich, this employee walked-up to the customer and began berating her. Specifically, she told the customer, in a brutally condescending tone, that "going forward" tomatoes would not be available on avocado toast sandwiches because, for some reason, this is not what Honeybrains does. I have never seen something so egregiously rude and petty. I would love to know why this employee thinks that interaction was appropriate. Regardless, it was enough for me, who observed the interaction from a distance, to never go back. I will not be talked to like that -- especially over some seemingly BS rule about tomatoes on a sandwich, which I, as the customer paying for the damned thing, will get if I ask for it. I just don't understand...who the hell does this employee think she is to talk to customers this way? Going forward, perhaps Honeybrains should do a better job of screening its hires.
