The Hotel Jerome is a luxury hotel with amazing restaurant food and common areas (The Living Room, J Bar, Prospect) but frankly misses the mark on their actual hotel rooms and room amenities. I understand that the hotel wants to stay true to their historic cowboy theme but the rooms look a bit plain and offer no other amenities other than coffee and water. If you are staying at a 5 Star hotel any paying almost $1,000 per night the rooms should feel a bit more elegant or chic. My husband and I were a bit disappointed since we had stayed at the Auberge property in Utah where the rooms where beautifully appointed and healthy snacks (fruit, bars) were replenished daily. They also offered free wellness activities (yoga, meditation) at the Utah hotel which they don't offer at the Aspen location. Basically, we could have just stayed at another hotel (St. Regis or Little Nell) for less and just walked over to have dinner in the Living Room or J Bar which is what we enjoyed the most about our stay. Also, I had a massage in their spa (which is just a waiting room and 3 treatment rooms). The massage was amazing, but I would have at least expected there to be a steam room/dry sauna/hot tub. Lesson learned! We won't be staying here next time we are in town.
