Kicked out a friend for adding a person to make it a party of 5 out side...they've allowed 5 in the past Today, we were outside and asked us to leave to turn the table...we were there for 1hr and 45 mins. Management seems a bit too aggressive for my taste

I came in by myself and was promptly sat and was recommended for me a cocktail that is no longer on the menu. It was called Bees Knees and it was so good! The service was friendly and the bartender Chad was so personal and funny. Gianna was also really great and accommodating. Chad recommended that I try the grilled artichokes and the ruby red trout. Both were made to perfection and I will definitely return soon!

Loud, noisy, and rude But, innovative preparation of traditional food dishes such as Cole Slaw (with Kale) and Taboule made entirely with Kale instead of Parsley, with an added dash of corn and cucumber. The roasted chicken is ENORMOUS, a full chicken breast with wings attached. The grilled trout also well prepared, if a bit small. The grilled artichoke is AMAZING (that is if you are lucky enough to get one, and rich enough to pay $21 for an appetizer/veggie side.) While the waiter service is efficient, management is domineering, snobby, and RUDE. It's their way or "the highway" (a take it or leave it attitude), and this operation sticks from the top. Despite many good qualities, overall, you'd do much better going elsewhere.

This is a beautiful location and I believe the first one I had even been to around 1998. I picked up some friends from FLL on a Wed afternoon and thought it would be the perfect place to go for a late lunch. It was a beautiful day and we sat at the outside bar as it was 45-60 minutes for a table outside. Seems whenever you go there is a long wait time so maybe they should bus tables faster or get more staff. We sat outside and were greeted by Tim who asked if we were going to eat at the bar. I said we'd look at some menus and he immediately had a smart retort, which is fine, but his snarky attitude continued throughout our meal, he never checked to see how the food was and I think he went and got the host to intervene on a conversation I was having with a bar fly that was a trumper and wouldn't stop talking to me even though I tried to cut it. Besides that, the food was good and we enjoyed our time. One of my friends and I ordered the Asian salad and loved it, as usual. I also like the French Dip and their fries.

Food fair. Very noisy and people came in clearly not following dress code but were seated. Several wore caps. Trying to be upscale but no better than Applebees.
The food was fine, the environment was attractive.
But from start to finish, the management's and staff's attitude and practices were insulting. We were a party of three for lunch, including two 60-some year olds and one woman over 90. They state online that they do not want children, prefer parties of two, and may not seat larger parties. We have no problem complying with a dress code. But I bristle at being subject to an ongoing condescending lecture. For example, we were greeted at the reception desk with a large, hardcover book, "Etiquette" by Emily Post, with the title facing us. That was good for a laugh, at least. In fact, I was there with the woman who used to teach me Emily Post's rules when I was a child. The menus informed us that the chef does not recommend, and would not assure compliance with a request for beef cooked medium or greater. (I prefer a medium rare myself. Lucky me, I was in compliance.) I would be embarrassed to take a business associate here lest they feel insulted as well. I wonder what Emily Post would have said?

An amazing experience! The restaurants general manager, John, was very friendly and greeted us when we arrived. The staff were amazing, the patio was spectacular, and the food was great! If you're looking for a calm and relaxing environment. Come visit this location! Go see Gianna at the back bar!
Sophisticated lunch venue
Very upscale restaurant with excellent food and service. Reservations needed here for sure. Despite being very busy service was professional and prompt. Servers excellent and food delicious.

Atmosphere is beautiful inside and out.
Every dish we ordered was fantastic. We had shrimp cocktails ( great size shrimp nice and firm with 2 fantastic sauce's) artichokes ( over the top with great dips) the bread service- has amazing huge olives, trout and side dishes we ordered a fabulous including an apple dessert with huge delicious walnuts. I had a vodka martini and they comeback and change the glass so it's iced in the middle which I've never seen before. Service was also excellent. It's truly my favorite restaurant.

First thing you should know is you need to put ur name in for a table at the hostess stand for a table AND both bars for sitting at the bar. On a semi busy night we put our names in at all 3 places. Bar outside was busy. Unfortunately I don't think the bartenders could handle the business . 2 manager's stood to the right with little to no regard to the customers that were waiting for a table. Will keep on the siffwrnt car seats.
So disappointing
So disappointing! This used to be our favorite place! They have limited the menu and the size of the tables. My husband got a burger tonight that looked spectacular when they brought it out until you realized that it was thin and looked big because of the lettuce and tomato piled on. The quality of the meat was sub par for a $23 burger! I ordered a grouper sandwich and they were out of it at 5:30 on a Saturday night! We will not go back!
POOR BAR SERVICE
Arrived at 6:45pm for a 7pm reservation. The greeter mentioned they were running behind. No problem we’ll go to the bar. I got the attention of the bartender as he was serving another guest. He looked up and without hesitation “if you want service you need to go to the end of the bar”. He turned around and completely dismissed me. I moved to the end of the bar and the other bartender was telling another guest “there are many people ahead of you so it’s going to be awhile”. When I looked back at the other bartender he was taking pictures of girls that were seated at the bar. I opted to not to have drinks and waited another 30 minutes past my reservation to be seated. I’m a big fan of Hillstone and make it a point to dine whenever I can but this bar experience was not at the usual high level of service I know they’re capable of. These two bartenders need a lesson in “unreasonable hospitality” and how to ascertain guests needs. Very disappointing. Dinner was lovely.

We were in Pompano Beach on Wednesday on business and decided to have lunch at our favorite Houston's. We have eaten here several times and have always loved sitting outdoors by the Intracoastal watching the yachts, boats, airplanes, and jet skiers go by. The ambiance is very relaxing both indoors and outdoors. We always know that the food here is going to be above par and they didn't disappoint this time either. We decided to order our favorite lunches. My daughter had the Hawaiian ribeye with fries, and I had the French Dip sandwich with fries. Delicious and it hit the spot! We passed on dessert. Our server was Jasmine, who was very nice, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Service was quick and friendly. I would like to add a special mention about A.J., who deserves a gold star for going above and beyond her duties by helping me when I was having a physical difficulty after getting up from sitting too long in my chair. My knee gave out, and I was in severe pain. I couldn't walk and was holding on to the table umbrella for support. I was stunned and couldn't think how I was going to walk to the car. I had my cane with me, but it wasn't enough support at this time. A.J. rushed over to ask me if I needed help and offered her arm as support to help me make it to our car. Without her help, I was stuck in one spot because I couldn't move. Slowly, we started walking to the parking lot. When my daughter saw the trouble that I was having, she jumped out of the car and came running over to help. I made it to the car with their help. A.J. was so gracious and helpful. I am very grateful to her and hope Houston's Restaurant recognizes what a valuable employee they have in her! She saw an emergency and rushed to resolve the situation without hesitation. Thank you, A.J. Parking is easy and available right at the restaurant. They also have wheelchair accessiblability. The location is easy to get to from I95. We look forward to going back again in the near future.
20 minute wait/no service
Arrived as a party of 4, appropriately dressed at 3 PM. Shown to a table with another party of 4 next to us. Multiple servers approached the other table multiple times while we sat for 20 minutes without being approached by anyone. We stopped at the check in desk as we departed & told them why we were leaving. They did not apologize in any way. A miserable experience. Woukd like to give ZERO stars.

Very arrogant staff and bar tenders, including especially management. Good food, but long lines to get in and won’t take reservations. Patio tables bolted down . Won’t try to accommodate larger groups. Sit at separate tables or leave - that’s their attitude. Stick with J Marks or Alexanders for friendly service & good food.

All was fine until my lunch came. Having ordered a cheeseburger and requesting no pickles, I discovered on my first bite the presence of mustard, which I hate. Our server was most gracious in offering another to be made. My lunch arrived half a meal later, and to my dismay, slathered on the bun is some mayo, which is a close runner up to mustard in my book. Scraped off all I could, drowned the remainder with ketchup and ate my burger. When our desserts and coffee came I added cream to mine, and little whites started floating to the top. I was told that the cream and milk are checked daily. Asked if I’d like another I informed her that I was quite done and returned it. When presented with the check I was told that I wasn’t charged for the coffee. Honestly I left a 15% tip as it’s not really her fault, but I’ll never spend $110 on lunch at Houston’s again. BTW there is no mention of condiments on the menu…..
Anti-American, go elsewhere
Well the chain restaurant food is nothing special. Way over-priced for what you get. The real shocker came when we discovered that they do not accept the Legal Currency of the United States! They only accept credit or debit cards. For Houston's, here is a reminder of what is printed in the front of all US currency "This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private", it cannot be any more clear than that. We will certainly not be visiting any Houston's again!
Do not visit at busy times, poor steak standard at high price
We are currently on vacation and had two great meals here. Unfortunately the third was a terrible experience. It was a busy Saturday afternoon and it took far to long to seat us, we were left standing around and the greeter needs some education on customer service. As we had two very good meals our expectation was high for a quality meal. We decided to order steaks this time as even though they are on the pricy side the food quality had been good so we expected a really good steak. I cannot express enough, do not order a steak! We sent them back as they were the worst steaks I have seen! I was shocked at their inability to cook a decent steak at the prices they charge! We expressed straight away that they were not a good enough standard and the staff literally stood in front of me lagging me off to her manager! Very rude and very upsetting. I went over and expressed my upset for them talking about me in front of my face and the Manager admitted that this wasn't okay. They were also obviously not coping with the amount of customers and all the other food came out at a poor standard. I told our server this and although she was lovely, I was surprised nothing was deducted from our bill! Would certainly not recommend as can't cope when busy and poor service.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
