iggy’s Nashville Reviews from The Last Year

Perfection! My friends celebrated my birthday here; the restaurant curated a menu for us. Each and every dish was superb! The cacio and pasta with shrimp were my favorites! Not to mention the absolutely divine panna cotta dessert! Service was impeccable from start to finish!
Went for a pre-Valentine's date night.
The atmosphere was great. The sound system rocked, and the food was wonderful. Will definitely be going back soon.
Best meal I have had in a very long time.
The ambiance was nice, it didn't feel snobby, it was clearly all about the food. I felt the art in the dishes and everything we ate was VERY delicious. Stand outs: AGNOLOTTI with black truffle was 10/10, olive oil lemon vanilla soft serve was to die for. Can't wait to go back and try so many other things.
there is nothing to improve upon.
Absolutely amazing food and the venue and music are perfect!! We'll be back!
A lovely addition to the growing fresh pasta scene in
A lovely addition to the growing fresh pasta scene in Nashville and a true ambience gem if you get the treat of sitting at the chef's counter! I love super fresh, super perfectly executed pasta recipes and was so excited by the addition of a new addition to that scene, let alone one located in my favorite neighborhood to go out and eat in: Wedgewood Houston! Some of my favorite things about this menu: just absolutely incredible service every time I've been here, from the hosts to the waitresses I've had, to the chefs bringing and explaining dishes. Eating at the chef's counter is always a true delight and honestly one of the reasons I come here sometimes. I love watching the kitchen cook while enjoying my meal and it gets me excited to try new things the next time I come because of what I see coming out of the kitchen. A+ ambience. Other highlights: The pasta is so fresh and ALWAYS cooked perfectly al dente. Moreover they are doing some very classic and authentic things with the non-red sauce options, which is very exciting to me. That said, sometimes the flavor execution can be a bit hit or miss for me. For example, the aglio e olio was a bit lemon-heavy than my personal taste for that dish. The pasta choice for the cacio e Pepe was also not my favorite despite the sauce being very good. That said, any ravioli or agnolottis I've had here have been just impeccable. I have also really loved all of my starters: the flavor on the arancini is unreal and the garlic bread (while very rich, would not be able to get this frequently) is viral for a reason. Dessert is always some kind of soft serve creation which makes for a nice palate cleanser on the stomach after eating a bunch of heavier food (a little pricier than I'd expect it to be). Really amazing wine selection at very reasonable price points for the quality and some very tasty mocktails, too! (The lime Rickey is not to be missed!) Another small gripe is the price point to size of dishes is a little more than what I expected. Any of the stuffed pasta types tend to be smaller dishes, but often use really elevated ingredients, driving up the price point. Not a deal breaker for me, but often means I'm spending a little more than I was hoping to, in order to feel full at the end of my meal. 20% gratuity automatically added to your check (I actually love when restaurants do this because it helps simplify paying at the end of a meal.) Would love to come back and try their Sunday "no decisions" dinner ($130 plus tax & service charge for literally so much food) in the hopes of getting some off menu chef's specialties, as I saw my dining neighbors do on a recent visit. Very limited street parking, so I've tended to pay for parking in one of the nearby lots.

Finally an Italian restaurant in Nashville that really knows how to serve pasta. Perfectly al dente, with flavor profiles that reminded us of Italy. Salads and apps were also well executed, and the wine list is thoughtful and presented at an appealing price point. Cool vibe inside, casually elegant. Service on point. Really enjoyed our first visit to Iggy's, very well done from start to finish. Highly recommended.

I loved the butternut squash, and I loved the garlic bread, 10 out of 10! I love their open kitchen concept, cool building, and nice intimate experience. The staff was all incredibly friendly and helpful including the chef! I would've ordered dessert, but my date declined, except had I known I was going to be splitting the bill with him, I would've definitely got some and not had him order for me! Lol, you live and you learn.
Good atmosphere, yes very loud! But I like it I'm young!
Good atmosphere, yes very loud! But I like it I'm young! THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! MUST GET GARLIC BREAD! Loved the wine.... It was 70 dollars but damn it was good! I would leave the burrata out, definitely just get the garlic bread. -.5 star for waiters telling me how I SHOULD ORDER.... I don't want to be told how I should order I'm paying 200 dollars to eat let me chose how I want to order???? Also I don't mind the 20% added but our server didn't deserve 20% I would have given it either way but he was very pushy I think they need to lean back. -.5 portions need to be at least 4 noddles bigger! I understand the cost and price point but 26 dollars for 6 pieces cmon? I love the restaurant definitely will go back when my funds are up!
I love when restaurants have a short menu where every dish
I love when restaurants have a short menu where every dish is super well executed, and I love it even more when I want to order everything off that menu. Iggy's is one of those restaurants. We started with the garlic bread, arancini, and whipped ricotta. The whipped ricotta was the highlight, with the whipped ricotta paired with a sweet onion jam to make this a sweeter bite. The garlic bread was unfortunately too cream cheese heavy for me. Arancini were solid, with a nice crispy exterior. For the pastas, we tried: Cacio e Pepe gargenelli - To my surprise, this might have been my favorite pasta of the night. The pasta is made with the black pepper embedded in it, and usually I don't like black pepper, but somehow it didn't bother me at all in this dish. Agnolotti - I'm always a fan of agnolotti, this was creamy and felt lighter from the acidity of the lemon that was in the sauce. "Little Ribbons" Bolognese - This was the most comforting of the pastas, just solid red sauce and meat with a nice crunch from the breadcrumbs. Butternut squash tortellini - This was nice and creamy, with a super buttery flavor (which is not for me personally, but everyone else really liked it). Squid Ink Radiatore Fra Diavolo - The spice in this pasta was just enough to make it known but not overwhelming. Another great pasta if you like spice. But really all the pastas were solid so you can't go wrong.
Great homemade pastas.
Good for sharing and trying multiple plates! Staff was friendly and cocktails were good. Nice to get out of downtown.
